  Talking about Ghana's population not being one of the largest on the continent is really old thinking. Most prosperous economies in Europe and elsewhere do not have large populations either. We need to restructure our educational system focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) so that we can produce knowledge-based products for export and lead the nation to prosperity. No matter how many foreign investors you appeal to, the bottom line is a well educated population that can move the country forward. Bringing low paying factory jobs is just a band-aid approach.

  Ghana cannot have a japanese car factory or a german VW car factory because the Ghana market and population too close and small and the barriers againnst export to other African countries too high and expensive for the exporter.

  You don't have to tell any good businessman what you want him to do. A good businessman must already have his/her areas of operation- if it is the right fit, then he/she is ready to discuss and negotiate with the government, ...

  You don't have to tell any good businessman what you want him to do. A good businessman must already have his/her areas of operation- if it is the right fit, then he/she is ready to discuss and negotiate with the government, in regards to any available incentives the government can provide to entice them to move-in and establish in the country.
