What do you expect students to do when they have no lectures, project works, tutorials because TEWU is on strike ? BUZZ and go afloat. Pay the lecturers, let them start lectures and see how many students will Know they are behind and study instead of going to town.

Floats have been organised regularly without incident and with Police protection. Does it not strike you that this sounds unusual and requires some questions answered before you try to rubbish the Police

I salute the Police for this prompt intervention that thwarted the demonstration of the students. The students think they are the only ones who have been in school. Most of us writing here have been in school long before them and we know how we dribbled authorities. Even though your leadership is saying it was a float I bet it was a demonstration but because it was foiled you are giving other reasons. Bravo to the Police and we all urge them never to relent. If students want to be handled with high handedness, they should at all cost be prepared to accept the consequences.

According to the report, over 50 policemen were deployed to stop the float. I believe only 25 policemen could have monitored the float without incident.

However if you flout thier orders and you go on with the demonstration curiousely they would get brutal police officers who would come and beat you up.
