  It appears we were bamboozled by international financiers to turn our public utilities like electricity and water supplies to private companies on the alter of efficiency. But I doubt whether those utility companies the water and electricity companies are any more efficient or deliver any better service than before they became private companies. We are paying higher tariffs for poor and worse outcomes than before they became private companies. Should they be returned into the public domain if the only useful purpose they serve is to fatten the pockets of their owners with higher tariffs for poor services
