You still think the ewes were brought from another place and incorporated into present day ghana. I pity you. In your myopic brain, ewes are no brain. who is smuggling these children to the volta lake? who is taking money from the recruiters? It is their parents and guardians! I blame Daily Guide for unfinished reportage. Why did DG leave out the names of the people who were expecting kids. All you know it is people from their own areas who are the owners of the projects that the unfortunate kids are going to work for. I am not condoning child labour, but your tribalistic utterances show how ignorant you are. One of my friends was a victim of this unfortunate exploitation. My friend did not go to school and when he returned, he was too old to successfully integrate into the education system and finally had to drop out of school. Parents, owners and the recruiters must be brought to book for these atrocities against the kids. This is a difficult situation and the govt and the ngos must work together to help these kids.

  If fishing is a job one can live on, let the Ministry of Agric include it in the school curriculum so that these kids can fish for their own dailly bread. Nobody should used for his own personal gain.
