TB Joshua, the man who tricked God?

Sometimes I wonder if Jesus was walking the land of Jerusalem today if he would be on TV. Would CNN, Al-Jazeera, BBC and the other popular networks broadcast his ministry and miracles live? Would he be like Rev. Benny Hinn, donning a $50,000 Rolex watch or like Prophet T. B. Joshua, with a flashy Nollywood smile and a cool $20 million in the bank? Would the savior of mankind, live in a sprawling 15-bedroom mansion? Would Jesus ride to miracle healing crusades in his own private Jet with all the pomp and showmanship?

I have no doubt millions of eyes would be glued to TV sets as he performed the miracle of feeding 5,000 hungry mouths with only five loaves of bread. Would he prophesy the results of soccer matches and the death of presidents? What would he say about modern prophets like Jesus One Touch? Would he silently ignore them or lash out with the flash of a whip and the sharpness of rebuke?

All humans want to know the unknown, or even the unknowable. We are wired by God to want to know what tomorrow holds. It is probably why we are so fascinated by those who claim to know the future or who claim to possess the gift of prophecy. At the birth of 2013, one of Africa’s popular ‘men of God’, the Nigerian Prophet T. B. Joshua issued his prophecy for the New Year, as usual. My childhood friend, Fiifi, who follows and hangs on to every word the Yoruba miracle worker says, told me about the prophecies. I decided to check them out. Fiifi’s passion was too strong to ignore.

T. B. Joshua prophesied that “many great, famous, rich men and politicians will become helpless and in need of help in matters of sickness, disease, finances and death”. I looked at Fiifi in amazement, as to why he believed this was a prophecy. This is not a prophecy but a generalized statement. There are thousands of famous and great men in the world, so naturally some would get into trouble. Every week some famous person dies or gets into trouble around the world. In the USA alone, for instance, some star or famous person gets into trouble almost every day. If I say there is going to be a storm in the USA that is going to cause destruction this year, it is not a prophecy. It is a simple geographical fact.

Psychics and con artists use these tricks all the time. They tell you there is a man in your family named Mensah trying to harm you spiritually. Of course, they know almost everybody in Ghana has a Mensah in their family or knows one who is close. Do people believe these fake prophets because they desperately want a miracle in their life so badly that a fake miracle is better than no miracle? Well, a fake miracle is no miracle. A fake miracle is like the ostrich solution to problems, it is the alcoholic’s solution to problems. Once you are drunk, the problem disappears. However, the problem reappears when the drunken stupor fades off. This is not a solution, it is denial and lying to oneself.

T. B. Joshua’s other prophecy tickled me blue. He said, “Those in the foodstuff business will have a field day this year. Farming and agriculture will be the order of the day and will help greatly to be the source of solution this year. People engaged in it will be greatly blessed,” Why would anyone consider this a prophecy? Is this over-baked, redundant, recycled financial advice or what? Last year a cargo plane crashed in Accra, the Melcolm building collapsed but Joshua did not see it to warn us. What is the purpose of these ‘prophesies’ if it serves no purpose and helps nobody? Where is the next Tsunami going to be? That’s what we want to know, so we can be ready.

Can Temitope Joshua prophesy the Boston bombing next time before it happens, rather than ‘predicting’ it after it has happened? If he had prophesied the Boston Marathon bombing, his name would be on every major network in the world. Oprah, CNN, NBC,New York Times and all the big networks would be at his door begging for an interview. He did not prophesy the Boston bombing. That is the fact that the whole world knows except the gullible followers of Joshua in Ghana and Nigeria.

People like TB Joshua and their fake miracles thrive in non-questioning, semi-literate societies, where superstition is rife even among the educated. Why would the great omnipotent Jehovah reveal such useless prophecies? These prophecies are definitely not from God. They are from the demented mind of one who seeks fame and money and know how to manipulate a society of gullible zombies.

Joshua did not prophesy the Melcolm building collapsing which would have saved many lives. Neither did he prophesy the crashing of a cargo plane into a bus at Kotoka Airport. When Accra Sports stadium collapsed, he did not see it. Even when President Mills was stricken with cancer and on the verge of death, he did not see it. When a tsunami devastated Japan, Joshua did not see it. God does not show Joshua revelations that would save lives. God only reveals soccer scores, election results and mushed-up general statements that help no one. Attributing these cheap ‘revelations’ to God is blasphemy. Yahweh, the creator of the universe, with billions of stars and galaxies, cannot do better than giving useless financial advice?

Joseph in the Bible interpreted dreams that averted a famine and saved the lives of millions of people. Moses saved many Israelites from the plagues that devastated Pharoah, because his predictions came true and were time specific.

How would such prophesies be received in educated countries like Germany, Canada or Japan? Nobody in any developed, educated world of critically thinking people would see Balogun Joshua’s statement as prophecies. However, among many Africans, these are words from the Almighty Yahweh himself. Joshua is sleek, shrewd and a good stage magician, who can fool millions of gullible, desperate Africans. He has amassed wealth to the tune of $20 million. Needless, to say, he has tricked his way into great wealth. Man can be fooled, but the most sophisticated sakawa, 419 tactics cannot trick God. Just like Obinim, Jesus One Touch, Bishop Eddie Long and all the many false prophets had come crashing down, time would show that Bishop Temitope Balogun Joshua cannot trick God.

Look misery, sickness, accidents and mishaps etc are all part of life and not a prophecy. Death is the ultimate inevitable end so for such con artist like TB Joshua and his fellow awam pastors in Ghana to exploit the fears and worries of those who call themselves Christians but are afraid to die is like those hypocrites who want to go heaven but don’t to die.

FREE YOUR MIND AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW.

There is a fine line between faith and blind faith. And off course a difference between faith and blind obedience. I am obliged to say that TB Joshua employs the latter and thereby preys on the innocence, naivety and blind faith/obedience of his followers and to most extent sometimes willing victims, which I term faithfools, to exploit them for his own ostentatious lifestyle and selfish ends.

Did Jesus have any bank account? Did Jesus get any cent from those he healed or the thousands he fed? Jesus died penniless so if any of These 419 pastors want to live like Jesus then they have to forgo all worldly things. Then good name is better than riches.

TELL ALL THESE CHARLATAN PASTORS THAT HEAVEN IS FREE.

Does TB Joshua know anything about Habeas corpus act? Thus unlawful detention of any citizen of Ghana by his/her fellow citizen is tantamount to deprivation of liberty which is punishable under Maame/Daavi Ghana’s law.

Tell TB Joshua that his bodyguards are supposed to protect him but not beyond that. TB Joshua’s bodyguards cannot forcibly take people in this case journalist into custody and bypass our policemen and women whose job it is to keep law and order. Why are his bodyguards at large? He should hand them over and not obstruct justice of the law.

Tell TB Joshua that exploiting and hijacking the hopes and aspirations of the venerable in our society is appalling, diabolical and the most perverse thing one can ever do to his fellow human being. Exploitation of the religiously addicted masses who blindly obey and believe what he [TB Joshua] says amounts to daylight robbery to say the least. I don’t want to mention the all night thievery. Reliable information chanced upon by your incontrovertible ModernGhana have given strong credence that one of the most influential traditional rulers in the Ashanti Region, Nana Osei Kwame Ababio, Tetremhene Of The Tetrem Traditional Area, within the region is wanted by some Ghanaians in Canada for Multiple Visa Fraud running to the tune of about Canadian$600,000

Reports indicate that the Ashanti chief in question mobilized the money from about 30 unsuspecting Ghanaians living in Canada who wanted their wives and other family members to join them in Canada.

The victims revealed that Nana Osei Kwame Ababio promised to add their relations to his traditional delegation or entourage to bring them to Canada but have since 2011 not fulfilled his side of the bargain and has bolted away with the cash.

According to sources, the chief turned visa contractor visited Toronto last two years after which he decided to start smuggling illegal immigrants into Canada.

He therefore entered into a contract with the victims who live in Toronto but wanted their husbands, wives, sisters, brothers and loved ones to join them.

They were made to pay between CAN$8,000 to CAN$10,000 dollars to cover processing of documents for visa, medicals, tickets and passport which they all paid in full.

The chief turned visa contractor told the victims that the Canadian embassy in Accra was prepared to grant up to 30 members of his retinue visa and wanted to use the opportunity offered him to cover members of the victims to get visa to Canada.

It turned out that this chief who can move the king of Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to attend events in his traditional area was only deceiving them.

All attempts to reach him on phone have not been successful as he either do not pick international calls suspecting it might be coming from his victims in Canada giving his pursuers the only option to leave a message on his phone but even that he does not call back.

The visa contractor, who recently held a durbar to celebrate a speech and prize giving day in his town which was attended by the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is believed to be hiding in and around his house either in Accra or in his hometown in the Ashanti Region.

Several attempts by the victims to get him in his house in Accra or in his home town in the Ashanti Region to retrieve their monies have proved futile.

Following this revelation, the victims have mounted a wild hunt for the Tetremhene from all corners of the world.

“We are keeping his name for now giving him the chance to do justice to us by paying back our money as soon as possible. If by the first quarter of the year 2013, he fails to refund our monies, we will go all out to smoke him out from his hole like a rat,” one of the victims hinted.

I am aware of the point you are making but there can be no Akan this or that now or tomorrow, because only one PEOPLE can achieve THAT through real unity. Where is the real unity when Ashantis think they are smarter than the Akyems, and Fantis too think they are intelligent than the Ashantis. The Nzema too have theirs against Fantis while the Akwapims too have their against the Akwamus. You can imagine the Bonos against the Ashantis and so and so forth.

In Ghana we do not have any single tribe with major population that can be used politically to form Government, and that is why people from certain TRIBE are smartly using the word ''we the Akan'' just to draw some tribes considered to be of the Akan group on board to achieve their hidden agenda.

The 100 percent population of Ghana is made up of 25 percent coming from the 3 northern regions involving many tribes within the ;- upper west, upper east and the northern.

Secondly the 75 percent is shared among the Akan, Ewes and the Gadangwe. The Akan is 52 percent which is shared among TEN [10] Tribes namely Ahanta, Akwapim, Akwamu, Akyem, Ashanti, Bonos, Fantis, Kwahu, Nzema, and Sefwi.

With the remaining 23 percent, the Ewes, made up of 6 tribes takes 14 percent while the Gadangwe, made up of 2 tribes form 9 percent.

Let me share something interesting with you about this projection of the Akan issue. In the first place some people wish to gain smart political power in Ghana, and they find it difficult to achieve that goal thus they start using the Akan in this so called democracy in Ghana. I want to help you get the point well, ask yourself if you did hear the use of the word Akan, or we the Akan can not sit and be treated like this, All die be die before the start of this so called democracy in 1992.

The above mentioned tribes that form AKAN have similarities in their languages that is why they were called AKAN and therefore there is nothing that prove that they are one people. With their actions and reactions among [ Akan] themselves you can really make your own decision on this AKAN ISSUE. Typical example is the clear hidden fight between the Akyem and the Ashanti. Akuffo Addo group and the Kufour group.

What I believe is the real unity of seeing ourselves as Ghanaians, and hope the heavens will help us to achieve this national unity.

So far Prophet Joshua hasn't done anything to warrant such an attack: when he came to recently he didn't take a cedi from anybody! You Bempah and any other pastor would have taken the opportunity to rake in millions of cedis through collections upon collections and appeals upon appeals. His church is the only one I've seen you can go and worship whether you've money or not.

No one seems to notice you simply because you have not done enough to deserve any attention.

It is unfortunate that most of the so called pastors today simply pocket church funds and use it to finance their lavish lifestyles.

I only hope he will try and rebuild his ministry after so many scandals that has rocked it and rendered it weak and powerless. Does he want to rebuild his ministry at the back of T.B. Joshua? Owusu Bempah indeed has a tarnished reputation in Ghana and abroad. In London the police had to intervene when one David Myles organised a crusade for him but only a handful of people turned up, he got so much annoyed that he had not been paid his share of the money and he threatened to fight the organiser of the crusade, David Myles. The police had to be called in to bring sanity to the situation.

Owusu Bempah has been embroiled in so many problems bothering on integrity and honesty. He bought a stolen car from a fraudster which became the news of the hour and also an affair with his maid servant which also became a national issue. It is this same Owusu Bembah who had a massive stroke and was flown in to London for medical help and admission. He didn't take a cue from this but rather turned against Agyin Asare and the rest saying they were not from God.

Let me say this, there is no one in Ghana with the anointing T.B Joshua has been endowed with. Owusu Bempah is becoming irrelevant in Christendom. He wants to be noticed and recognised at all cost. I will rather urge him to further his education and start learning English.

What is Owusu Bemoan' s achievement apart from siphoning monies from unsuspecting Ghanaians for his lavish lifestyle. Can he tell us why his lawfully wedded wife divorced him? Owusu Bempah while give us a break from his demonic posturing. Yes, we know God can use any medium to bring healing and deliverance to his people but what his giving of salt and honey done to people who attend his crusades? At least, we can testify to T B JOSHUA'S anointing water and stickers. I advice Owusu Bempah to mend his chequered ways and concentrate on his ministry and stop attacking pastors. Today is Agyin Asare, tomorrow is T. B. Joshua. If it is a personality conflict he should see his doctors again in England. Ghanaians are getting fed up with his sickening effusions

TB Joshua has demonstrated the character of God by the graceful and prompt manner he responded to the accusation that He detained journalists;I am sure Owusu-Bempah would not apologize for anything. Similarly, although TB Joshua has been criticized and detested, whenever he comes out to speak, he does not curse or condemn anybody.Jesus Himself was doubted but He kept being good to all, and i see TB Joshua simply continue to be good to all. Rev. Bempah should understand that no ministry or man of God is powerful but God only and so he should focus on how he can earn favor before God than being accepted and honored fleet of cars. The respected Bishop Jakes of USA also draws crowd wherever he goes even the USA, even when he does not want that.

Prophet TB Joshauh is a humble man of God. He has Faith. And the Lord has given him the grace to live for him.

He exercises his God given authority over situations and stands in the gap for many.

His gift of word of knowledge and Prophecy empowers him to deal with issues that hitherto the church has been struggling with.

We are to grateful and thankful that the Lord has given us a Prophet. This is an opportunity to learn more.

I have come across believers that are still blinded to the grace bestowed upon this Ministry.

My joy is that God is at work, and these signs would follow those that belief.

The Prophet started from a very humble beginning. His availability and willingness to serve the Lord has crowned him with success. He did not allow his limited formal academic background to hold him back.

What makes this Ministry beautiful is his simplicity in dealing with spiritual issues. It is not about him. It is all about the Lord at work.

The Ministry continues to be a blessing to many, and it my prayer that many continue to be blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.

If you see him doing evil, why cannot you just approach him and find the truth rather than use him (TB Joshua) to canvass for your churches? Surprisingly enough I have never heard him say other men of God are from Devil. Even Christ was accused of using demonic powers but He never accused anyone. I realize now that those who are agents of devil are the first to call others satanists. Lets stop accusing others rather pray for them if we see anything wrong with our brothers and help them.

I would advice any person from now on who disbelieves him to go to SCOAN and if you are light and true worshiper of God, then the demons you claim to be there will not withstand your presence but if you yourself are possessed you will just manifest even before wisemen pray for you!

Even Jesus was never accepted by the 'learned - God-fearing' Pharisees and they questioned the miracles He performed even if He was sent by God Himself. It is not strange then that history will repeat itself especially when something comes from God. Let each one of us mind our own business and afterall God will judge us all.
