They destroyed Ghana because they hated Kwame Nkrumah. How come you called them friends?. After America and Britain overthrew Nkrumah what did they do to help Ghana move forward? They left Ghana with military coups as they intentionally failed to support Ghana with capital to move the nation forward so that nothing could call for any coups.

Iran is not rejected by the whole world. It is the greedy, selfish, and smart power drunk minded western club nations that could give you the impression that Iran is rejected by all. If you talk of the nuclear reactors being built by the Iranians that made the west to see them bad, then smart, wise and intelligent people could ask what are the Americans and the British also doing with the nuclear reactors that they have.

Our interest must come first before we foolishly and cowardly think of other peoples feelings. Ordinarily the visit of another Head of State shouldn't raise eyebrows but the person and ideology of the current visitor vis-à-vis the tussle of his nuclear program with the UN makes the caution signaled by Prof Bluwey a significant clarion call. What is more, was it not this government that planned a group of Pastors to enter Israel for special prayers for the nation? Is our government aware this man Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has vowed publicly to annihilate the nation of Israel from the surface of the earth? May be the intended bilateral ties or whatever raison d'être is for political gains or some economic gains? But at the expense of highly expensive prize the nation stands to pay for many years to come?

I'm getting very nervous with our President's posturing; first his ties with a world renowned gay activist and now a highly controversial world figure? Why? Why the negatives? We don't want to be controlled by the West as we are independent sovereign state but let's face it we cannot antagonize the justifiable interests of the West and find the economic terrain so smooth! Mark it!

I truly shudder to imagine the long-term gains for the nation from a man of his global standing. And again I'm a bit skeptical about his leanings towards souls that stand against peace of other nations. We don't want to see one fine morning our beloved country becoming a safe haven for such souls I'm even scared to mention their proper designation here.

Show me your friend and I would tell you who you're; could it be true with our current leaders?

Ahmadinejad comes to new york every year to address the u.n...while in new york, he grants interviews to cnn and other networks...in this vein, ghanaians should not over-react to his coming visit to ghana...we should be careful not to be over-zealous and be more american than americans themselves...once iran has an embassy in accra and vice versa, their president can visit and our president can visit them ...even though iran (and north korea) do not have embassies in u.s., they have consulates in new york...apart from u.s., all countries have embassies in iran and north korea...the swiss embassy represents u.s. interests in iran and negotiates on her behalf...ghana has had good relations with iran long before ahmadinejad came to office...and i know iran helps ghana in certain areas of our development...the problem america and the european union have with iran is that, iran wants to develop nuclear weapon, which iran denies...they say they want nuclear power and not nuclear weapon...is this what ghana wants to get involve?...if our first president, kwame nkrumah was not overthrown, ghana would have gone nuclear long before iran, north korea, india and pakistan...have you heard about kwabenya?..nkrumah set up the ghana atomic energy commission in 1961 and it is still there but lack of funds and interest has rendered it a white elephant...and so we should not be naive and do for america what they themselves would not do...moreover, ahmadinejad is the chairman of the non-aligned movement, which nkrumah was a founding member, with tito of yugoslavia and nehru of india...and so as a founding member, ghana should be impartial and welcome all who wants to visit
