If you think that, just after that sub-standard cross examination of ONLY the petitioners' witness, the judges have gathered "enough evidence" as you put it, to rule aginst the petitioners, then you lack what it takes to comment on this issue.

Before & After, remember that before this case began both petitioners and respondents were summoned by the supreme court to come up with how the case should proceed to avoid unnecessary delays, a standard was set and both parties agreed upon. Every one ,thus the respondents and the petitioners were asked each to put their evidence in the form of affidavit and each must provide a witness not after the fact. At the end of the case the judges verdict will be based on the evidence at hand. His insistence to get his own way and arrogant display of disrespect for others does not make him a great trial lawyer. For him to have the ethical courage to say openly that he cant be compelled to do what the court wishes makes the judge seem weak and displaced - not in charge.

Tsatsu's stumbling struggle to end his lengthy cross examination, the disappointing somber looks of his learned friends and a sigh of relief from the bench, were expressive epitome of time wasted and failure to deliver a punch weighty enough to derail a determined opponent from a position fortified with consistency and youthful resilience. The Bawumian spirit was undoubtedly dominant in a battle of words, repetitious demands for answers and adamant display of arrogant persistency by a counsel whose apparent demeanour exhibited signs of frustration and anger; popular characteristics of senile fatigue.

Tsatsu's digression into a territory reserved for summation quickly subjected him to riducle from the audience and rebuke by the bench. In all indications the scale tilted when he droped his lastwords out of frustration and exhausted facts - but they were words to suggest a come-back for more cross-examination, a distasteful expectation met with chagrin of the audience. How could such an intelligent mind overlook the necessity to wear helmet of facts before jumping into a gruesome legal traffic ? Why must this personality defy all odds to take us beyond horizons of roller-coaster expectations, all in search of tools to defend the indefensible ?

At some point it was hard to believe if this was that long awaited legal luminary, under so much expectation to be armed with some high-tech legal weapons to cause terrifying inferno, enough to make witnesses burn in their seats and make petitioners run helter skelter in search of hiding places. From the looks of events it was a complete disillusion. Tsatsu was such a disappointment that the court room which was initially jammed with his fans in audience when he began mounting a defense settled with half empty seats as he bored them with his pink sheets and humdrum orthodox style of cross examination. In the end he emerged tamed and gored into submission.

Today he is court pleading with hopes to cross-examine vulnerable witnesses with unrelated relevance to the issue at heart. All to redeem his lost glory. Pitiful

I terribly miss Johnny Cochrane : may he rest in peace.

Popularity death, akin to the natural, is a cruel but impartial extractor of giants from heights of admiration : it spares none when its bells toll for an end.

Unless these judges think that they have made up their mind,how can they not refuse to allow witnesses whose evidence the respondents consider to be vital to their case.It is always in the interest of justice that parties in a suit are given equal platforms to advance their case.Even legal luminaries like Tsatsu could be unbalanced by such unfavourable decisions and that reflected subsequently in his approach to the bench.He was obviously infuriated by the decision and was rightly called to order by the judges.

The judges control the court room and sometimes their decisions are made for a reason.No matter how unhappy you are,you must respect their judgment on these matters.Tsatsu was obviously peeved which did not help his reputation today and his attitude could only be described as unfortunate. His case is made and therefore must take his time prosecute the rest.You can't ask for too much.

This is just dreams by NDC. The Court has taken firm control of the proceedings; they won't tolerate any delay tactics by Tsatsu Tsikata anylonger. That's the message which must be clear to NDC and all.

The case before the court is not for jokes; election fraud is a serious matter and nobody should try to make fun about it. Nana Akufo-Addo & Co., are seeking to correct all the wrongs in our electoral system.

Rigging of elections has been a big problem to Ghana, since 1992. When the court finds out that indeed the elections was rigged as a result of the evidence proveded by the petitioners, John Mahama will be asked to vacate the seat of the president.

You always try to fling the court directives and try to do your own thing-(arrogance). Your attitude to the judicial regulations, if a lawyer is on his feet and another lawyer stands up the former is to sit down; is not for Tsatsu- (disrespect). Insulting language should not be used in court yet Tsatsu don't care he continually use them and at times when prompted to withdraw he refuses-(sounding abusive). It was only today, Thursday 15th May 2013 Tsatsu decided to reluctantly withdraw unaccepted word he used in court.

The world would not collapse if NDC etc or Nana and Co. wins or lose this court case.
However, the damage Tsatsu willdo to his image could not be erased easily.
A word to the wise is enough.

The Obama administration’s position on Africa might be a reaction to this year’s OAU/AU 50th Anniversary celebration, or better yet China’s increasingly large African footprint. No clear Africa policy has emerged during Obama’s second term.

Kerry recently let it be known that in May he plans on attending this year’s AU Summit in Addis Ababa. He also said, without giving details, that Obama also plans to go to Africa.

What is revealing is four months into Kerry’s tenure the State Department, especially its Africa Bureau, appears to still be trying to find its legs.

A large number of senior State Department positions remain vacant, including the Obama administration’s top envoy to Africa post. Ambassador Johnny Carson, assistant secretary of state for African Affairs, retired in March. The post is currently being run by Acting Assistant Secretary Don Yamamoto, a Foreign Service officer. National Security Counsel Senior Director Gayle Smith is rumored to be in the running for the top Africa post. In addition other Africa posts, including the special envoy for Sudan, remain vacant.

ForeignPolicy.com believes Obama and his team “are determined to control it all.” He’s obviously not going to give Kerry the same controls over the State Department that he succumbed to giving Hillary Clinton. “The Cable” blog, which appears on ForeignPolicy.com, included a piece titled “Nobody home at the State Department,” which suggests the “process to fill (senior State Dept. positions) seems indefinitely stalled.”

Whatever this means it doesn’t bode well for developing a cohesive African policy. In March Obama excluded Nigeria, one of Africa’s most influential nation states—also the continent’s most populous—from attending the White House summit. The slight was Obama’s way of registering his displeasure over the recent pardon granted embattled former Bayelsa State Governor D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha.

This was done in face of the fact that, not only does Section 175 of Nigeria’s constitution allow a presidential pardon, but the Council of State advised the president “to grant him (a pardon).” Alamieyeseigha was convicted of stealing and laundering public funds. Not only did he return the stolen funds, according to the Nigerian Vanguard, he also “pleaded guilty and served out his eight year (prison) term.”

Obama’s slight to Nigeria and African leaders falling over themselves for a White House invitation speaks to a divided Africa and to an Africa unwilling or unable to police its own affairs.

Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan addressing 19 African heads of state at the 1993 African African-American Summit in Gabon stated, “We don’t think like free men.” “We go to the capitals of America and Europe, like paupers, (too) weak to demand or ask for what unjust regimes will never give,” he said.

Nkrumah, in his seminal work “Neo-colonialism the last stage of imperialism,” explained how so-called independent states are controlled by outside powers. “The essence of neo-colonialism is that the state which is subject to it is, in theory, independent and has all the outward trappings of international sovereignty. In reality, its economic system and thus its political policy is directed from outside.”

Unless Africa develops its potential power through a unified continent, as advocated by Nkrumah, and gains control of its natural resources, Min. Farrakhan warned, “We will never achieve what we desire for our people … We have the pomp and circumstances of real power, but beneath it there is no real substance.”

Kpegah acted as the Chief Justice of Ghana following the death of George Kingsley Acquah on 25 March 2007 which Kpegah was the brain behind. He thought he would be confirmed as CJ but Nana & Kuffour appointed of Georgina Theodora Wood on 15 June 2007 as the new Chief Justice

At a point in time one of the judges had to warn him today to mind his words after asking him whethere he was angry with himself. There has been so many rulings against him, this Tsikata is losing the case for NDC and I will not be surprised.
