That is why everywhere you pass in Ghana, there is bribery and corruption. Go to every office and there is embezzlement. Our politicians are just dreadful.

I think Ghana has never been serious to see to her labor force. Ghana helps foreigners to carry all our money we have toiled for away all because of this peanut minimum wage. Ghanaians work hard for a lesser pay because the government structures for the wage system in Ghana encourages the investors to take all our money away. This in other way affect the economy. the higher the wage, the higher the tax to help build the nation. If I compare Ghana to many African countries, Ghana is just falling behind in terms of development.

Ghana is now for university graduates. This minimum wage will only favour the university graduates and leave the junior staff suffering. That is why the country is not progressing because of our wickedness.

Is it GH5.16 per hour or what? The government was bold to increase the price of petroleum products more than twice the price in America. In America, the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour multiplied by 8 hours = $58 a day. When one multiply by the exchange rate of GH 1.90 = $1, it boils up to over GH100 a day. Looking at the price of petro, they the minimum wage should be about GH200 a day. GH5.16 is an insult. This is the main reason why bribery is on the increase in Ghana. Can the government show some respect and give the poor labourer at least GH10 or more to make them break even. How much are the MPs who were elected to office earn, let alone their allowances? The government shoulh think about these poor labourers.
