  I told you so. The bank is full of non performing managers. I am going to write about the bank in the next few days. It is going to be a shocker. It is a shame that the centre can not hold. Certain branch managers are using the bank's time for their own selfish needs. They do not work, and sabotage others who are serious to work. Yes, there are a few hard working staff and managers. But the rest and the majority are just wastes. I will mention names in my article. The bank has lost many hard working staff members. Some branch mangers behave as if they sell and operate at Makola. What comes out of their mouths are unprintable. When the boat inks it will sink for us all. Management of Merchant bank should have learnt from the unfortunate situation that confronted GHANA AIRWAYS. Wait for my article.

  It is the interference of various governments in pushing management of banks to give bad loans that has resulted in all this.If Merchant goes down, we will be left with GCB, NIB and Agric Bank. Within five years one of these banks will face the same problems because our politicians will not do the right thing. I am told that a former MD of Merchant Bank who gave Ibrahim further loans when what he had already taken was not being paid is not an advisor to the President on financial matters. What a country! I am for the coming in of the South Africans or any investor.

  No no no. The bank should be handed back to The Kwahu merchants who were operating the Kantamanto market. Those days those kwahu merchants who were operating stores in the capital were eye opener, they took the initiative to send some of their children abroad so study okonomics like banking so that they could come home and man the bank but when Rawlings came to power he took the bank and sold all the better machines from the bank to a secret place where nobody could count for them. He even took away TATA Brewery from the owner and many things. Why the merchant bank is collapsing because the taking over was not done on a good platform.

  Daily Guide, if you have BALLS (Obia dia mienu mienu) then publish the names of the NPP gurus who are owing the bank. It is not only Engineers & Planners who are owing the bank. Now, they are even paying and your NPP men are not. I even expect the bank's MD to deal with you for making noise with the debt of Engineers & Planners because of your publication's effect on CUSTOMER SERVICE, ETHICS and OATH OF SECRECY policy of the bank. Now it will be difficult for them to get "big" customers like that to do business with and earn interest income. Do you know how much interest income the bank earns on that loan before you made that FOOLISH and IGNORANT publication? Do you know that interest income on that loan alone pays more that half of the work force? ILLITERATES and CERTIFICATELESS FOOLS!!!

  Ibrahim Mahama boasted to the whole nation of being the first Ghanaian to acquire a Lear jet even though he was reportedly behind his scheduled payments. Afraid of the jet being repossessed, he is said to have had it put in hangar in a neighbouring country (most likely Cote d'Ivoire or Burkina).
  
  The original plan by senior brother, John Mahama, was to sell Merchant bank cheap to the South Africans in exchange for them absorbing Ibrahim's and all other customer debts. No need to underline that Ghana would be the biggest loser should this plan go through!
