You live in Ghana where the borders are so porous. Anybody can bring in droves of guns even through police barriers if you are ready to bribe your way through.

The dean of Academic Affairs, one would believe will talk better sense than gun licenses in Ghana. Gun licenses are more of mitigating factors compared to the chronic border problems.

To date we don't even know how many weapons were brought into the country or who got what. Normally weapons are received by the BOD and serial numbers recorded. All weapons brought into the country in a regular manner by the armed forces for the last 40 years can be accounted for. Our nightmare is now the weapons brought into the country recklessly by the PNDC.

I bet to differ that the shootings are less more of a security concern than the motor accidents and floods, they are serious and can be avoided if strict measures are put in place as a deterrent measure. we have to arrest the pepetrators in the criminal act and examine the weapons used before we conclude on who and how it was acquired.we have to redouble our efforts to fight crime. The small, small crimes committed when unattended to resort to large scale crime. In criminal analysis of crime no crime is small, crime is crime, so long as it is against societal norms and proven to be crime. Ghana Police Service are doing their best, i have respect for them especially the Operational commmander but we have to do more to gain public confidence of being in control of crime prevention and an approachable partner in crime prevention who are willing to listen and get information for quick procesing.

This is not a party issue,is time Ghanaians really should after elections think non partly and workl together for the development of the country and community.For we all are that same people and living in the same community.Like Dr Emmanual said really there are more issues to be tackle and lets put our energy towards that.So one love to all those who are not callin for hatred.
