When the EC chairman was seriously drumming home that NVNV, it was tantamount to a by-law since EC is an autonomous institution. Now, if the EC failed to impliment its own rule, the consequences as a result, MUST apply if our laws could be taken SERIOUSLY.

Let's face the truth and for ONCE respect rule of law so Africa will be governable.

Per your argument that must be a cheap shot to the presidency. Laws or pronouncements by individuals in positions of trust are not stone walls or boulders that cannot be crashed when the need arises. On this note your argument lacks steam in the sense that Afari Gyan at the time of those proclamation never anticipated a break down of some of those machines. And so the question is what next after they were caught up in that which they did not make room for. Well, human beings are rational souls endowed with vast array of problem solving talents. Under that circumstance therefore the electoral officials cannot afford to be robots and only restricted with robotic functioning. The law then is amenable to suit current and challenging circumstances. I do not see the electoral commission erring in anyway granting individuals who have lined up for hours to vote the chance
to do so. After all matching photo ids is one and even most authentic validation criteria and so why not? God bless Ghana and long live our democracy.

While I agreed with the fact that it is the duty of the EC to conduct an election, I will like to know if it is within the powers of the EC to annul the vote of any legible voter? If the answer is no, then how can the non signing of a pink sheet or wrong data entering, by an EC official lead to annulment? What will happen if the EC also proved that it did not use the faulty figures but only use the actual votes accrued to the various candidates 'in their calculation' and so those administrative mistakes do not, in any way, allure to the benefit of any of the candidates, thus it did not help to deny anyone of his presidency?
