In the first place I want to know what the military men were officially doing at the independence squere when Ghanaians were hillariously celebrating the 56 years anniversary of our country,s independence.Is the country in a state of emmejency where the presence of the military was required to keep the peace or there was a hint that terrorists were some where arround to kill our president which needs reburst attention by the men in green khaki uniform.The action of the military was tantamount to repression of the civilian populace which should not be condoned by all right thinking Ghanaians who believe in democracy and must be condemned without any reservation.My next worry is that,were the police which understands the behaviour of civilians on their mass accummulated leave which neccesitated the presence of the military men who made nonsence of the beauty of this icon celibration world wide and sent sence of mixed feelings to our business partners abroad.It is my candid oppinion to suggest that to avoid such unwelcome military intervention of this kind the police should be comissioned to guard and guide the president in such momentious occasions since the military regime came to an end with their leader flight Lt, John Jeremaiah Rawlence several years ago.

It is so strange if today someone can come out to claim his or her support for NDC pupet administration and claim

The journalists themselves did not report the matter to the police either and decided to play politics with it instead.

What is going to happen is that a bunch of corrupted fools will be replaced by another bunch of idiots. And if you think everything will be OK then you are living in cloud cookoo land. NOTHING will change. There is a vacuum in Ghana politics and smaller opposition parties are too weak to take advantage of the vacuum. What is needed is something like the Arab Spring, I call this AFRICA AWAKENING starting from Ghana the first country to get our independence. We should occupy houses of parliment or Nkrumah Circle until this nonsense all these people are rounded up and locked up

It is not the government but the citizens of Ghana that continue to delegate their rights to reason and or engage in human thought processes to their parliamentarians and representatives that has given rise to the very animal kingdom called modern day Ghana. Ask any snort-faced Ghanaian, from the Diaspora to mother Ghana, and they will be apt to repeat the same old folly that Ghana is some democratic country because we have people, including me, at liberty to insult our leaders without fear of or from the government. And where did our constitutional framers get their ideas and ideals for true democratic values or principles?
Did those framers know of the role of the military in any civilized nation? Did they understand which security agency should be vested with internal national security and crowd control assignments? Did they know the difference between accountability and chain of command? It was precisely because the voting public has been derelict in the exercise of their brains that continues to lead our leaders down the path of pleasing tribal interests rather than national interests. Ghana's military personnel have never exhibited signs of loyalty to the nation and or its citizens but unto themselves. They either engage in treasonous acts (overthrow of legitimate governments) or human right abuses (killings and abuse of citizens) to abject stealing and misuse of national revenue. So here we are as a nation claiming to have a constitution that is supposed to have the mostly uneducated bunch that seem to have the power vested in them to take over the nation at the drop of a dime. What then should we expect from this self-absorbed bunch when we call on them to engage in services that ought to be provided by the police and not the military?
