People shouldn't be subjective about this. Chinese are timid people. It's hard for them to do this. I know they only cheat in business, but physical attack this, I doubt it. Ghanaians shouldn't start blackmailing Chinese.

How can this be that a recent immigrant arms himself with a weapon to rob? Ghanaians abroad will testify that they don't get things easily in their host countries. Immigrants to Ghana should be educated to know that there Ghanaians will tolerate good behaviour but will deal ruthlessly with criminality.

Aren't immigrants subject to the laws of the land and why do we have an immigration ministry? Why aren't foreigners monitored but are allowed to do whatever they like the moment they set foot on our land, aided and abbeted by our own people? All sorts of criminals and mentally ill people have been unleashed on Ghana, so please, let's beware. They arrive with money and bedazzle Ghanaians who kow-tow to them.

It looks as though we have no effective immigration policies to vet people who come to live amongst us. Fugitive foreigners come to Ghana and are assisted by our own corrupt people to start owning land straightaway.

What is happening is that figitive criminals come to Ghana and set themselves up in businesses just like that. Some of these foreigners who have acquired patches of land on our beaches even have the audacity to ban the locals from using their own beach. The inhabitants of Gomoa Abrekum in the Central Region, for instance, have to use a longer route through the bush to reach Apam. The Chief and elders of the town have yielded to corruption and sold the citizens' birthright to a fugitive foreigner who has barred them from using the shorter beach road to Apam.

It is high time our authorities woke up to the trials and tribulations plaguing us.
