What is the sense in hiding a list from the Presiding Member.

It was Nauseating to listen to Anita De Sossou, on radio, this morning.For any question she was asked, or for any time she was given to make a contribution, she straight away attacked NPP and Nana Akuffo Addo.

How can Ghana move forward, with people like these??

This is a great pity. It appears all is not well at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly where some members were clearly against Kojo Bonsu, the president's appointed Mayor right from the start.

This seems to be playing out now in the open and I may be wrong, but my sense is that there is a clear determination to make it difficult for him to do his job. If not, why would the issue of a letter circulated (before or not before) regarding committee members degenerate into a "slanging match" involving two leaders?

These actions are not in the best interests of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly nor the citizens of Kumasi who I am sure wish to see peace and progress in their city, currently bedeviled with reprisal killings of gangs and robbers.

Shall we focus on the important issues and work together to tackle them instead, please?

Can you imagine an 'NPP-elected Mayor or Chief Executive ever co-operation with a national govt headed by an NDC president, or vice versa. I can even anticipate a situation where even a same party 'renegade' MMCE/DCE would choose to 'flex' his muscles and do his own thing in order to 'frustrate' a sitting president. I will appeal to both factions to put the political affiliations aside and be more professional in the dealings with each other. They should remember that they are public servants and their remit is to provide services and facilities for the well being of the good people of Kumasi. I am fed up with politicians thinking the positions they hold are bigger than the people they were appointed to come and serve. I will humbly refer Messrs Bonsu and Senya to the current fate of Koku Anyidoho. They should note that they donot have to like each other to get along, and should simply get on with the job. The people of my beloved Oseikrom deserve better. Senya and Bonsu should put their heads together and find long lasting sustainable solutions to the current problems engulfing Ghana's second city. They should emulate the hard work of Nana Prempeh II and James Owusu who did their best to turn Kumasi into a Garden City. Together Senyah and Bonsu can do it.
