its very refreshing news to learn that at long last the Konkombas and Bimobas who have been at each others throat during the past 10,15 or yeras (Gruma)have finally smoked the peace pipe. WANEP needs to be congratulated but also and more importantly, the main actors, the waring factions ought to be commended for agreeing to disagree in the use of violence in resolving their differences.
I urge WANEP to draw from their rich experience in peace making and peace building and also take clues from Bawku and Nkonya-Alavanyo disputes and to guide it to facilitate a time tested and lasting solution this chronic dispute which is woeing not only investors away but more importantly our own teachers, nurses, Agric extention officers etc are also refusing postings to the area.
My go again to the waring factions to come out with the main problems so that a lasting solution can be reached.
If it true that it is a parcel of land that is the root cause of the problem then we must put politics aside pronounce the true owners of the land and law and order prevail. Definitely the two ethnic groups can not own the land at the same time.

Misunderstanding wont led us all to no where.The end result would be protracted state of emity and killings.However the issue is,do we need to developmental advancement at all? Yes,then even though we all know the roots for all these is poverty.We should strif to be lee dependent on land resoucres.There is urgent need for all these conflict areas generations to develop their human capabilities through EDUCATION.If the northners have come up to this point ,then it is highly possible that these two Voltarians learn out of that.

My brothers and sisters, it is quite regrettable to see my dear Konkombas Bimobas communities up-in-arms over a parcel of land. The elders have failed us that is why all these things are happening today. At least we should tell and pass on the right values and information to avert all these barbaric things. If we are told it is abominable to fight one another, though quarrelling may emerge among us as people in life, but not killing. My appeal is that lets stop saying Konkombas and Bimobas war, since it is just some two communities who certainly will resolve this matter once and for all.
