  the authorities need to act urgently to bring d exchange rate to one cedis:1.5 dollars. this continued fall of the cedi is not helpful to the economy.

  now when i send $50 they get almost 100 cedi..So even tho imports have increased, western union inflow has increased

  Mass trade liberisation in the form of imports,dollarisation of the economy of property,goods / services ,speculation /uncertainities of ruling of Npp/Ndc court case ,repatriation of foreign investors profits and ever ghanaians hungry and thirsty for foreign currencies than the local currency always make the cedi looking down.Until we change our behavour and altitude towards the cedi and respect it couple with bank of ghana interventions to rescue it ,all ghanaians shall lose their respect as the cedi depreciates faster to the major foreign currencies.

  Our EXPORT BASE is too narrow!Unless we work HARDER and manufacture more,our cedi is going nowhere!!

  who will invest in over-valued currency? watch countries like china whose currency has been so low against the dollar. when given the chance, i will make the cedi a GOLD-STANDARD.

  This is where I have a lot of respect for ex-President Kuffour. It is when the cedi hits 10 to the dollar shall we be in a position to realise how the NDC is killing the country.
