When are we going to start using our God given brains to do something for ourselves and our Nation, and stop relying on others for almost everything?
We have a proverb in Akan which say"the back of your hand can never be delicious, than your palm.
Lets think of Ghana first and stop all this greedness.

A lawyer opened the door of his Honda Accord, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely. When the police arrived at the scene, the lawyer was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious Honda. "Officer, look what they've done to my Hondaaaa!!!", he whiningly said. "You lawyers are so materialistic, you make me sick!!!" retorted the officer, "You're so worried about your stupid Honda, that you didn't even notice that your left arm was ripped off!!!" "Oh my god....", replied the lawyer, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was, "Where's my Rolex?

"On the apparent contradiction between the plan of the ministry and that of the AMA, Ms Attivor dismissed that suggestion .....". The AMA and MOT are both government departments. How come they are individually coming out with their own plans about the same issue, claiming them to be governments plans for the affected location.
These politicians are just empty barrels - they make the most noises! It is about time Ghanaians are taken seriously, because they people have taken us for granted for far too long, andnthey will continue to do the same if we do not stand up and put them in their proper places. The minister is telling us that the traders had been served notices of the government's intentions. The AMA should have been aware of the situation before their chief came out to make his declaration of rebuilding the market. I suppose he was aware of the total plan, but decided to shelve the component about revamping the railway terminal so as to please the traders. One would suppose the grant/loan from Brazil was being handled by government, too. It is all confusing. But one day, one day, the truth will all come out. And we will all know whether the AMA or, in fact, government, knew something about the suspected arson attack om Kantamanto!

IN order to bring amicable solution to the burnt Kantamanto market sad and simingly controversial episode,it is my candid opinion that, all the interested parties, viz,the ministry of transport cum the Ghana Railways corporation on one side, the AMA headed by its Executive chairman Dr Vanderpuye and Kantamanto Market Association,s representatives meet to find an amicable solution to end the impasse which will not side line any group that may deeping the problem further.I wish also to state that all the other partners of this case must not forget the painful ordeal facing the Kantamanto squarters for loosing every thing to the extent of some of them going to face huge debts to be settled as a results of this loss

The burden lied on the traders to verify the ownership of the land before going into any leasing agreement with Railways Authority. You don't buy a stolen property and, if found out, heads to court to claim ownership. In my opinion, the land belongs to the Gbese family if they can proof that the original lease with railways authority is expired. As for the AMA and the ministries, they have no legal grounding or basis to lay claim to the property

The present Accra Railway Station is due to be redeveloped. It will create a bigger and better first-rate impression to visitors arriving in Accra. The redevelopment is to include a new car park.
