How does a birthday cake become haram? It is not food? I know in Is Islam, any food bought with blood money is haraam, any food bought with money from interest (riba), Lottery, stolen money, or money from proceeds of nacortics as well as food prepared with pork/swine meat or ham are haraam. However, if it is mere flour, sugar and all halall ingredient that was used to prepare food to celbrate his birthday, then it can never be haraam. I expect muslim brothers and sister commenting on this site to be circumspect in their comment about something they cannot be authority in. I read with dismay the comment about one of the commentators on this site talking about islamic jurisprudence (Fiqhu) in which he claim the National Chief Imam can not adjudicate in any islamic jurisprudence to any muslim in Ghana. Remember that, Ghana is not an Islamic state and can not adjudicate issues islamically, but turn to justice system in Ghana. So chief imam in Ghana is not expected to adjudicate issues of islamic jurisprudence for muslims in Ghana, but preach, educate and teach the muslim umma about it for guidance to rightousness. In instructive to tell any haters fo the Chief imam that, if you care to know, go and find out his level of knowledge and teachinss in the facets in arabic and islamic religion discourse and stop your sheer envy of the oldman. I entreat every reader to read properly before you condemn the issue of birthday and if you want to talk about western culture, who told you all westerners are not muslims. Think again!!. Any thing that is not stated emphatically in the Quran and Hadith that it is Haraam, that means you do not right whatsoever to accuse the oldman for any cultural infitration into islam. Hold what you think you know and leave the National Chief Imam alone to get on with his life, He has led a fulfilling life which those of you commenting and trying very hard to discredit may not be able reach there. So pray to God to guide you to live piously as the National Chief Imam of Ghana. He will continue to be our National Chief Imam till he return to his maker, you can go and burn the sea for what I care!!!!!!!

I know when your time comes, u will be worse because people like u will even want to kill Him the chief imam and take his place. I also believe Mahmud is the same person supporting his own comments using different names and time intervals. I also think the workers are doing excellent by taking money to help others fly over sea to make a better life out there so my brother please stop hating and be happy because when u also get money, u can see them for a connection as well instead of no connection at all.
