For one thing, everyone should know that driving on the roads of Ghana is highly risky. Fetching water near fast-running rivers is highly risky. Eating at any restaurant in Ghana is highly risky.
  
  The question is what in Ghana is not risky? The government cannot create jobs for the people, but will not allow or encourage others to create jobs. This government, like all previous governments, feels overwhelmed but would not find the courage to admit it.

  You could see from the ministers statement that he is young and not matured in politics. I dont think he should say this at all. Just admit and say DCE and regional ministers will go there on behalf of the president.

  I mean for heavens sakes, if some bank robbers (20 of them) set up an explosive to blow open a bank and get killed in the process, is this a disaster? Should the Police and Government issue their condolences? As I understand Ghanaian English thought process, issuing a statement means sympathizing. How some of you highly primitive citizens love to compare everything in Ghana to the USA is beyond me. Keep trying!

I can't believe such a baboon is appointed a minister of state and responsible for information for that matter.
  
  In the Ghanaian culture any death of a fellow shrinks part of our lives that's why we all mourn together with the bereaved family to show our sympathy and support more so when such a national calamity of a disaster hit us.
  
  Here we have a public building collapsing and killing innocent people and other 17 going to look for something to support their families yet the guinea fowl Mahama led government do not see the wisdom to sympathized with the bereaved families here as our culture demands but astonishing saw it right to sympathized with only the three dead in far away America, what a disgustingly disrespectful insult to our dead.
  
  America's were crying for only their three dead when in fact on the same day the killer America soldiers threw bomb into a wedding party at Afghanistan killing 30 partying people pathetically including children, elders and pregnant women. Did we ever heard Obama and the Americans sending condolence the Afghan bereaved families? or were they equally human beings whose avoided death brought lost and sorrow to their people?

  I think it would only be an insensitive and unsympathetic parent who would not share the grief of the family when a recalcitrant and unrepentant child of his loses his life. Can we say because these unfortunate brothers of ours flouted the regulations they should not earn our sympathies. Can't we have sympathies for their families and the communities in which this calamity occurred. Are we gradually loosing our sense of togetherness and belonging because of the few bad nuts amongst us as a people? My brother come again because we are dealing with human life here.
