If any CEPS personnel thinks s(he)is not being paid well they should find other jobs. They are not compelled to work for CEPS or for that matter, any government agency.

MEANWHILE, GHANA HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST NUMBER OF ECONOMICS PROFESSORS IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE WHOSE ONLY JOB IS STAYING IN THEIR AIRCONDITIONED OFFICES CHATTING WITH THEIR GIRLFRIENDS AND CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOOTING THE STATE.

If Ghana is ever going to be well managed, this particular organisation will need to be overhauled; root and branch. Has the government the balls to do so? Well, if I were to be Mahama and NDC, I would because that move will open the chocked system and address the chronic and wholesale corruption we are experiencing everywhere.
The government will then see how brisk businesses will operate and business will also enjoy liberalied manifestations across board. There will be efficiency everywhere and revenues will be always handy to repair roads etc. If Mahama should aim to leave any legacy for the NDC, this should be it; for, gone will be the days when a simple saloon car will cost billions to tax and no more will creative business-minded Ghanaians be frustrated by selfish custom officials at ports and harbours.
If this government wants to be electable, that is if it should have its own identity, then this is one area it must COMPLETELY OVERHAUL. It will undoubtedly be difficult to take on such a habitually corrupt and entrenched group but it could also a highly rewarding in terms of social, economic and political needs of the country.

BY THE WAY, WHERE DID THE NDC GOV'T GET THE MILLIONS OF CEDIS FROM TO PAY WOYOME & ALL THE OTHERS AS SETTLEMENT DEBT? THE LITTLE THAT THE 'CORRUPT CEPS OFFICIALS' COLLECTED IS STOLEN & SHARED AMONG PARTY MEMBERS, INCLUDING U (GHANANI). SHUT YOUR DIRTY & FILTHY MOUTH & ADVICE YOUR LEADERS TO UTILISE THE LITTLE THAT WAS COLLECTED INTO THE CONSOLIDATED FUND. BY THE WAY ARE U AWARE THAT THE RLG LAPTOPS ARE GIVEN $60.00 AS THE COST PRICE BY THE GOV'T? THAT IS A GOOD SOURCE OF LEAKAGE

The Kuffour NPP Government induced most of these judgment debts inherited by the NDC Government. These are judgments handed down by reputable international courts, and these debts must be honoured. Of course, the NDC Government is obliged, to pay for these debts from the taxes collected from the Ghanaian tax payer, who, sadly has been done in, in the past, by the so-called "rule of law NPP" bigots.

How long will the shake-up last, and who will do the shake-up? The right approach is constructive questioning to understanding the problems and constructive answers to solving it.
1. How effective is CEPS' internal controls?
2. How manual is their system of operation?
3. What can be done to modernize their operations through technology and minimize human intervention.
4. How much will it cost us to modernizse the operation verses maintaining the status-quo?
The foregoing is problem solving strategies not fear mongering.
