If you disagree with your opponent then you become an enemy and the state security runs after you. These are some of the reasons why we struggle to prosecute our own politicians who a frauds.
Perhaps we can remain part of the International Criminal Courts but advocate for some decentralization, so Americans would be tried in America, Africans in Africa, Europeans in Europe. But we should endeavour uproot corrupt practices and nepotism so we can use our court system

In any case, let me make it abundantly clear that it is not true that the West have stronger institutions and therefore they dipense better justice.

Any African who has lived in the West - Europe or America, can testify to how extremely prejudiced and weak their institutions are, especially when it comes to prosecuting and giving fair trial to black people. The so-called International Criminal Court is the most glaring and shameful example. Simply put, the ICC is just an imperialist mechanism that has replaced the whip that was used to chastise 'rebellious' slaves who refused to kow-tow to the contemptible sub-human conditions under which they were kept and used.

European and American jails are full of Black people. They make it seem that God created Africans as bad people and criminals. It is one of the most preposterous and laughable paradoxes of life.

Unfortunately it will continue to be so because Africans themselves have not been so keen to relieve themselves of the chains of mental slavery. Many Africans are happy to continue to be subjective to the whims of the (neo)colonial dictators.

So African American men and African leaders have prison in common. Putin has been accused of human rights abuses however, his country has nuclear weapons and one of the best militaries in world. So the ICC seem to be a bit, shy about prosecuting people like him

Our leaders, the educated elite think that the nations they rule, belongs to them and can "act" anyway that pleases them. What is the "rule of law" to our leaders and the educated elite? It means nothing to them. They are above the laws that governs the poor and the down trodden.

Look at this Barton Oduro. This guy should be in jail for his role in doling out that fictitious payment to Woyome and being above the law, he is lecturing the poor.

If the West stop looking over Africa, our leaders and the educated elite will turn around and cannibalize the poor. They will act with impunity.

Charles Taylor, with all the crime he committed, will still be president and slaughtering his people.

Gbagbo having lost the election, prefer destroying the Ivory Coast than leaving peacefully.

Till we make sure to uphold what "rule of law" means on the African continent, the West should keep on supervising us.
