If it were mere lapses as you suggest, the statistics also suggests that the benefits should be bionomially distributed among the competing candidates and there should be no reason why slashing out the illegal votes should significantly afect the results. But as it is now, there is every indication that Mahama will be the eventual loser if these illegal votes are nullified. The only explanation is that it was a systematic crime committed by Mahama and the ruling party. What prompted Mahama to unilaterally attempt to influence voters to vote without biometric verification when he knew it was illegal and that he and the others had not come to a consensus? In any case "The law is the law" and a law is not made on the spur of the moment. Therefore it was rudiculous for Mahama to think that he could use his authority to bully his way through. Now he is paying dearly for his irresponsible statement.
