Ghana is on the right path in world economics but does this represent a recovery? Europeans are now on the backfoot including the UK with serious borrowing to keep the family going on benefits.
How so soon will the likes of doctors be paid decent salaries to avoid the unnecessary strikes. The country has never had it so good with oil revenue now the main contributory factor in the growth of the economy: thanks to Mr. Kuffour's efforts in making oil prospecting possible in Ghana today.
There is undoubtedly a risk factor to high growth figures. It means Ghana has to keep it up because lack of continuous growth will mean recession. Ghana does not need that.

From the look of the trend projected here, it appears to me that the Ministries of Agriculture and Fisheries are not paying enough attention to Agriculture: particularly Food Production and Fish Farming types. This means that the country will depend on expensive food imports which we can ill afford.
Whatever happened to irrigation projects for vegetable and quick growing tuber crops that have sustained the small holding farmers in the Middle-belts? More so, when it has become clear that those dams built in the northern parts tend to get flooded annually and the crops destroyed.

since rains come in spring and summer (march-august) in usa..Most dams lower their water level in winter(oct-feb) unless its drought years
