It is obvious that our system of voting is a blend of antiquity and technology. Antiquity for reliance of clerical inputs and technology for usage of identifying tools vulnerable to clerical manipulation. We must accept the intertwine and extricate a workable process from it. One good outcome of this hearing is a public education of where reform is needed in our electoral process to block loopholes and porosities which may offer undue advantages for manipulation. It has also set a high standard of behaviour worthy of emulating in all contests that national interest supercedes personal or party gains. The credit goes to Nana Addo and his party.

I am of the opinion that The Otumfuo's courtesy call is more psychological than mere attempt to advise Nana Addo to accept a verdict.

The Otumfuo, in other words, is telling the other side that this guy is pledging to accept it therefore you must also accept it and behave likewise.

From the looks of things it is hard to dispute that there were serious anomalies and irregularities not yet defended by the respondents. Tsikata's defense based upon mislabelling of affidavits is immpressional rather than relational to submitted allegations. He tries to drive a wedge into petitioner's allegation by creating impression that he lacks credibility but he muddles it by accepting the very allegations because he claims they should have been objected to by officials representing the petitioners. In this scenario who carries the penalty - the watchman who failed to see the perpetrator or the accused perpetrator ?

The case was scheduled to be tried before the justice of the peace in the back room of the general store.

The attorney for the railroad immediately cornered the rancher and tried to get him to settle out of court. The lawyer did his best selling job, and finally the rancher agreed to take half of what he was asking.
