  All around the world the Physician Assistant profession is growing. My concern is, most people think it means, Medical Assistant, whose education and training and work differ massively from the PAs. I just wish there would be another name for the profession; and most especially how we should address them. If we call them PAs, it could also mean Postal Agents. It is too long to call them Physician Assistants, many illiterates will have difficulty pronouncing it. It is awkward when I address them "Doctors". The Medical Profession should create a better Title, like they did for Nurses and Doctors.

  seriously speaking it is very unfair to say Doctors are not working in the regional hospital. This is because I KNOW for sure that the strike action has not been felt in the hospital. Doctors work till late night. There is always one even for night duties. The surgical team is almost always in theatre likewise the gynae Doctors. The best we could tell them is thank u rather than tarnish their image. I think Dr nyamuame, Dr ocloo, Dr mbroh, Dr iroko together with their house officers will not be pleased to hear this
