Why punish Gabby? Have you forgotten that there is freedom of speech clause in our Constitution? Every body has the right to say whatever he/she feels about any public official if feels that what he/she saying is true and does not defame the character of the person.Gabby could be punished if he is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.Even that he can fight any punishment imposed on him in court by the Bar Association if he feels the statement does not merit the punishment.What has happened to Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata's unprofessional "shut up" outbust in the court against his fellow "learned friend" in the presence of the High Court Justices? Or is he better than other lawyers?

Ours is a growing democracy and laws need be reviewed where necessary; starting with the fundamental law - the Constitution.
Where there's a contradiction between statutory provisions and the fundamental law, there can be only one solution -- do away with that provision or amend the constitution.
It is clear that the Constitutional stands on working on public holidays and review of SC verdicts make the respective provisions in the CIs unconstitutional; and the SC did Ghana very good by throwing away those provisions in the CIs to avoid contradiction with the Constitution. And the beautiful thing about the whole thing is that the case was initiated by a citizen who is not a lawyer!
The next big thing that needs be looked into is the Constitutional stand on suffrage vs. the provisions on voting rights as spelt out by the EC mandate.
Now, the puzzling question is why should anybody be against polishing rough edges in our laws and correcting contradictions in our Fundamental Law? I can't cease to be amazed or dismayed by Gabby's reaction!

The frustration from Sweden is what is making him behave like that. He can talk like that to them because they allowed him to go free with the Makola certificate that he paid for with Mr. Ansah Asare of Readwide.
