The problem is Tsatsu is not a court room lawyer and does not know how to do cross examination by asking open ended questions that give Dr Bawumiah to make statements.

Tsatsu has not even uttered the words, "YOU HAVE ANSWERED THE QUESTION" to cut Dr Bawumiah off when he veers off course and instead goes ahead to ask another question. As somebody who have watched court proceedings, Tsikata is really a bad lawyer who should be in the classroom like President Mills was because he is a classroom lawyer not a Trial lawyer.

Atuguba says "Let's get at the facts of the matter and ascertain the truth and declare it". Why then does he allow Tsikata to do whatever he wants in the courtroom? This case is not about any technicalities. It is just about whether there were deliberate actions from the EC to favour the NDC. Why is the case now connected to Sir John? Do these people think the world is not watching us?

I think chairman of the panel Justice Atuguba has made a clear, bold and decisive statement to lawyers on all sides and the witness!! This is our courtroom not yours. Plus, if you choose to play politics with the case and your answers and responses, fine, but don't do it here.

In here "we are only concerned with the issues in this case not the political ones". This is called authority and in case the critics were not following it, they now should know who is in charge in the courtroom.

You might be impressed by this cowardly act by Atuguba by pandering to Tsatsu because both of them wear the same political colours. Some of us are not impressed by this Atuguba coming to the rescue of Tsatsu who seems to ask open ended questions that allows Dr Bawumiah to make statements. Law 101 advice lawyers to ask compact questions to elicit short answers and Tsatsu sometimes even ask Bawumiah's opinion, unheard of in any courtroom by a Defense lawyer asking a witness for his opinion. Atuguba if he really wants to get control f the courtroom should school Tsatsu on law 101.

You know full well this happens in families up and down the country). Secondly, I am not "impressed by his actions" but am satisfied because it was necessary to bring home the point to all and sundry that their shenanigans in court needed to stop, and this includes Tsatsu, whom he reprimanded on a number of occasions. As to Tsatsu's show of disrespect to Counsel Addison, he was roundly condemned on the issue and even he regrets it (as mentioned by Ato-Dadzie).

However both sides have been trying to 'stretch' their liberties in court and the justices have been fair to both sides and allowed them some lea way but even judges get frustrated and in this case, Justice Atuguba in my view had had enough. If you are truly familiar with the court system and cases, you will appreciate why he acted the way he did and to send a warning not just to the witness, but to all of them.

It was a very simple factual question about early declaration of the results by Afriyie which everyone including you and I are fully aware of Dr Bawumia had absolutely no need to be labour the point. It was a simple yes or no answer and can you Justice tell me why Bawumia (whom Atuguba described as "very intelligent") should be going round and round the point like a taxi drivere trying to 'stretch his fare'?

With all due respect, we may disagree on certain issues but my comments and responses are based on the facts as they play out in court and I am glad others will not sway me in what we are witnessing. When people try to put undue or untruthful spins on these issues, I come out to comment and to criticise because that is grossly unfair and nothing further from the truth.

I am of the view (and I know you don't necessarily agree) that the justices have so far been even-handed. One thing you cannot accuse justice Atuguba of is partisanship. If I saw that, I would be the first to criticise and point it out, believe me.

Can't Tsatsu say it by himself? I don't believe he is sorry or he would have issued a statement to that.

Atuguiba has been paqrtisan and he even showed it today when he overruled another Co Judge who has told Tsatsu that his questioning was not necessary but I will not dwell on it now since I have written an article dealing with that.

It is very absurd to sometimes read these infantile comments from people living abroad, especially in a country where you have the entire knowledge one can acquire and true democracy fully at work but chose to buy ignorance at an expensive price when wisdom is free and readily available like the air we breathe. Well it is not their fault; it is the fact that ignorance and foolishness is immortal and diverse, and as a result one can easily fetch it anywhere.
Again, I don't blame them; I blame the fact that these kind of people never had the blessed opportunity to live in an open-minded metropolitan habitat like Accra to broaden their horizon before finding themselves abroad and think what they are saying makes sense.
Enough! This is the Supreme Court and those Judges did not just choose to be there with fake certificates; they are there by merit. Stop that nonsense of if something is not in your favor or the truth is told about an issue and it goes against you, then it is insults and foolish castigations. Bawumia is reminded to be truthful to himself and God. At his level of education, experience and the fact that he is a petitioner and not a defender, simple questions that require simple answers should be understood by him, if he indeed studied one time in the USA

Telling Bawumia that he's a doctor and he MUST "bring his mind to the court" is gross insult and unbecoming of a leading judge sitting on a case: Very personal and prejudicial indeed. He tried so hard to hide his hypocrisy, but naturally, it's just too hard to suppress instincts so there we go!

He MUST be circumspect because nobody is stupid: even my "illitrate" grandma was so sharp that as a multi-petty trader, she was always ahead of me and my siblings when she involved us to do some calculations at the end of her daily sales. Being a judge should not deceive Atuguba that he's the custodian of wisdom or intelligence or even shrewdness.

BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT, THERE WERE COMPETENT COURTS OF LAW in our traditions, and judges in those native courts used WISDOM, not imotions to keep the nation going till colonial Britain replaced them.

Ghanains are watching Agutuba. He has a responsibility and that task placed on him should be independent of his subjective thoughts. Nobody has put him there to DICTATE or express HIS personal OPINION to us, but rather he's there to use the LAW of the land, and FACT as presented by the petitioners to make judgement on this case.

This kind of "SHUT UP" and "SIT DOWN" marshall law court has NO PLACE in our democracy. The Supreme Court is no supreme as it sounds than the opinions of the people of Ghana that it serves.

Telling a counsel of a petitioner to "SIT DOWN" is gross intimidation and an attempt to stop the counsel from doing his job. This is NOT acceptable in our court of law.

If it wasn't the respondents' lawyers saying "SHUT UP" to Mr Addison, it'll be Atuguba ordering him to "SIT DOWN". What kind of bullying NONSENSE is that in our Supreme Court?

NPP's claim is supported by a huge population of Ghana, and that Agutuba MUST equally BRING HIS MIND CLOSELY to that FACT or the matter, and conduct himself accordingly, to the case before him. Serious minded and descerning citizens will NOT entertain his subjective declarations in our court. Atuguba should NOT fool himself that he's smarter than everybody out there!! Enough said!!
