Man Fathers 9 Kids With Daughter, Pleads For Forgiveness

Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with daughter has pleaded with a Sogakope circuit court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.

He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakokpe Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.

Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest. According to the prosecutor, inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by a certain Torgbey Sekpetey II, chief of Ashagborkope, who is also a tax collector. The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka with whom he has nine kids. Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby and subsequently had eight other children with her. Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half old. During the interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight other children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two year old baby with his daughter.

The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter. He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area. Torgbey Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police. The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgement.**

A 40-year-old welder; Emmanuel Kwesi Yevu, who is accused of defiling his 13-year-old daughter blamed his action on “juju,” (magic) when he made his second appearance before a Circuit Court in Accra.
Yevu told the court that somebody had cast a spell on him because he was getting more customers in his carpentry business.
When the court asked why he defiled his daughter, Yevu said: “My Lord the thing came on me in a spiritual form. I sometimes dream that I am sleeping with my late wife. I took in some alcohol on the day in question before going to bed. I detected that my daughter had placed her legs on mine and I mistook her to be that of my late wife and I defiled her.”
This, according to Yevu, had had happened on two occasions. Yevu, who is charged with defilement and incest pleaded guilty. But just as the court was about to hand down Yevu’s sentence, his brother raised his hands saying he had sometime to say.
Yevu’s brother told the court that Yevu had confided in him that somebody had cast a spell on him and blamed his action on “juju.”
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa however sentenced Yevu to 10 years on each of the charges. The sentences would however run concurrently.
The court told Yevu that it only had power to deal with the charges brought against him adding: “You can pursue the juju case at the juju court.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah told the court that the complainant was the victim’s uncle.
Yevu is the father of the victim. Since the death of the victim’s mother, she had been living with the father at Omanjor in Accra. ASP Acquah said during October 2011, the victim was sleeping when Yevu forced her and had sex with her on two occasions.
After the acts, the victim informed her father that she had not menstruated for the past three months.
ASP Acquah said Yevu knowing very well that the victim was pregnant, gave the victim medicine to swallow and insert some of the medicine into her vagina.
Soon after inserting the medicine, the victim began to complain of abdominal pains and she was rushed to the hospital and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Odorkor Police station.
The victim was issued with a medical form while her father was arrested by the Police and during interrogation he admitted the offence.

Felix Torgbor, the 45-year-old mason who fathered a child with his own daughter.
A 45 year old mason has been arrested in Accra for forcibly having an affair with his daughter and subsequently, having a baby with her.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?”
These are the shocking words of Felix Torgbor, a 45-year-old mason from La, who was caught by his wife having sex with his 19-year-old daughter.
Apparently, Torgbor began having sex with his daughter when she was only 16 years old; broke her virginity and subsequently had a child with her. He is now in the grips of the Odorkor Police in Accra.
Torgbor’s three-year-old sexual affair finally came to an end when his wife caught him red-handed making love to his daughter in an uncompleted building on the dawn of Saturday August 15, at Russia, a suburb of Accra.
Salamatu, Torgbor’s wife, told DAILY GUIDE that she wakes up very early in the morning, goes to work and returns at 7:00pm.
On that fateful day, she returned from visiting her sister at about 10:00pm on Friday night. She called her husband to join her watch an African movie shown on TV, but he declined and kept moving up and down.
She then began wondering what was making her husband so jittery.
According to her, the TV station closed down around 12:00 midnight, so she went to bed.
At about 12:45am, she woke up to realize that her husband and daughter were not in bed so she went out in search of them.
Salamatu indicated that her husband is putting up a building which is just a distance from the family house where they live, so she had a strong urge to go there to search for them.
When she got there, she saw that her step-daughter had laid a piece of cloth on the floor of one of the rooms and she saw a man lying on top of her.
She yelled and held unto the man only to realize it was her husband who was moaning and groaning on top of his own daughter.
Salamatu said she could not believe that this abominable act was going on right under her nose for the past three years.
When she demanded answers from her husband, he called her a stupid woman.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?” he asked, threatening to beat her up if she shouted.
Salamatu says she raised an alarm, drawing people to the scene.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, District Crime Officer (DCO), DSP Bafour Appenteng said the affair between father and daughter started somewhere in 2006 when she was dressing after bathing.
Narrating the sequence of events, the DCO said it started when the grandmother of the victim observed that her pubic hair had not been shaved. She questioned the teenager who replied that she was scared the razor blade might harm her.
Her grandmother, thereafter, sent her to buy a razor blade so she could shave the hair off, but by the time she got back, her grandmother was asleep.
On reaching home, her father, who was then eavesdropping on the conversation, asked what she was going to use the razor blade for.
She explained what the grandmother had said.
Torgbor then insisted on shaving his daughter’s pubic hair, in spite of her resistance.
According to the victim, her father laid her on his matrimonial bed and shaved her pubic hair after which he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
No amount of pleading could stop Torgbor from carrying out his intentions, and he had sex with her on the blind side of his wife, Salamatu Piaga.
The girl emerged from the room in tears and because her legs were wobbling, her aunties, who lived in the same compound house, asked what was wrong and she revealed to them that her father had just had sex with her.
According to the police, the aunties explained that at the time of the incident, the family was bereaved and so they decided to meet on the matter after the burial of their kin but later forgot all about it, and even though Salamatu was informed about the incident, she chose not to pursue it.
When she quizzed her husband about the incident, he got mad and subjected the child to severe beatings, saying that she wanted to disgrace him.
Later, when the girl turned 17, she got pregnant and left to stay with her biological mother at Osu because her father was furious, claiming his daughter had a boyfriend and subjected her to severe beatings, even though she was pregnant for him at the time.
At Osu, she reported the incident to WAJU but her mother, who did not believe her claims, abandoned the case after receiving a police medical form.
When the teenager gave birth in April last year, her stepmother, Salamatu, went for her from the Ridge Hospital where she delivered a baby girl and brought her back to her father’s house with the intention of caring for her and the baby.
The Crime Officer said when the baby was nine months old, Torgbor, who was eager to re-ignite his sexual relationship with his biological daughter, forced her to stop breast-feeding the baby, which she did.
They continued with the affair until the dawn of Saturday August 15, 2009 when Salamatu grabbed the two seriously making love.
Subsequently, Salamatu packed her belongings out of the house but did not report the matter to the police until her husband was arrested on August 18, 2009, by the Odorkor police who invited her to write her statement.
The victim, who was cuddling her daughter when she spoke to DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, confirmed that the baby, an exact replica of Torgbor, was indeed her father’s daughter.
She told DAILYGUIDE she wishes her father would be kept in jail forever.

Ho, May 13, GNA - Daniel Gadzeti, a carpenter, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Ho circuit court on Tuesday for being in an incestuous relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Mabel Gadzeti, a seamstress apprentice.
Mr Frank Owusu Afriyie, the presiding judge, deferred sentence on Mabel Gadzeti until after medical tests for pregnancy and sex related diseases.
Mr Afriyie described the conduct of Gadzeti, a father of four, as "very irresponsible". Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Nkansah told the court that Gadzeti, who was staying at Nkonya-Ntumda, invited his daughter who was staying with her mother at Nkonya-Tayi to come over and stay with him. He said Gadzeti the n started having sexual intercourse with his daughter. Mr Nkansah said a friend of Gadzeti once visited him and saw him (Gadzeti) and his (Gadzeti's) daughter bathing together and asked him if he was having sexual relationship with her. He said Gadzeti took offence and reported the matter to the chief of Nkonya-Ntumda who summoned the friend before the traditional court which fined him to compensate Gadzeti because the friend had no evidence to support his case. About a year later Gadzeti confessed his incestuous relationship to his uncle, a catechist, and expressed his desire to perform customary rites to marry her and make her his second wife in addition to her mother.
He said Gadzeti's uncle informed the chief of the town and Gadzeti's wife and daughter were summoned before the chief and elders of the town. A fine was imposed on Gadzeti and his daughter which they paid. He said a few days later, information about their relationship got to the police leading to their arrest.Source:

Man Jailed For Impregnating Daughter
An Accra High Court has sentenced Mr Anthony Bleworda to five (5) years imprisonment for having sex with her daughter since she was 16 years old and fathering with her five children, three of whom have since died. Mr Bleworda admitted that he had a strong urge to sleep with his own 16-year-old daughter the first day he saw her after several year’s sojourn abroad.
The daughter, identified as Matilda Bleworda, who is now in her mid twenties, is reported to have later developed mental health problems. Speaking to Peace FM and the Domestic Violence And Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Matilda disclosed that she willingly gave in to his father’s sexual advances the first day she saw him because her father enticed her with lots of money, but the subsequent encounters were all against her will. An earlier medical report had revealed that Matilda had indeed developed mental problems. She however stressed to Peace FM in an interview that she has now been completely cured.
She added that she did not know in the beginning that Mr. Bleworda was her real father. She believed instead that her grandfather whom she had known since her infancy was. According to her she asked the father to stop sleeping with her but he refused, claiming she was married to him by virtue of their having children together.
In an interview with Peacefmonline, the spokesperson for DOVVSU, Inspector Irene Oppong confirmed that Mr Bleworda has been sentenced for 5 years imprisonment. In answer to querries about why the seemingly minimal nature of the punishment, Inspector Oppong said the court took into account the girl’s admission that she was 16 years old when her father first slept with her and also that she consented to the act for which reason he couldn’t be charged with rape.
She explained that the stipulated sentencing range for incest for which Mr. Bleworda was found guilty is between 3 to 25 years. She explained that it took the court this long to dispose of the case because the man was having health issues midway into his prosecution. Peace FM managed to secure a major scoop and broke the scandal to a horrified country in September of last year.

A 47-year-old farmer who fathered five children with his biological daughter is in the grips of the law.
Yao Hatekah impregnated his daughter, known as Baby, when she was 11 years old and subsequently had children aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half-old with her.
Hatekah, who pleaded guilty to the charge of incest on June 20, 2012, changed his plea to not guilty when he reappeared before the Sogakope Circuit Court Wednesday.
According to him, he had one child with his daughter and was not responsible for her other children.
The court, subsequently, remanded him to reappear on July 12, 2012.
Prosecuting, Inspector Emmanuel Atsor of the Sogakope Police told the court that Hatekah began having an affair with his daughter after his wife died.
His alleged incestuous act was brought to the attention of the police by the Chief of Gonu Ashiagborkorpe, near Dabala in the South Tongu District in the Volta Region, TorgbeSekpetey II.
It said the residents of the community had known of Hatekah’s incestuous act all these years but were afraid of him because of his threat to kill anybody who dared to criticise him.**

Man Fathers 9 Kids With Daughter, Pleads For Forgiveness

Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with daughter has pleaded with a Sogakope circuit court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.

He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakokpe Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.

Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest. According to the prosecutor, inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by a certain Torgbey Sekpetey II, chief of Ashagborkope, who is also a tax collector. The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka with whom he has nine kids. Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby and subsequently had eight other children with her. Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half old. During the interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight other children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two year old baby with his daughter.

The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter. He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area. Torgbey Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police. The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgement.**

A 40-year-old welder; Emmanuel Kwesi Yevu, who is accused of defiling his 13-year-old daughter blamed his action on “juju,” (magic) when he made his second appearance before a Circuit Court in Accra.
Yevu told the court that somebody had cast a spell on him because he was getting more customers in his carpentry business.
When the court asked why he defiled his daughter, Yevu said: “My Lord the thing came on me in a spiritual form. I sometimes dream that I am sleeping with my late wife. I took in some alcohol on the day in question before going to bed. I detected that my daughter had placed her legs on mine and I mistook her to be that of my late wife and I defiled her.”
This, according to Yevu, had had happened on two occasions. Yevu, who is charged with defilement and incest pleaded guilty. But just as the court was about to hand down Yevu’s sentence, his brother raised his hands saying he had sometime to say.
Yevu’s brother told the court that Yevu had confided in him that somebody had cast a spell on him and blamed his action on “juju.”
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa however sentenced Yevu to 10 years on each of the charges. The sentences would however run concurrently.
The court told Yevu that it only had power to deal with the charges brought against him adding: “You can pursue the juju case at the juju court.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah told the court that the complainant was the victim’s uncle.
Yevu is the father of the victim. Since the death of the victim’s mother, she had been living with the father at Omanjor in Accra. ASP Acquah said during October 2011, the victim was sleeping when Yevu forced her and had sex with her on two occasions.
After the acts, the victim informed her father that she had not menstruated for the past three months.
ASP Acquah said Yevu knowing very well that the victim was pregnant, gave the victim medicine to swallow and insert some of the medicine into her vagina.
Soon after inserting the medicine, the victim began to complain of abdominal pains and she was rushed to the hospital and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Odorkor Police station.
The victim was issued with a medical form while her father was arrested by the Police and during interrogation he admitted the offence.

Felix Torgbor, the 45-year-old mason who fathered a child with his own daughter.
A 45 year old mason has been arrested in Accra for forcibly having an affair with his daughter and subsequently, having a baby with her.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?”
These are the shocking words of Felix Torgbor, a 45-year-old mason from La, who was caught by his wife having sex with his 19-year-old daughter.
Apparently, Torgbor began having sex with his daughter when she was only 16 years old; broke her virginity and subsequently had a child with her. He is now in the grips of the Odorkor Police in Accra.
Torgbor’s three-year-old sexual affair finally came to an end when his wife caught him red-handed making love to his daughter in an uncompleted building on the dawn of Saturday August 15, at Russia, a suburb of Accra.
Salamatu, Torgbor’s wife, told DAILY GUIDE that she wakes up very early in the morning, goes to work and returns at 7:00pm.
On that fateful day, she returned from visiting her sister at about 10:00pm on Friday night. She called her husband to join her watch an African movie shown on TV, but he declined and kept moving up and down.
She then began wondering what was making her husband so jittery.
According to her, the TV station closed down around 12:00 midnight, so she went to bed.
At about 12:45am, she woke up to realize that her husband and daughter were not in bed so she went out in search of them.
Salamatu indicated that her husband is putting up a building which is just a distance from the family house where they live, so she had a strong urge to go there to search for them.
When she got there, she saw that her step-daughter had laid a piece of cloth on the floor of one of the rooms and she saw a man lying on top of her.
She yelled and held unto the man only to realize it was her husband who was moaning and groaning on top of his own daughter.
Salamatu said she could not believe that this abominable act was going on right under her nose for the past three years.
When she demanded answers from her husband, he called her a stupid woman.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?” he asked, threatening to beat her up if she shouted.
Salamatu says she raised an alarm, drawing people to the scene.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, District Crime Officer (DCO), DSP Bafour Appenteng said the affair between father and daughter started somewhere in 2006 when she was dressing after bathing.
Narrating the sequence of events, the DCO said it started when the grandmother of the victim observed that her pubic hair had not been shaved. She questioned the teenager who replied that she was scared the razor blade might harm her.
Her grandmother, thereafter, sent her to buy a razor blade so she could shave the hair off, but by the time she got back, her grandmother was asleep.
On reaching home, her father, who was then eavesdropping on the conversation, asked what she was going to use the razor blade for.
She explained what the grandmother had said.
Torgbor then insisted on shaving his daughter’s pubic hair, in spite of her resistance.
According to the victim, her father laid her on his matrimonial bed and shaved her pubic hair after which he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
No amount of pleading could stop Torgbor from carrying out his intentions, and he had sex with her on the blind side of his wife, Salamatu Piaga.
The girl emerged from the room in tears and because her legs were wobbling, her aunties, who lived in the same compound house, asked what was wrong and she revealed to them that her father had just had sex with her.
According to the police, the aunties explained that at the time of the incident, the family was bereaved and so they decided to meet on the matter after the burial of their kin but later forgot all about it, and even though Salamatu was informed about the incident, she chose not to pursue it.
When she quizzed her husband about the incident, he got mad and subjected the child to severe beatings, saying that she wanted to disgrace him.
Later, when the girl turned 17, she got pregnant and left to stay with her biological mother at Osu because her father was furious, claiming his daughter had a boyfriend and subjected her to severe beatings, even though she was pregnant for him at the time.
At Osu, she reported the incident to WAJU but her mother, who did not believe her claims, abandoned the case after receiving a police medical form.
When the teenager gave birth in April last year, her stepmother, Salamatu, went for her from the Ridge Hospital where she delivered a baby girl and brought her back to her father’s house with the intention of caring for her and the baby.
The Crime Officer said when the baby was nine months old, Torgbor, who was eager to re-ignite his sexual relationship with his biological daughter, forced her to stop breast-feeding the baby, which she did.
They continued with the affair until the dawn of Saturday August 15, 2009 when Salamatu grabbed the two seriously making love.
Subsequently, Salamatu packed her belongings out of the house but did not report the matter to the police until her husband was arrested on August 18, 2009, by the Odorkor police who invited her to write her statement.
The victim, who was cuddling her daughter when she spoke to DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, confirmed that the baby, an exact replica of Torgbor, was indeed her father’s daughter.
She told DAILYGUIDE she wishes her father would be kept in jail forever.

Ho, May 13, GNA - Daniel Gadzeti, a carpenter, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Ho circuit court on Tuesday for being in an incestuous relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Mabel Gadzeti, a seamstress apprentice.
Mr Frank Owusu Afriyie, the presiding judge, deferred sentence on Mabel Gadzeti until after medical tests for pregnancy and sex related diseases.
Mr Afriyie described the conduct of Gadzeti, a father of four, as "very irresponsible". Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Nkansah told the court that Gadzeti, who was staying at Nkonya-Ntumda, invited his daughter who was staying with her mother at Nkonya-Tayi to come over and stay with him. He said Gadzeti the n started having sexual intercourse with his daughter. Mr Nkansah said a friend of Gadzeti once visited him and saw him (Gadzeti) and his (Gadzeti's) daughter bathing together and asked him if he was having sexual relationship with her. He said Gadzeti took offence and reported the matter to the chief of Nkonya-Ntumda who summoned the friend before the traditional court which fined him to compensate Gadzeti because the friend had no evidence to support his case. About a year later Gadzeti confessed his incestuous relationship to his uncle, a catechist, and expressed his desire to perform customary rites to marry her and make her his second wife in addition to her mother.
He said Gadzeti's uncle informed the chief of the town and Gadzeti's wife and daughter were summoned before the chief and elders of the town. A fine was imposed on Gadzeti and his daughter which they paid. He said a few days later, information about their relationship got to the police leading to their arrest.Source:

Man Jailed For Impregnating Daughter
An Accra High Court has sentenced Mr Anthony Bleworda to five (5) years imprisonment for having sex with her daughter since she was 16 years old and fathering with her five children, three of whom have since died. Mr Bleworda admitted that he had a strong urge to sleep with his own 16-year-old daughter the first day he saw her after several year’s sojourn abroad.
The daughter, identified as Matilda Bleworda, who is now in her mid twenties, is reported to have later developed mental health problems. Speaking to Peace FM and the Domestic Violence And Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Matilda disclosed that she willingly gave in to his father’s sexual advances the first day she saw him because her father enticed her with lots of money, but the subsequent encounters were all against her will. An earlier medical report had revealed that Matilda had indeed developed mental problems. She however stressed to Peace FM in an interview that she has now been completely cured.
She added that she did not know in the beginning that Mr. Bleworda was her real father. She believed instead that her grandfather whom she had known since her infancy was. According to her she asked the father to stop sleeping with her but he refused, claiming she was married to him by virtue of their having children together.
In an interview with Peacefmonline, the spokesperson for DOVVSU, Inspector Irene Oppong confirmed that Mr Bleworda has been sentenced for 5 years imprisonment. In answer to querries about why the seemingly minimal nature of the punishment, Inspector Oppong said the court took into account the girl’s admission that she was 16 years old when her father first slept with her and also that she consented to the act for which reason he couldn’t be charged with rape.
She explained that the stipulated sentencing range for incest for which Mr. Bleworda was found guilty is between 3 to 25 years. She explained that it took the court this long to dispose of the case because the man was having health issues midway into his prosecution. Peace FM managed to secure a major scoop and broke the scandal to a horrified country in September of last year.

40-year-old welder; Emmanuel Kwesi Yevu, who is accused of defiling his 13-year-old daughter blamed his action on “juju,” (magic) when he made his second appearance before a Circuit Court in Accra.
Yevu told the court that somebody had cast a spell on him because he was getting more customers in his carpentry business.
When the court asked why he defiled his daughter, Yevu said: “My Lord the thing came on me in a spiritual form. I sometimes dream that I am sleeping with my late wife. I took in some alcohol on the day in question before going to bed. I detected that my daughter had placed her legs on mine and I mistook her to be that of my late wife and I defiled her.”
This, according to Yevu, had had happened on two occasions. Yevu, who is charged with defilement and incest pleaded guilty. But just as the court was about to hand down Yevu’s sentence, his brother raised his hands saying he had sometime to say.
Yevu’s brother told the court that Yevu had confided in him that somebody had cast a spell on him and blamed his action on “juju.”
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa however sentenced Yevu to 10 years on each of the charges. The sentences would however run concurrently.
The court told Yevu that it only had power to deal with the charges brought against him adding: “You can pursue the juju case at the juju court.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah told the court that the complainant was the victim’s uncle.
Yevu is the father of the victim. Since the death of the victim’s mother, she had been living with the father at Omanjor in Accra. ASP Acquah said during October 2011, the victim was sleeping when Yevu forced her and had sex with her on two occasions.
After the acts, the victim informed her father that she had not menstruated for the past three months.
ASP Acquah said Yevu knowing very well that the victim was pregnant, gave the victim medicine to swallow and insert some of the medicine into her vagina.
Soon after inserting the medicine, the victim began to complain of abdominal pains and she was rushed to the hospital and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Odorkor Police station.
The victim was issued with a medical form while her father was arrested by the Police and during interrogation he admitted the offence.

A 47-year-old farmer who fathered five children with his biological daughter is in the grips of the law.
Yao Hatekah impregnated his daughter, known as Baby, when she was 11 years old and subsequently had children aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half-old with her.
Hatekah, who pleaded guilty to the charge of incest on June 20, 2012, changed his plea to not guilty when he reappeared before the Sogakope Circuit Court Wednesday.
According to him, he had one child with his daughter and was not responsible for her other children.
The court, subsequently, remanded him to reappear on July 12, 2012.
Prosecuting, Inspector Emmanuel Atsor of the Sogakope Police told the court that Hatekah began having an affair with his daughter after his wife died.
His alleged incestuous act was brought to the attention of the police by the Chief of Gonu Ashiagborkorpe, near Dabala in the South Tongu District in the Volta Region, TorgbeSekpetey II.
It said the residents of the community had known of Hatekah’s incestuous act all these years but were afraid of him because of his threat to kill anybody who dared to criticise him.**

Man Fathers 9 Kids With Daughter, Pleads For Forgiveness

Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with daughter has pleaded with a Sogakope circuit court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.

He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakokpe Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.

Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest. According to the prosecutor, inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by a certain Torgbey Sekpetey II, chief of Ashagborkope, who is also a tax collector. The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka with whom he has nine kids. Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby and subsequently had eight other children with her. Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half old. During the interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight other children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two year old baby with his daughter.

The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter. He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area. Torgbey Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police. The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgement.**

Felix Torgbor, the 45-year-old mason who fathered a child with his own daughter.
A 45 year old mason has been arrested in Accra for forcibly having an affair with his daughter and subsequently, having a baby with her.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?”
These are the shocking words of Felix Torgbor, a 45-year-old mason from La, who was caught by his wife having sex with his 19-year-old daughter.
Apparently, Torgbor began having sex with his daughter when she was only 16 years old; broke her virginity and subsequently had a child with her. He is now in the grips of the Odorkor Police in Accra.
Torgbor’s three-year-old sexual affair finally came to an end when his wife caught him red-handed making love to his daughter in an uncompleted building on the dawn of Saturday August 15, at Russia, a suburb of Accra.
Salamatu, Torgbor’s wife, told DAILY GUIDE that she wakes up very early in the morning, goes to work and returns at 7:00pm.
On that fateful day, she returned from visiting her sister at about 10:00pm on Friday night. She called her husband to join her watch an African movie shown on TV, but he declined and kept moving up and down.
She then began wondering what was making her husband so jittery.
According to her, the TV station closed down around 12:00 midnight, so she went to bed.
At about 12:45am, she woke up to realize that her husband and daughter were not in bed so she went out in search of them.
Salamatu indicated that her husband is putting up a building which is just a distance from the family house where they live, so she had a strong urge to go there to search for them.
When she got there, she saw that her step-daughter had laid a piece of cloth on the floor of one of the rooms and she saw a man lying on top of her.
She yelled and held unto the man only to realize it was her husband who was moaning and groaning on top of his own daughter.
Salamatu said she could not believe that this abominable act was going on right under her nose for the past three years.
When she demanded answers from her husband, he called her a stupid woman.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?” he asked, threatening to beat her up if she shouted.
Salamatu says she raised an alarm, drawing people to the scene.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, District Crime Officer (DCO), DSP Bafour Appenteng said the affair between father and daughter started somewhere in 2006 when she was dressing after bathing.
Narrating the sequence of events, the DCO said it started when the grandmother of the victim observed that her pubic hair had not been shaved. She questioned the teenager who replied that she was scared the razor blade might harm her.
Her grandmother, thereafter, sent her to buy a razor blade so she could shave the hair off, but by the time she got back, her grandmother was asleep.
On reaching home, her father, who was then eavesdropping on the conversation, asked what she was going to use the razor blade for.
She explained what the grandmother had said.
Torgbor then insisted on shaving his daughter’s pubic hair, in spite of her resistance.
According to the victim, her father laid her on his matrimonial bed and shaved her pubic hair after which he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
No amount of pleading could stop Torgbor from carrying out his intentions, and he had sex with her on the blind side of his wife, Salamatu Piaga.
The girl emerged from the room in tears and because her legs were wobbling, her aunties, who lived in the same compound house, asked what was wrong and she revealed to them that her father had just had sex with her.
According to the police, the aunties explained that at the time of the incident, the family was bereaved and so they decided to meet on the matter after the burial of their kin but later forgot all about it, and even though Salamatu was informed about the incident, she chose not to pursue it.
When she quizzed her husband about the incident, he got mad and subjected the child to severe beatings, saying that she wanted to disgrace him.
Later, when the girl turned 17, she got pregnant and left to stay with her biological mother at Osu because her father was furious, claiming his daughter had a boyfriend and subjected her to severe beatings, even though she was pregnant for him at the time.
At Osu, she reported the incident to WAJU but her mother, who did not believe her claims, abandoned the case after receiving a police medical form.
When the teenager gave birth in April last year, her stepmother, Salamatu, went for her from the Ridge Hospital where she delivered a baby girl and brought her back to her father’s house with the intention of caring for her and the baby.
The Crime Officer said when the baby was nine months old, Torgbor, who was eager to re-ignite his sexual relationship with his biological daughter, forced her to stop breast-feeding the baby, which she did.
They continued with the affair until the dawn of Saturday August 15, 2009 when Salamatu grabbed the two seriously making love.
Subsequently, Salamatu packed her belongings out of the house but did not report the matter to the police until her husband was arrested on August 18, 2009, by the Odorkor police who invited her to write her statement.
The victim, who was cuddling her daughter when she spoke to DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, confirmed that the baby, an exact replica of Torgbor, was indeed her father’s daughter.
She told DAILYGUIDE she wishes her father would be kept in jail forever.

Ho, May 13, GNA - Daniel Gadzeti, a carpenter, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Ho circuit court on Tuesday for being in an incestuous relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Mabel Gadzeti, a seamstress apprentice.
Mr Frank Owusu Afriyie, the presiding judge, deferred sentence on Mabel Gadzeti until after medical tests for pregnancy and sex related diseases.
Mr Afriyie described the conduct of Gadzeti, a father of four, as "very irresponsible". Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Nkansah told the court that Gadzeti, who was staying at Nkonya-Ntumda, invited his daughter who was staying with her mother at Nkonya-Tayi to come over and stay with him. He said Gadzeti the n started having sexual intercourse with his daughter. Mr Nkansah said a friend of Gadzeti once visited him and saw him (Gadzeti) and his (Gadzeti's) daughter bathing together and asked him if he was having sexual relationship with her. He said Gadzeti took offence and reported the matter to the chief of Nkonya-Ntumda who summoned the friend before the traditional court which fined him to compensate Gadzeti because the friend had no evidence to support his case. About a year later Gadzeti confessed his incestuous relationship to his uncle, a catechist, and expressed his desire to perform customary rites to marry her and make her his second wife in addition to her mother.
He said Gadzeti's uncle informed the chief of the town and Gadzeti's wife and daughter were summoned before the chief and elders of the town. A fine was imposed on Gadzeti and his daughter which they paid. He said a few days later, information about their relationship got to the police leading to their arrest.Source:

Man Jailed For Impregnating Daughter
An Accra High Court has sentenced Mr Anthony Bleworda to five (5) years imprisonment for having sex with her daughter since she was 16 years old and fathering with her five children, three of whom have since died. Mr Bleworda admitted that he had a strong urge to sleep with his own 16-year-old daughter the first day he saw her after several year’s sojourn abroad.
The daughter, identified as Matilda Bleworda, who is now in her mid twenties, is reported to have later developed mental health problems. Speaking to Peace FM and the Domestic Violence And Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Matilda disclosed that she willingly gave in to his father’s sexual advances the first day she saw him because her father enticed her with lots of money, but the subsequent encounters were all against her will. An earlier medical report had revealed that Matilda had indeed developed mental problems. She however stressed to Peace FM in an interview that she has now been completely cured.
She added that she did not know in the beginning that Mr. Bleworda was her real father. She believed instead that her grandfather whom she had known since her infancy was. According to her she asked the father to stop sleeping with her but he refused, claiming she was married to him by virtue of their having children together.

I took in some alcohol on the day in question before going to bed. I detected that my daughter had placed her legs on mine and I mistook her to be that of my late wife and I defiled her.”
This, according to Yevu, had had happened on two occasions. Yevu, who is charged with defilement and incest pleaded guilty. But just as the court was about to hand down Yevu’s sentence, his brother raised his hands saying he had sometime to say.
Yevu’s brother told the court that Yevu had confided in him that somebody had cast a spell on him and blamed his action on “juju.”
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa however sentenced Yevu to 10 years on each of the charges. The sentences would however run concurrently.
The court told Yevu that it only had power to deal with the charges brought against him adding: “You can pursue the juju case at the juju court.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah told the court that the complainant was the victim’s uncle.
Yevu is the father of the victim. Since the death of the victim’s mother, she had been living with the father at Omanjor in Accra. ASP Acquah said during October 2011, the victim was sleeping when Yevu forced her and had sex with her on two occasions.
After the acts, the victim informed her father that she had not menstruated for the past three months.
ASP Acquah said Yevu knowing very well that the victim was pregnant, gave the victim medicine to swallow and insert some of the medicine into her vagina.
Soon after inserting the medicine, the victim began to complain of abdominal pains and she was rushed to the hospital and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Odorkor Police station.

A 47-year-old farmer who fathered five children with his biological daughter is in the grips of the law.
Yao Hatekah impregnated his daughter, known as Baby, when she was 11 years old and subsequently had children aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half-old with her.
Hatekah, who pleaded guilty to the charge of incest on June 20, 2012, changed his plea to not guilty when he reappeared before the Sogakope Circuit Court Wednesday.
According to him, he had one child with his daughter and was not responsible for her other children.
The court, subsequently, remanded him to reappear on July 12, 2012.
Prosecuting, Inspector Emmanuel Atsor of the Sogakope Police told the court that Hatekah began having an affair with his daughter after his wife died.
His alleged incestuous act was brought to the attention of the police by the Chief of Gonu Ashiagborkorpe, near Dabala in the South Tongu District in the Volta Region, TorgbeSekpetey II.
It said the residents of the community had known of Hatekah’s incestuous act all these years but were afraid of him because of his threat to kill anybody who dared to criticise him.**

Man Fathers 9 Kids With Daughter, Pleads For Forgiveness

Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with daughter has pleaded with a Sogakope circuit court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.

He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakokpe Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.

Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest. According to the prosecutor, inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by a certain Torgbey Sekpetey II, chief of Ashagborkope, who is also a tax collector. The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka with whom he has nine kids. Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby and subsequently had eight other children with her. Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half old. During the interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight other children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two year old baby with his daughter.

The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter. He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area. Torgbey Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police. The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgement.**

Felix Torgbor, the 45-year-old mason who fathered a child with his own daughter.
A 45 year old mason has been arrested in Accra for forcibly having an affair with his daughter and subsequently, having a baby with her.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?”
These are the shocking words of Felix Torgbor, a 45-year-old mason from La, who was caught by his wife having sex with his 19-year-old daughter.
Apparently, Torgbor began having sex with his daughter when she was only 16 years old; broke her virginity and subsequently had a child with her. He is now in the grips of the Odorkor Police in Accra.
Torgbor’s three-year-old sexual affair finally came to an end when his wife caught him red-handed making love to his daughter in an uncompleted building on the dawn of Saturday August 15, at Russia, a suburb of Accra.
Salamatu, Torgbor’s wife, told DAILY GUIDE that she wakes up very early in the morning, goes to work and returns at 7:00pm.
On that fateful day, she returned from visiting her sister at about 10:00pm on Friday night. She called her husband to join her watch an African movie shown on TV, but he declined and kept moving up and down.
She then began wondering what was making her husband so jittery.
According to her, the TV station closed down around 12:00 midnight, so she went to bed.
At about 12:45am, she woke up to realize that her husband and daughter were not in bed so she went out in search of them.
Salamatu indicated that her husband is putting up a building which is just a distance from the family house where they live, so she had a strong urge to go there to search for them.
When she got there, she saw that her step-daughter had laid a piece of cloth on the floor of one of the rooms and she saw a man lying on top of her.
She yelled and held unto the man only to realize it was her husband who was moaning and groaning on top of his own daughter.
Salamatu said she could not believe that this abominable act was going on right under her nose for the past three years.
When she demanded answers from her husband, he called her a stupid woman.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?” he asked, threatening to beat her up if she shouted.
Salamatu says she raised an alarm, drawing people to the scene.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, District Crime Officer (DCO), DSP Bafour Appenteng said the affair between father and daughter started somewhere in 2006 when she was dressing after bathing.
Narrating the sequence of events, the DCO said it started when the grandmother of the victim observed that her pubic hair had not been shaved. She questioned the teenager who replied that she was scared the razor blade might harm her.
Her grandmother, thereafter, sent her to buy a razor blade so she could shave the hair off, but by the time she got back, her grandmother was asleep.
On reaching home, her father, who was then eavesdropping on the conversation, asked what she was going to use the razor blade for.
She explained what the grandmother had said.
Torgbor then insisted on shaving his daughter’s pubic hair, in spite of her resistance.
According to the victim, her father laid her on his matrimonial bed and shaved her pubic hair after which he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
No amount of pleading could stop Torgbor from carrying out his intentions, and he had sex with her on the blind side of his wife, Salamatu Piaga.
The girl emerged from the room in tears and because her legs were wobbling, her aunties, who lived in the same compound house, asked what was wrong and she revealed to them that her father had just had sex with her.
According to the police, the aunties explained that at the time of the incident, the family was bereaved and so they decided to meet on the matter after the burial of their kin but later forgot all about it, and even though Salamatu was informed about the incident, she chose not to pursue it.
When she quizzed her husband about the incident, he got mad and subjected the child to severe beatings, saying that she wanted to disgrace him.
Later, when the girl turned 17, she got pregnant and left to stay with her biological mother at Osu because her father was furious, claiming his daughter had a boyfriend and subjected her to severe beatings, even though she was pregnant for him at the time.
At Osu, she reported the incident to WAJU but her mother, who did not believe her claims, abandoned the case after receiving a police medical form.
When the teenager gave birth in April last year, her stepmother, Salamatu, went for her from the Ridge Hospital where she delivered a baby girl and brought her back to her father’s house with the intention of caring for her and the baby.
The Crime Officer said when the baby was nine months old, Torgbor, who was eager to re-ignite his sexual relationship with his biological daughter, forced her to stop breast-feeding the baby, which she did.
They continued with the affair until the dawn of Saturday August 15, 2009 when Salamatu grabbed the two seriously making love.
Subsequently, Salamatu packed her belongings out of the house but did not report the matter to the police until her husband was arrested on August 18, 2009, by the Odorkor police who invited her to write her statement.
The victim, who was cuddling her daughter when she spoke to DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, confirmed that the baby, an exact replica of Torgbor, was indeed her father’s daughter.
She told DAILYGUIDE she wishes her father would be kept in jail forever.

Ho, May 13, GNA - Daniel Gadzeti, a carpenter, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Ho circuit court on Tuesday for being in an incestuous relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Mabel Gadzeti, a seamstress apprentice.
Mr Frank Owusu Afriyie, the presiding judge, deferred sentence on Mabel Gadzeti until after medical tests for pregnancy and sex related diseases.
Mr Afriyie described the conduct of Gadzeti, a father of four, as "very irresponsible". Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Nkansah told the court that Gadzeti, who was staying at Nkonya-Ntumda, invited his daughter who was staying with her mother at Nkonya-Tayi to come over and stay with him. He said Gadzeti the n started having sexual intercourse with his daughter. Mr Nkansah said a friend of Gadzeti once visited him and saw him (Gadzeti) and his (Gadzeti's) daughter bathing together and asked him if he was having sexual relationship with her. He said Gadzeti took offence and reported the matter to the chief of Nkonya-Ntumda who summoned the friend before the traditional court which fined him to compensate Gadzeti because the friend had no evidence to support his case. About a year later Gadzeti confessed his incestuous relationship to his uncle, a catechist, and expressed his desire to perform customary rites to marry her and make her his second wife in addition to her mother.
He said Gadzeti's uncle informed the chief of the town and Gadzeti's wife and daughter were summoned before the chief and elders of the town. A fine was imposed on Gadzeti and his daughter which they paid. He said a few days later, information about their relationship got to the police leading to their arrest.Source:

Man Jailed For Impregnating Daughter
An Accra High Court has sentenced Mr Anthony Bleworda to five (5) years imprisonment for having sex with her daughter since she was 16 years old and fathering with her five children, three of whom have since died. Mr Bleworda admitted that he had a strong urge to sleep with his own 16-year-old daughter the first day he saw her after several year’s sojourn abroad.
The daughter, identified as Matilda Bleworda, who is now in her mid twenties, is reported to have later developed mental health problems. Speaking to Peace FM and the Domestic Violence And Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Matilda disclosed that she willingly gave in to his father’s sexual advances the first day she saw him because her father enticed her with lots of money, but the subsequent encounters were all against her will. An earlier medical report had revealed that Matilda had indeed developed mental problems. She however stressed to Peace FM in an interview that she has now been completely cured.
She added that she did not know in the beginning that Mr. Bleworda was her real father. She believed instead that her grandfather whom she had known since her infancy was. According to her she asked the father to stop sleeping with her but he refused, claiming she was married to him by virtue of their having children together.
In an interview with Peacefmonline, the spokesperson for DOVVSU, Inspector Irene Oppong confirmed that Mr Bleworda has been sentenced for 5 years imprisonment. In answer to querries about why the seemingly minimal nature of the punishment, Inspector Oppong said the court took into account the girl’s admission that she was 16 years old when her father first slept with her and also that she consented to the act for which reason he couldn’t be charged with rape.
She explained that the stipulated sentencing range for incest for which Mr. Bleworda was found guilty is between 3 to 25 years. She explained that it took the court this long to dispose of the case because the man was having health issues midway into his prosecution. Peace FM managed to secure a major scoop and broke the scandal to a horrified country in September of last year.

Man Fathers 9 Kids With Daughter, Pleads For Forgiveness

Agbofa Yao Hateka, the 47-year-old fetish priest who fathered nine kids with daughter has pleaded with a Sogakope circuit court to forgive him his sins as he would not do it again.

He has so far made two appearances in the Sogakokpe Circuit Court for having nine children with his daughter, four of whom were dead.

Agbofa Yao Hateka was in the Sogakope court on 12th and 13th July charged with incest. According to the prosecutor, inspector Emmanuel Atsor, the case was reported to the Dabala Police by a certain Torgbey Sekpetey II, chief of Ashagborkope, who is also a tax collector. The complainant told the police on June 7th 2012 that the accused was married to his biological daughter, Baby Hateka with whom he has nine kids. Yao Hateka allegedly impregnated Baby and subsequently had eight other children with her. Out of the lot, there were now five kids aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half old. During the interrogation however, Baby Hateka told the police she had eight other children with her father out of which three died, contradicting the accused person’s narration that he had only a two year old baby with his daughter.

The accused would not allow anybody to intervene as he allegedly threatened people with death if they meddled in his sexual relationship with his daughter. He allegedly threatened to invoke the spirit of his gods to deal with meddlers. The accused told the court that he was both a farmer and a fisherman, although the prosecution witness claimed he was unemployed. Before his arrest, the accused told the police that his daughter suffered from sickle cell anaemia, and had come to stay with him from a cocoa-growing area. Torgbey Sekpetey II had earlier fined the accused a fowl so his daughter could be cleansed before reporting the matter to the police. The case has been adjourned to 20th July 2012 for judgement.**

A 40-year-old welder; Emmanuel Kwesi Yevu, who is accused of defiling his 13-year-old daughter blamed his action on “juju,” (magic) when he made his second appearance before a Circuit Court in Accra.
Yevu told the court that somebody had cast a spell on him because he was getting more customers in his carpentry business.
When the court asked why he defiled his daughter, Yevu said: “My Lord the thing came on me in a spiritual form. I sometimes dream that I am sleeping with my late wife. I took in some alcohol on the day in question before going to bed. I detected that my daughter had placed her legs on mine and I mistook her to be that of my late wife and I defiled her.”
This, according to Yevu, had had happened on two occasions. Yevu, who is charged with defilement and incest pleaded guilty. But just as the court was about to hand down Yevu’s sentence, his brother raised his hands saying he had sometime to say.
Yevu’s brother told the court that Yevu had confided in him that somebody had cast a spell on him and blamed his action on “juju.”
The court presided over by Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa however sentenced Yevu to 10 years on each of the charges. The sentences would however run concurrently.
The court told Yevu that it only had power to deal with the charges brought against him adding: “You can pursue the juju case at the juju court.” Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sarah Acquah told the court that the complainant was the victim’s uncle.
Yevu is the father of the victim. Since the death of the victim’s mother, she had been living with the father at Omanjor in Accra. ASP Acquah said during October 2011, the victim was sleeping when Yevu forced her and had sex with her on two occasions.
After the acts, the victim informed her father that she had not menstruated for the past three months.
ASP Acquah said Yevu knowing very well that the victim was pregnant, gave the victim medicine to swallow and insert some of the medicine into her vagina.
Soon after inserting the medicine, the victim began to complain of abdominal pains and she was rushed to the hospital and a report was made to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Odorkor Police station.
The victim was issued with a medical form while her father was arrested by the Police and during interrogation he admitted the offence.

Felix Torgbor, the 45-year-old mason who fathered a child with his own daughter.
A 45 year old mason has been arrested in Accra for forcibly having an affair with his daughter and subsequently, having a baby with her.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?”
These are the shocking words of Felix Torgbor, a 45-year-old mason from La, who was caught by his wife having sex with his 19-year-old daughter.
Apparently, Torgbor began having sex with his daughter when she was only 16 years old; broke her virginity and subsequently had a child with her. He is now in the grips of the Odorkor Police in Accra.
Torgbor’s three-year-old sexual affair finally came to an end when his wife caught him red-handed making love to his daughter in an uncompleted building on the dawn of Saturday August 15, at Russia, a suburb of Accra.
Salamatu, Torgbor’s wife, told DAILY GUIDE that she wakes up very early in the morning, goes to work and returns at 7:00pm.
On that fateful day, she returned from visiting her sister at about 10:00pm on Friday night. She called her husband to join her watch an African movie shown on TV, but he declined and kept moving up and down.
She then began wondering what was making her husband so jittery.
According to her, the TV station closed down around 12:00 midnight, so she went to bed.
At about 12:45am, she woke up to realize that her husband and daughter were not in bed so she went out in search of them.
Salamatu indicated that her husband is putting up a building which is just a distance from the family house where they live, so she had a strong urge to go there to search for them.
When she got there, she saw that her step-daughter had laid a piece of cloth on the floor of one of the rooms and she saw a man lying on top of her.
She yelled and held unto the man only to realize it was her husband who was moaning and groaning on top of his own daughter.
Salamatu said she could not believe that this abominable act was going on right under her nose for the past three years.
When she demanded answers from her husband, he called her a stupid woman.
“You are very stupid! Which is better? Sleeping with my daughter or running after other women who could infect me with strange diseases which I could also pass on to you?” he asked, threatening to beat her up if she shouted.
Salamatu says she raised an alarm, drawing people to the scene.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, District Crime Officer (DCO), DSP Bafour Appenteng said the affair between father and daughter started somewhere in 2006 when she was dressing after bathing.
Narrating the sequence of events, the DCO said it started when the grandmother of the victim observed that her pubic hair had not been shaved. She questioned the teenager who replied that she was scared the razor blade might harm her.
Her grandmother, thereafter, sent her to buy a razor blade so she could shave the hair off, but by the time she got back, her grandmother was asleep.
On reaching home, her father, who was then eavesdropping on the conversation, asked what she was going to use the razor blade for.
She explained what the grandmother had said.
Torgbor then insisted on shaving his daughter’s pubic hair, in spite of her resistance.
According to the victim, her father laid her on his matrimonial bed and shaved her pubic hair after which he forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
No amount of pleading could stop Torgbor from carrying out his intentions, and he had sex with her on the blind side of his wife, Salamatu Piaga.
The girl emerged from the room in tears and because her legs were wobbling, her aunties, who lived in the same compound house, asked what was wrong and she revealed to them that her father had just had sex with her.
According to the police, the aunties explained that at the time of the incident, the family was bereaved and so they decided to meet on the matter after the burial of their kin but later forgot all about it, and even though Salamatu was informed about the incident, she chose not to pursue it.
When she quizzed her husband about the incident, he got mad and subjected the child to severe beatings, saying that she wanted to disgrace him.
Later, when the girl turned 17, she got pregnant and left to stay with her biological mother at Osu because her father was furious, claiming his daughter had a boyfriend and subjected her to severe beatings, even though she was pregnant for him at the time.
At Osu, she reported the incident to WAJU but her mother, who did not believe her claims, abandoned the case after receiving a police medical form.
When the teenager gave birth in April last year, her stepmother, Salamatu, went for her from the Ridge Hospital where she delivered a baby girl and brought her back to her father’s house with the intention of caring for her and the baby.
The Crime Officer said when the baby was nine months old, Torgbor, who was eager to re-ignite his sexual relationship with his biological daughter, forced her to stop breast-feeding the baby, which she did.
They continued with the affair until the dawn of Saturday August 15, 2009 when Salamatu grabbed the two seriously making love.
Subsequently, Salamatu packed her belongings out of the house but did not report the matter to the police until her husband was arrested on August 18, 2009, by the Odorkor police who invited her to write her statement.
The victim, who was cuddling her daughter when she spoke to DAILY GUIDE on Thursday, confirmed that the baby, an exact replica of Torgbor, was indeed her father’s daughter.
She told DAILYGUIDE she wishes her father would be kept in jail forever.

Ho, May 13, GNA - Daniel Gadzeti, a carpenter, was sentenced to five years imprisonment by a Ho circuit court on Tuesday for being in an incestuous relationship with his 19-year-old daughter Mabel Gadzeti, a seamstress apprentice.
Mr Frank Owusu Afriyie, the presiding judge, deferred sentence on Mabel Gadzeti until after medical tests for pregnancy and sex related diseases.
Mr Afriyie described the conduct of Gadzeti, a father of four, as "very irresponsible". Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwadwo Nkansah told the court that Gadzeti, who was staying at Nkonya-Ntumda, invited his daughter who was staying with her mother at Nkonya-Tayi to come over and stay with him. He said Gadzeti the n started having sexual intercourse with his daughter. Mr Nkansah said a friend of Gadzeti once visited him and saw him (Gadzeti) and his (Gadzeti's) daughter bathing together and asked him if he was having sexual relationship with her. He said Gadzeti took offence and reported the matter to the chief of Nkonya-Ntumda who summoned the friend before the traditional court which fined him to compensate Gadzeti because the friend had no evidence to support his case. About a year later Gadzeti confessed his incestuous relationship to his uncle, a catechist, and expressed his desire to perform customary rites to marry her and make her his second wife in addition to her mother.
He said Gadzeti's uncle informed the chief of the town and Gadzeti's wife and daughter were summoned before the chief and elders of the town. A fine was imposed on Gadzeti and his daughter which they paid. He said a few days later, information about their relationship got to the police leading to their arrest.Source:

Man Jailed For Impregnating Daughter
An Accra High Court has sentenced Mr Anthony Bleworda to five (5) years imprisonment for having sex with her daughter since she was 16 years old and fathering with her five children, three of whom have since died. Mr Bleworda admitted that he had a strong urge to sleep with his own 16-year-old daughter the first day he saw her after several year’s sojourn abroad.
The daughter, identified as Matilda Bleworda, who is now in her mid twenties, is reported to have later developed mental health problems. Speaking to Peace FM and the Domestic Violence And Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), Matilda disclosed that she willingly gave in to his father’s sexual advances the first day she saw him because her father enticed her with lots of money, but the subsequent encounters were all against her will. An earlier medical report had revealed that Matilda had indeed developed mental problems. She however stressed to Peace FM in an interview that she has now been completely cured.
She added that she did not know in the beginning that Mr. Bleworda was her real father. She believed instead that her grandfather whom she had known since her infancy was. According to her she asked the father to stop sleeping with her but he refused, claiming she was married to him by virtue of their having children together.
In an interview with Peacefmonline, the spokesperson for DOVVSU, Inspector Irene Oppong confirmed that Mr Bleworda has been sentenced for 5 years imprisonment. In answer to querries about why the seemingly minimal nature of the punishment, Inspector Oppong said the court took into account the girl’s admission that she was 16 years old when her father first slept with her and also that she consented to the act for which reason he couldn’t be charged with rape.
She explained that the stipulated sentencing range for incest for which Mr. Bleworda was found guilty is between 3 to 25 years. She explained that it took the court this long to dispose of the case because the man was having health issues midway into his prosecution. Peace FM managed to secure a major scoop and broke the scandal to a horrified country in September of last year.

Yao Hatekah impregnated his daughter, known as Baby, when she was 11 years old and subsequently had children aged 14, 12, 3, 2 and a month-and-a-half-old with her.
Hatekah, who pleaded guilty to the charge of incest on June 20, 2012, changed his plea to not guilty when he reappeared before the Sogakope Circuit Court Wednesday.
According to him, he had one child with his daughter and was not responsible for her other children.
The court, subsequently, remanded him to reappear on July 12, 2012.
Prosecuting, Inspector Emmanuel Atsor of the Sogakope Police told the court that Hatekah began having an affair with his daughter after his wife died.
His alleged incestuous act was brought to the attention of the police by the Chief of Gonu Ashiagborkorpe, near Dabala in the South Tongu District in the Volta Region, TorgbeSekpetey II.
It said the residents of the community had known of Hatekah’s incestuous act all these years but were afraid of him because of his threat to kill anybody who dared to criticise him.**

Kumasi (Ashanti Region) 05 June 2003 - A Kumasi circuit court has remanded Kofi Bediako, a clerk at the Ashanti secretariat of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), for incest resulting in the pregnancy of his 15-year-old daughter.

He pleaded not guilty to defilement and refusing to accept parental responsibility for a two-month-old baby boy delivered by his daughter.

He would re-appear on June 10. Chief Inspector Margaret Damalie told the court that in August last year the victim, who was attending school at Effiduase in the Sekyere East District, was sent home to collect school fees from her father.

Chief Inspector Damalie said Bediako lured her daughter into his room, sexually abused her and warned her not to tell anybody about it. The accused later convinced the victim to move from Effiduase to live in his apartment at Akorem in Kumasi where he continued flirting with the girl until she became pregnant.

The prosecution said the accused took her to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where a pregnancy test showed positive. At the Hospital he lied to the medical staff that the victim was gang-raped and that the culprits had fled.

She said the victim's mother pleaded with the girl to mention who was responsible for the pregnancy but she refused until after delivery when she told her it was the father.

Chief Inspector Damalie said when Bediako was confronted he offered to pay ¢8m compensation to the victim and to show how serious he was he made a down payment of ¢4m. The court ordered that the four million cedis should be used to carry out a DNA test on the baby to determine its paternity.

Ashante ‘Sex Beast’ Jailed 55yrs

Eric Adjei Bawuah, the 28-year-old gym instructor who publicly raped a 19-year-old apprentice seamstress in a wild marathon sex, was yesterday sentenced to 55 years’ imprisonment in hard labour by a Kumasi Circuit Court.
The court, sitting at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and presided over by Adjei Frimpong, who referred to Bawuah as a beast, convicted the Accra-based stoutly-built gym instructor, and a former Mr. Ghana contestant, on two counts of rape and robbery.

Ejisu-Juaben Chief charged with rape

The Ejisu-Juaben Police Command has forwarded a case docket to the Attorney General's Department to advise whether to prosecute a chief who allegedly conned a 17 -year old girl to have sex with her under the pretext of giving her money.

Nana Baah Acheamfour, the Nkwantananhene of the Juaben Traditional Area, allegedly promised the girl some money to have sex with her but after the act the chief declined to honour his promise.

Briefing the The Spectator, the Ejisu-Juaben Police commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Stephen Awuah-Baffour, said the police had preferred a charge of rape against the chief but the advice as to prosecute would be decided by the Attorney General's Department.

According to the police commander, the chief, on February 12, this year met the girl who was on her way to sell oranges, in the market and offered her a lift in his car.

It was at that juncture that the chief allegedly negotiated with the girl.

However, a week after the game the chief was alleged to have been "tossing" the girl who became offended and informed her father who reported the case to the police.

Nana Acheamfour, the police commander said, was invited to give his statement and later he was granted bail. It was, however, quite interesting when this paper contacted the chief. He told this paper that he did not have sex with the girl.

He said after he gave the lift to the girl he was resting in his hall when she came there and sat on his lap.

Asked whether there was nobody in the house the chief said his sisters were in the main yard of the house but they did not see that. He denied any sexual encounter with the girl.

The Ashanti Regional Department of the Attorney General was contacted but the State Attorney, Mr William Kpobi, said the department was yet to receive the case docket.

Driver jailed for incest
A driver who constantly abused his 16 year-old daughter sexually despite cautions from relations was on Monday sentenced to six years imprisonment with hard labour by an Accra Circuit Court.

Robert Osie Agyemfra, charged with incest, pleaded guilty and was convicted accordingly.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Lawrence Gbele told the court, presided over by Mr C.A. Wilson that the victim lived with her father at Teshie in Accra and she slept in the sitting room while Agyemfra and victim’s stepmother slept in the bedroom.

During the later part of last year and early 2009 Agyemfra left the bedroom and had sex with the victim in the sitting room.

The prosecution said the victim became fed up with her father’s conduct and called her grandmother who lived in Tutu, Akwapim, on phone and reported the ordeal she had been going through.

Agyemfra was therefore invited to Tutu where he was cautioned to desist from that.

However, ASP Gbele said, the warning did not deter Agyemfra and he continued to abuse her daughter sexually.

The victim therefore reported the matter to her school authorities. A complaint was also lodged with the Police.

Palm wine tappers get 18 years for defilement
The Akim Swedru Circuit Court in the Eastern Region has sentenced two palm wine tapers who defiled a 15-year old cousin in turns, to a total of 18 years’ imprisonment.

Samson Osei, 20 and Augustine Nyarko, 22 pleaded guilty to the charge and Mr Kofi Akrowiah, the trial judge accordingly slapped each of them with a nine-year jail term in hard labour.

Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Osei Kwadwo said the victim, who is an invalid lived with her grandmother at Akim Akroso, while the accused persons, also lived in the same town and that Nyarko is a cousin of the victim.

Chief Inspector Kwadwo stated that, on March 23 this year, Osei sent the girl to buy bread for him and when she returned, Osei asked her to send it to one Oppong’s room.

According to the Prosecutor, while in the room, Osei locked the door, pushed her onto the bed and forcibly defiled her.

He said immediately Osei left the room, Nyarko, who was waiting behind the door rushed into the room and took his turn.

Osei and Nyarko gave the girl 50 Ghana Pesewas and 20 Ghana Pesewas, respectively, and told the victim not to tell anyone about her ordeal, but she told her Grandmother, who reported the case to the Police.

Father jailed 10 years for defiling his daughter
An Accra Circiut Court chaired by Mr Justice Kwadwo Owusu has sentenced Michael Addae, 34, an auto-electrician to 10 years' imprisonment with hard labour on his own plea for defiling his 16-year-old daughter.

Police Chief Inspector Theophilus Wilson told the court that Addae, lived at Agbogba in Accra together with his daughter from a previous marriage.

He brought the girl to live with him and his new wife after he had divorced the mother of girl.

Chief Inspector Wilson said the accused took advantage of the absence of his wife, who left the house very early for her trading activities to pester the victim for sex on several occasions and threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anybody.

On January 31 the Police, said the victim, who could not withstand the ordeal any longer reported the incident to her mother who lodged a complaint with the Police.

The Prosecutor said a medical report submitted to the Police on the victim indicated that she had intermittent vaginal discharge and bled due to the frequent defilement.

Police Chief Inspector Wilson said during interrogation, the accused admitted the offence and said he had earlier confessed his sins to the Pastor of his church, who asked him to fast for a week to seek atonement for his sins.

Father assaults daughter for denying him sex
The Brong Ahafo Police is investigating a case in which Mr Kwadwo Okai Welbeck, a 43 year old driver, is alleged to have assaulted her 21-year old daughter for denying him sex. The daughter, Stella Dansuah, told newsmen that she was staying with her grandmother at Anumboso in the Eastern Region after her parents had divorced until she died.

She moved to stay with the father two years ago at Chiraa in the Brong Ahafo region. Dansuah said the father started having sex with her and threatened to drive her away from the house if she ever informed anyone about it. "I felt something heavy on me one night in my sleep and woke up to find my father having sex with me".

Dansuah said she became fed up with the father's shameful acts so she informed her aunt about her ordeal but she told her not to mention it to anyone because it would bring disgrace to the family. ''Because of that I travelled with my boyfriend to Nkoranza for a month and on my return, my father tried to have sex with me on the same night but I refused.''

Stella said the father since that day ceased catering for her and regularly assaulted her. She said she escaped to the aunt but the father followed up to the place and beat her with a broom, destroying some properties including a refrigerator and glasses belonging to the aunt.

The aunt, who had then gone to the market returned and settled the matter amicably for her to return to the father's house. ''I returned one day from my aunt's place to meet my clothes and things thrown out from our room and the door locked whilst my father was standing in front of it.'' She said on 30 May the father came to her work place and assaulted her again so she reported to Chiraa police station with her blood-soaked and torn dress and was issued a medical form to attend hospital.

Fetish Priest jailed for defiling teen

Juaso (Ash), Jan. 29, GNA - Peter Nana Agyemang, a 40-year old fetish Priest has been sentenced to nine years imprisonment in hard labour for defiling a 13-year-old girl by the Juaso Circuit Court presided over by Justice Jacob Boon who sat as an additional circuit court judge.

Agyemang pleaded guilty to the charge and was convicted on his own plea.

Police Detective Inspector Emmanuel Atatsi, prosecuting told the court that the complainant was a teacher and grandmother to the victim who lived with her at Domeabra, while Agyemang was a Fetish Priest at Hwediem near Agogo.

He said on December 25, last year, one Afia Zenabu, a friend of Agyemang went to visit him at Hwidiem together with three others including the victim.

According to the prosecutor, after Zenabu had introduced her friends to Agyemang, he proposed love to the victim who accepted it, after which he took them to Agogo to have some fun. At Agogo, Agyemang bought drinks for them and took the victim to a hotel where he had sex with her and gave her one Ghana Cedis thirty pesewas as transport fare to return to Domeabra. Agyemang who later discovered that the victim had stolen his 20 Ghana Cedis informed Zenabu to impress on her to return the money else he would invoke curses on her.

The complainant who got wind of Agyemang's threats confronted the victim, compelling her to reveal their affair. The complainant then reported the case to the police, leading to the arrest of Agyemang who admitted the offence and called for the charge to be dropped, promising to marry the victim.Source:

A 38-YEAR-OLD resident of Gauwuso, a suburb of Obuasi, who took undue advantage of the obedience of a 13-year-old girl to rape her in his room, has lost his tongue.

At about 7.00pm on Saturday January 24, Kwame Kyere, who is married with four children, sent the 13-year-old Junior High School (JHS) pupil on an errand but took advantage of the situation to rape the poor girl when she returned.

In the course of the diabolical act, Kwame Kyere who had lured the innocent girl into his room under the pretext of giving her medicine for studies was said to have demanded a kiss from the JHS pupil.

Reports indicated that immediately the father of four pulled his tongue out to enjoy some kisses, the teenager, without delay, bit his tongue, a development which forced the rapist to abandon ‘his mission’ midstream, allowing the JHS pupil to flee to safety.

With blood oozing profusely from his seriously bitten tongue, Kyere sought medical attention at the AGA hospital where he explained that he had been attacked by armed robbers.

Having mentioned that he was attacked by armed robbers, the hospital authorities demanded that Kwame Kyere went for police a form before he could be attended to.

Desperate to seek medical attention, the 38-year-old man whose wife and children had traveled for a family engagement, went to the Gauwuso police station for the form but was subsequently arrested.

This happened because the 13-year-old girl, after escaping from the room, went straight to the police station and reported the case, so when Kwame Kyere appeared at the police station in that manner the situation struck a chord with the officer in charge who arrested him instantly.

When the 13-year-old victim appeared at the police station a few minutes later, she identified Kwame Kyere as the one who had raped her.

Due to his critical condition, Kwame Kyere was issued with a form to seek medical attention after which he was subsequently handed over to officials of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service for onward action.

Inspector Daniel Amevo who is in charge of the case confirmed the story and indicated that investigations would be launched into the matter for the law to take its course.

The Domestic Violence and Victims’ Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service in the Central Region is investigating a case in which a 22-year-old man impregnated his 19-year-old sister at Abura Abaka in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District.

After the sister had delivered, Ebenezer Aidoo is alleged to have threatened to beat his mother to death if she does not allow him to marry his sister as originally agreed.

Ebenezer told Joy FM’s Central Regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko that his mother collected GH¢40 from him for impregnating his sister out of wedlock and agreed to the relationship, therefore, he did not understand why she was now preventing them from getting married.

His sister, amid tears, added that she informed her mother when Ebenezer proposed love to her and she (the mother) asked her to agree.

Ebenezer said he would refer to the child as his nephew, even though he is his biological son.

Meanwhile, Ebenezer, his mother, and his sister (Ama Esumanba) have all been charged with incest and are currently in police custody.

71-year-old remanded for raping grand daughter

Juaso (Ash), Feb. 24, GNA - The Juaso Circuit Court has remanded a 71 year-old farmer into prison custody for allegedly raping his 17 year-old grand daughter at Konongo.

Peter Kwaku Poku, whose plea was not taken, was initially charged with canal knowledge of the victim when he first appeared before the court, and had since been remanded on several occasions in connection with the case.

However, when he appeared in court on Monday, an advice from the Attorney General's Department preferred a charge of rape against him and will therefore re-appear before the court on March 9. Police Chief Inspector Stephen Opare, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Justice Jacob Boon, sitting as an additional circuit court judge that the victim was the grand daughter of the accused and they both lived in the same vicinity.

He said on February 17, last year Poku was in his room watching television when the victim entered to join him. Moments later, Poku dragged the victim onto his bed and forcibly had sex with her after which he cautioned her to remain silent. The victim however, informed her mother who took her to the police station where a medical form was issued for the victim to attend hospital.

The form was later returned to the police duly endorsed, and the police arrested the accused.Source:

He said the teacher defiled the girl on two occasions in one of the class rooms, and when the girl became sick and was interrogated, she revealed the teacher's conduct to her mother. DSP Amoako said on December 12, 2008, the case was reported at the unit and police went to the school to arrest the suspect, but he disappeared.

He said later the police had information that the school authorities together with suspect's father had gone to the girl's family to settle the matter amicably, alleging that the suspect's father had paid an amount of GHC 710.00 to the girl's mother, to influence her to discontinue with the case.

He said effort to arrest Gyamfi proved futile and the police therefore issued summons to the school authorities as well as suspect's father to appear before court, on charges of exposing child to danger and "compounding crime" respectively. DSP Amoako appealed to the general public to assist the police with the necessary information, which could lead to the arrest of the teacher. A circuit court in Kumasi , has sentenced Kojo Poku, a 33-year old barber, to 216 months imprisonment for defiling a 10-year old girl.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Police Chief Inspector Comfort Baffour-Kyei told the court presided over by Mr. Emmanuel Amo-Yartey that the convict lived at Fante-New Town in Kumasi and operated a barbering salon at Ayigya Zongo, in the city.

Prosecution said on July 22, the victim complained of abdominal pain and told the mother that Poku had sexually abused her on five different occasions.

Chief Insp. Baffour-Kyei said the woman reported the case to the Manhyia Police Division of the Domestic Violence and Victims’ Support Unit (DOVVSU) and a medical report confirmed that the girl was defiled.

Prosecution said Poku in a caution statement denied defiling the girl and indicated that she was a regular customer at the salon.

The Zongo police in Kumasi are investigating a case in which a stoutly-built man raped a 19-year old girl in the full glare of the public at Asafo.

Eric Adjei Bawuah, known among his peers as ‘Machoman’ seized the young woman at dawn on Wednesday at the Neoplan Bus Terminal where she was going to board an Accra-bound bus after visiting a relative in Kumasi.

Luv FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah reports that he bundled the lady into a taxi cab and after driving a few yards away, he stopped the taxi, dragged his prey out of the vehicle and tore her dress to pieces.

The by-stander effect was in full swing as about 50 people watched while the poor lady was sexually molested in a bestial conduct.

The distraught lady told Ohemeng Tawiah, she endured the public ridicule and humiliation for some time until a bold, good samaritan came to her rescue.

She wants her attacker severely punished to serve as a deterrent to others harbouring such diabolic ideas.
Sunyani (Brong Ahafo Region) -- A twenty-five year-old pastor, who allegedly raped his 50-year-old mother-in-law after offering her a bottle of coke and meat pie laced with drug, has been arraigned before a Sunyani high court.

The accused, Pastor Frank Frempong, founder and leader of Sunyani-based Jordan Prayer Ministry, who pleaded not guilty to the offence, will reappear before the court, presided over by Justice Baffoe Bonnie, on April 4.

Prosecuting, Mr B. Cab-Beyuo, chief State Attorney, said in January 2000, Pastor Frempong entered into holy matrimony with one of the victim's daughters who thereby became his mother-in-law. He said on August 9, 2000, the victim fell sick and she sent for Pastor Frempong to come and convey her to the hospital. Mr Cab-Beyuo said on his way to his mother-in-law's residence, Pastor Frempong met his wife and her sister on their way to the market.

He said the pastor enquired from them whether their mother was at home and alone. When they replied in the affirmative, he told them that he was going to wait for them in the house.

The prosecutor said when Pastor Frempong entered his mother-in-law's bedroom, he engaged her in a conversation for sometime and later offered her a bottle of soft drink and meat pie suspected to have been laced with a drug.

He said no sooner had the woman taken the pie and the drink than she became drowsy and weak and consequently fell asleep. Mr Cab-Beyuo said Pastor Frempong allegedly took advantage of the victim's helpless condition and raped her.

He said the victim claimed she saw Pastor Frempong having sexual intercourse with her but she could not resist it because of the state in which she was. According to Mr Cab-Beyuo, after the act, Pastor Frempong sneaked out of the house before the victim's daughters returned home.

He said when the victim's two daughters entered the house, they found their mother very weak and when they asked her what had happened to her, she felt too shy to disclose her ordeal to them. Mr Cab-Beyuo said when the woman attempted to get up to have her bath, she fell down and collapsed.

He said on August 11, 2000, Pastor Frempong resurfaced, took the victim to the Sunyani Government Hospital for treatment and later shelved the Out-Patient's Department (OPD) identity card.

The prosecutor said five days later, Pastor Frempong took the sick woman to a prayer camp in Kumasi for a four-day spiritual healing. He said on her return from Kumasi , the victim who was traumatised by her bitter ordeal invited the Rev Matthew Owusu-Ansah, a priest of the Sunyani Anglican Church and disclosed her nightmarish experience to him.

The prosecutor said in order to avoid disgrace, as the news of the rape case was spreading, Pastor Frempong rather sued his mother-in-law at a Sunyani high court for defamation. He said consequently, the victim reported the rape incident to the Sunyani Police, leading to the arrest of Pastor Frempong. After investigations, he was charged with rape before the court.

Man 48 charged with defilement
A forty-eight year old, James Asante has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly defiling a six-year old girl at East Legon in Accra .

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector E.T. Boison told a Circuit Court in Accra presided over by Mr. Imoru Ziblim that both the victim and the accused live in the same community at East Legon . On November 5, last year in the afternoon, the victim’s mother sent her to buy some fried fish and on her return the accused called her to where he weaves baskets.

Inspector Boison said the accused told the victim to see him in his room. The unsuspecting girl obliged and the accused took advantage and raped her.

He said the accused then warned her not to mention it to anybody and asked her to come back later. On that same night at about 3 am the complainant saw her daughter loitering behind the gate of their house and when she questioned her, she said she was coming from the room of the accused and told the mother what she had gone through.

The complainant immediately lodged a complaint at the Legon Police Station; the accused was apprehended and later referred to the Women and Juvenile Unit (WAJU) for further investigations.

A police medical report revealed that the child had been defiled. The accused was charged with the offence and remanded in prison custody to reappear on April 15.

Trader jailed 10 years for sodomy
An Asamankese Circuit Court has sentenced an Accra-based trader, Kofi Boafo to 10 years' imprisonment for sodomizing two 13 year-old school boys.

Boafo, who pleaded guilty to defilement, was said to have had "unnatural carnal knowledge" of the two boys at Asikasu, near Asamankese. Police Inspector Mariama Doreya told the court that between 18 and 19 April. Boafo, who arrived at Asikasu to buy sugarcane, met the two boys and befriended them.

She said Boafo invited the boys into his room and promised to buy them a bicycle each. "He undressed them, applied pomade to their anus and his male organ before having carnal knowledge of them." The boys informed their parents about their ordeals and a complaint was lodged with the Police, the Prosecutor said.

WHEN Madam Adwoa Tawiah of Sefwi-Bekwai became bedridden after a prolonged illness, her daily prayer was for a saviour to heal and free her from her predicament.

So when a friend mentioned Osofo Kwame Benie of the United Twelve Apostles Church at Sefwi-Bekwai as the solution to her problem, Madam Tawiah thanked God for answering her prayers. Little did she know that she was going to have a date with the devil incarnate.

Osofo Benie and three other suspects did not only administer concoctions into the sexual organ of the sick woman, but they allegedly also took turns to sexually assault her. For their strange mode of healing, Osofo Benie, Kwame Gordon, Kwame Yaw and Atta Brimah are in police custody at Sefwi-Bekwai. They would be arrainged before court at Bibiani pending further advice from the Attorney-General?s office on provisional charges of abetment of rape and causing harm.

The District Superintendent of Police, Mr A. M. Sumaila, told The Mirror that on June 9, the victim, Madam Adwoa Tawiah, who was plagued with a prolonged sickness, consulted Osofo Benie for prayers and treatment.

He said Osofo Benie agreed to heal her after demanding his treatment fees. He said during one of such treatment sessions, Osofo Benie inserted some concoctions into Madam Tawiah?s private part and when she became dazed and unconscious, he sexually assaulted her and later invited the other three suspects to also rape her.

According to Superintendent Sumaila, when Madam Tawiah later regained consciousness she reported the incident to the police who later caused the arrest of the suspects.

He said when a form was issued to Madam Tawiah for medical examination the result confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted. The police have since arrested Osofo Benie and the three suspects.

Farmer, 72, gets 10 years for defilement
A Circuit Tribunal at Cape Coast on Tuesday sentenced a 72-year old farmer from Assin-Enyinabrim in the Assin district of the Central Region to ten years imprisonment for defiling a 12 year-old girl.

Benjamin Kwame Arthur pleaded guilty. Passing sentence, Mr. Peter Aggrey, Presiding chairman, said Arthur acted irresponsibly and "needed to suffer" for his actions, adding that but for his age, he would have been jailed for 25 years.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Augustine Amoonoo told the tribunal that the victim, stayed at Enyinabrim with her mother. He said on 7 June this year, at about 0630 hours the victim went to sell Kerosene while the mother left for a wake-keeping, but on her return at about 0023 hours, the woman did not find her daughter at home.

Insp. Amoonoo said Madam Koafo found the victim in a house nearby, but she bolted on seeing her mother. He said the next day, when Madam Koafo questioned her daughter about her behaviour the previous day, the victim told her that during her rounds, Arthur bought 300 cedis worth of the kerosene and gave her a 5,000 cedis.

Insp Amoonoo said the girl told her mother that she left her kerosene at Arthur's house and went to look for change for the amount. On her return Arthur asked her to bring the money to him in his bedroom and she obliged and the convict forcibly had sex with her.

The mother reported the matter to the police, and Arthur was arrested. The prosecutor said a medical report from the St Francis hospital at Assin Foso, indicated that the victim had been defiled.

Farmer jailed seven years for defilement
Asamankese (E/R), Aug. 28, GNA - Kwadwo Frimpong, a 27-year-old farmer, who defiled a 15-year-old girl and went into hiding for 18 months before he was apprehended, was on Wednesday sentenced to seven years' imprisonment with hard labour by the Asamankese Circuit Court. He pleaded guilty.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector G.D. Bruce told the court that Frimpong defiled the girl at Akyem-Nkwatanang on February 19, 2002. He said Frimpong invited the victim to his house under the pretext of asking her to run an errand for him but forcibly defiled her. The victim informed the grandfather about her ordeal and a report was made to the Police.

Driver to spend 20 years in jail for defilement
Koforidua, Aug 19, GNA - A 24-year old driver, Frank Offei, has been sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment with hard labour by a Koforidua Circuit Court for defiling a seven-year old class one pupil.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.

Police Superintendent Elizabeth Allandu of the Women and Juvenile Unit of the Police Service (WAJU) told the court that Offei and the victim are co-tenants at the Koforidua Central Market.

She said on July 27 the victim went to Offei's room to watch television and Offei forcibly had sex with her.

On August 3 Offei repeated the act but this time applied a cream on his male organ so that he could have a full penetration of the victim.

When she shouted for help he increased the volume of his television set so that no one could hear of the shouts, the prosecutor said.

After the act Offei warned her that if she ever disclosed it to anybody she would die. Some few days later the parents of the victim realized she had difficulty in walking and when they examined her she told them about her ordeal.

Kwabena Owusu pleaded guilty.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector G.K. Letsah told the court that on August 12, one Osei Yaw heard unusual noise in a pen and when Osei went to it he saw the accused having sex with one of the female sheep. Inspector Letsah said when the accused saw Osei he took to his heels but was pursued and arrested.

Thirty-year-old man appears in court for defiling his two nieces
Sunyani, Aug 14, GNA- A 10-year-old girl who together with her 11-year-old sister were allegedly defiled by their uncle is on admission at the Holy Family Hospital at Techiman in Brong Ahafo.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Alex Yartey Tawiah told the Sunyani High Court on Wednesday when the uncle, Kwadwo Takyi, a 30-year-old farmer, appeared before it charged with incest.

The court remanded the accused, who pleaded not guilty into prison custody to re-appear on Friday, August 15.

ASP Tawiah, Head of Women and Juvenile Unit (WAJU) of the Police in Sunyani, said the accused and the victims lived in the same house at Hausa line at Techiman.

On August 8, the accused took advantage of the absence of the victims' mother and lured them into his room to watch a video film and sexually abused them.

The accused then gave each of them 1,000 cedis and warned them not to inform anyone else they would die.

ASP Tawiah said one of the victims reported the incident ato the police and the accused, was arrested.

Father assaults daughter for denying him sex
The Brong Ahafo Police is investigating a case in which Mr Kwadwo Okai Welbeck, a 43 year old driver, is alleged to have assaulted her 21-year old daughter for denying him sex. The daughter, Stella Dansuah, told newsmen that she was staying with her grandmother at Anumboso in the Eastern Region after her parents had divorced until she died.

She moved to stay with the father two years ago at Chiraa in the Brong Ahafo region. Dansuah said the father started having sex with her and threatened to drive her away from the house if she ever informed anyone about it. "I felt something heavy on me one night in my sleep and woke up to find my father having sex with me".

Dansuah said she became fed up with the father's shameful acts so she informed her aunt about her ordeal but she told her not to mention it to anyone because it would bring disgrace to the family. ''Because of that I travelled with my boyfriend to Nkoranza for a month and on my return, my father tried to have sex with me on the same night but I refused.''

Stella said the father since that day ceased catering for her and regularly assaulted her. She said she escaped to the aunt but the father followed up to the place and beat her with a broom, destroying some properties including a refrigerator and glasses belonging to the aunt.

The aunt, who had then gone to the market returned and settled the matter amicably for her to return to the father's house. ''I returned one day from my aunt's place to meet my clothes and things thrown out from our room and the door locked whilst my father was standing in front of it.'' She said on 30 May the father came to her work place and assaulted her again so she reported to Chiraa police station with her blood-soaked and torn dress and was issued a medical form to attend hospital.

The Domestic Violence and Victims’ Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service in the Central Region is investigating a case in which a 22-year-old man impregnated his 19-year-old sister at Abura Abaka in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District.

After the sister had delivered, Ebenezer Aidoo is alleged to have threatened to beat his mother to death if she does not allow him to marry his sister as originally agreed.

Ebenezer told Joy FM’s Central Regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko that his mother collected GH¢40 from him for impregnating his sister out of wedlock and agreed to the relationship, therefore, he did not understand why she was now preventing them from getting married.

His sister, amid tears, added that she informed her mother when Ebenezer proposed love to her and she (the mother) asked her to agree.

Ebenezer said he would refer to the child as his nephew, even though he is his biological son.

Meanwhile, Ebenezer, his mother, and his sister (Ama Esumanba) have all been charged with incest and are currently in police custody.

71-year-old remanded for raping grand daughter

Juaso (Ash), Feb. 24, GNA - The Juaso Circuit Court has remanded a 71 year-old farmer into prison custody for allegedly raping his 17 year-old grand daughter at Konongo.

Peter Kwaku Poku, whose plea was not taken, was initially charged with canal knowledge of the victim when he first appeared before the court, and had since been remanded on several occasions in connection with the case.

However, when he appeared in court on Monday, an advice from the Attorney General's Department preferred a charge of rape against him and will therefore re-appear before the court on March 9. Police Chief Inspector Stephen Opare, prosecuting, told the court presided over by Justice Jacob Boon, sitting as an additional circuit court judge that the victim was the grand daughter of the accused and they both lived in the same vicinity.

He said on February 17, last year Poku was in his room watching television when the victim entered to join him. Moments later, Poku dragged the victim onto his bed and forcibly had sex with her after which he cautioned her to remain silent. The victim however, informed her mother who took her to the police station where a medical form was issued for the victim to attend hospital.

The form was later returned to the police duly endorsed, and the police arrested the accused.Source:

There is also some diseases in some families and when siblings or close relatives have children are more become more chronic, thus that also biologically bare brothers and sister, or to some extend close relatives marring each other. For instance my mother married her uncle and there were a lot of child mortality, thus I am the fifth born of that marriage but I am now the second born. That is the biological effect of incest.
Socially a person's close relations are his parents, brothers and sisters and when a person is in distress it is those people he runs to for assistance and consolation. Supposing a marriage between parents and children or children break apart and in place of love there is enmity therefore there is no one to take consolation from.
Incest has not been the problem of one race or tribe. Recently it was detected in Europe and U.S. and even in those cases the men involved imprisoned their children for some years from the sight of the public.

"Winneba boy sleeps with mother" ???
The caption set the story off as if this thing is very typical among Dzodze people or among ewes in general.
