AFRICANS who have to pay for accomodation, visa, stay in China to by the products that were "exploited" from Africa including Ghana.

So at the end the Chinese make more profit than the africans who have to import the the "stolen" products.

sometimes i ask myself if we africans are blind to see the opportunities we have on our dear continent.

Poor chinese, Indians, Lebanese etc. can come to our dear continent and turn into millionaires while we africans continue to starve.

Many people say that necessity is the mother of all inventions

but what do we see today despite the whole water, electricity problems?
Why are we not having water, electritcity companies which are supplying these basic necessities.

people still complain about the terrible infrastructure?

but dont we have architects and engineers?

Can people not form associations to make their voices heard and to be heard?

Nowadays many newspapers say that africa is an emerging market.

But we must ask ourselves do AFRICANS PROFIT FROM IT ? CAN AFRICANS FOLLOW THER INTERESTS AND IS THE CONTINENTS VOICE HEARD?

If u look at the bigger pictue it the non africans companies who are proffiting.

And for africa to be an merging markets u need

1 an (african centered)education
and high numbers of literate adults and youth
2 good infrastructure
3 basic neccesities

Another failure is african leadership. They too complain about the problems africa has and want to propagate african values but do the opposite- they bribe, they conusme european products and go to such an extent that they even practice european values.

So africans we really have to wake up.

Who cares how they are doing it? What Ghanaians and our so-called government ought to do is halt all small scale mining processes until such a time the government can ascertain what chemicals are being used to expose gold nuggets from the soil. It is imperative the government knows and understand the extent of pollution and environmental damage being caused by these activities and the long term effects on communities downstream from these mining areas. Why should we care if they are successful at mining or not?
Was it not our government agency that gave out work visas to these Chinese? Was it not our government that was willing to grant Ghanaian citizenship to foreigners because they promised to create jobs through small scale mining? What we must remind ourselves each day in Ghana is our insatiable appetite for foolishness at abnormally higher rate than other nations.
It really behooves me and others with logical processes of thinking to know that our governments, from J.J. Rawlings, through Kufour, Atta Mills and the current president, do sell everything their political party cronies and tribal preferences cannot manage or warp their pea brains around to foreign companies only to see people with average intellect come in and use the same Ghanaian labor force on the cheap to make money while we sit around like the ultimate fools licking our wounds. Are these Chinese smarter than Ghanaians? If the answer is yes then why not allow China to enslave us all over again so we can have something to eat. It is the very same mental set that we used under J.J Rawlings to bring in Malaysians to run our own P&T but only to be sold to Vodafone by a lazy Kufour. It is allowing Mills and Mahama to allow the Chinese also to show us how incompetent we are at attaining mastery of our own destiny.

As a No Borders internationalist, I've no objection to foreigners working in Ghana too, so long as the exchange is reciprocal. But I must admit I was surprised at the number of 50,000 Chinese said to be working in the small-scale mining sector alone.

There is no qs left as to the revolutionary skills they have brought to the sector, which are clearly a boon to the gold mining sector in Ghana and to some local people.

What is needed is a serious regulation of these private operators - the chiefs and businessmen - who are bringing in these Chinese and are behind them. These poor Chinese are unjustifiably getting all the blows from the xenophobic attacks, whereas they are also mere preys in an international spiderweb of Big Men exploiting the natural resources of Ghana with reckless abandon.

Asiedu Nketiah aka General Mosquito is showing that he has simplistic mind and not worth to be making decisions on behalf of any party or country. If 100 ballot papers are issued and you find 110 ballots papers in the box after counting, you take ten out or what he terms "unidentified materials" How do you identify undentify materials when all the ballot papers look the same? How do you select the ten that should be thrown out? The ten votes for Mahama or ten votes for Nana Akuffo Addo or you take five of each candidate? What about if you have one candidate with 102 of the votes and another one with just three votes? How do you decide which votes to take out? Folks, not only is it possible you can have one candidate having 102 of the votes and another having only three. It happened a lot in Volta region where Mahama in some polling stations was getting 302 votes, Akuffo Addo with five and other candidates having zeros.

This is the guy Ndc has been praising to know the laws of the electoral commission even than Afari Gyan. That is not how the electoral law stipulates in the scenerio Lawyer Addison presented. The EC law stipulates that, in such a scenerio as lawyer Addison presented, the whole 110 votes should be discarded, that is it should not be part of the final count to judge who won the election. Is Asiedu Nkwtiah paying for his illiterate description of over voting?

Now let's complicate the scenerio given by Lawyer Addison and Asiedu Nketiah's simpleton answer. Let's assume Mahama gets 100 of the 110 votes, Akuffo Addo, 4, Nduom, 3, Ayariga, 2 and CPP 1, how do you sellect the ten that should be discarded? Maybe genius Asiedu has devised a mathemathecal formula about how to tackle that problem and we are all ears waiting to hear from him. What a comic this cassava stick is.
