I wish the entire Accra central will burn down to ashes, then all these rats, dogs and roaches will ran back to their respective villages, leaving the poor indigenous people to fend for themselves...oh how they will dash back to the city soon as reconstruction starts.

Accra got developed at the expense of the villages you are talking about. And the unfortunate traders you are heaping insults at play major role in the socio-economic activities than most big Companies like Obuasi Goldfieds. Their economic activities intertwined with millions of people across the country. They pay their taxes which add to the Government's tax net to pay it's workers and do other developments which Accra have benefitted more than the villages where these traders hail from. E&OE.

The trader should be relacted to ease congestion in the Accra district as well as to develop another area or the market must bu rebuilt in a well planned manner fitted with good drainage system, fire and security systems, etc.
It is obvious that lack of strategic thinking and good management systems is harming and killing Ghanaians everyday, whilst poor and selfish leadership thrives and feeds on the ignorance of the poor.
What have the minister of the Interior, his staff at the ministries, AMA, IGP, Fire Service, etc have been doing all these years to prevent this occurrences or prevent them from happening.
There is no ACCOUNTABLE LEADERSHIP in Ghana.

The rebuilding of the market will provide architecture beauty to the city and will also enhance easy access to the markets in times of disasters to be attended to on time. Looking at the present situation of selling before the fire outbreak, there was no way the fire service could help stop the fire from further destruction. Ghanians let us respect people in authority if we call ourselves Christians, because the bible states that we must respect people in authority.
