This man should be arrested for sharing the night with the minor in the same room. When I was growing up, men used to keep families noticed of a minor they intend to marry, when the girl grows up (Asiwa). They waited till the girl was of age. If the familes and this "man" wanted to correct the same this SMART 18-year old had brought on them, they could have done something in the form of "Asiwa" with this 13-year old girl. To take her as a wife and claiming to let her go after "using" her for about a week or so, is a crime. My question is, "WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE?"

Laws were made for the good of the society, do people know, or understand these laws? have they been informed about the changes?. In Ghana today ,majority of the people do not know their rights, because the laws were made for the lawyers,not for individual ghananians. Until people are better informed about the many laws in the society and their rights we will continue to hear these stories everyday. These laws should be interpretered to the understanding of all people not just a few. The media houses should be inform the citizens about their freedom of expression ,equal rights and justice, criminal laws and others .Take for instance the marriage ordnance ,we have the police protecting the womens right ,what about the mans right in the marriage which is silent. But the law give men also the right to enter into marriage with waver ,which allows him to keep all his properties.
