Even for the biometric case had it not been the insitence of one political party the EC would not have done the verification part.

Evil Afari Djan's stuborness, corruption and stupidy has threw our nation into total state of chaos and
place fears into the majority people of this nation.
If anything at all, it will be NDC who
will spark the danger because Yaw Boateng Djan(another monkey Djan) has
vowed that if the Supreme Court verdict goes against NDC and corrupt
Mahama they (NDC) will plunge this
nation into the State of Anarchy, confusion and disarray.
Fellow country men and women, Yaw

Reports reaching Daily Guide indicate that KPMG, the reputable international accounting firm chosen by all the parties to count the number of pink sheets used as exhibits in the landmark presidential election petition, has found 13,900 of the documents.
It was unclear as at the time of going to press if the exercise had been completed, but it was likely to confirm the petitioners’ case that they indeed, attached the 11,842 as exhibits.
The Contention
The issues of how many pink sheets were attached as exhibits in the case became very contentious with the respondents insisting that they did not receive all the further and better particulars as directed by the court.
The request to count the pink sheets was initially made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before the court. With the consent of all the parties in the petition, an order was given by the court for an independent referee to conduct the exercise.
Just as KPMG commenced the exercise in the presence of two observers each from the parties as ordered by the court, the NDC, through its lead counsel Tsatsu Tsikata, came out with a story that the exhibits had been compromised and that the boxes containing the pink sheets had increased from 24 to 31.
In fact, the allegation over whether or not the boxes of the exhibits had been tampered with started right after the court’s sitting on Monday, May 20, when news broke that Mr Tsikata, Tony Lithur who represents President John Mahama and later James Quarshie-Idun representing the Electoral Commission (EC), had gate-crashed the venue for the counting and requested the Supreme Court panel chairman Justice William Atuguba to review the order of the court.
According to Mr Tsikata, there were alleged criminalities involved and as a result, they would prefer an extended control mechanism that would take into consideration copies served on at least two panel members to compare that with the pink sheets at the court’s registry.
The issue of whether the petition was being unduly delayed had come up strongly since Mr Tsikata took over the cross-examination of the principal witness, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also the 2nd petitioner.

There will be no war in Ghana because we have a sworn In Sitting President. No verdict can change this; it has never happened in Ghana and it will not happen. No Verdict can change the votes of innocent Ghanaians and no one will unsit President Mahama, not even JJ Rawlings and his witch Konadu Can do that; No army dare try any stupid thing because the CONCERNED GROUP will pluck them out one after the other. We are serious because we are a very DANGEROUS Secret Group comprising of all the Regions of Ghana who have sworn to pluck out any Political Mafia, or entity who would dent the peace image of Ghanaians. Dr Afari Gyan has declared many Presidents from different political parties so we will not allow anyone or Court Case to Change the Peacefull Electoral Tradition Ghana has enjoyed. Nana Akufo Addo, should know that Ghana is bigger than him and since he is in love with All Die Be Die, we will visit him with his own All Die Be Die should the Court declare him President. The Chief Justices who will declare him will be plucked out. The Chief Justices has no right hearing an Election Case to which a President Elect has been Sworn in by the CHIEF JUSTICE of the nation that we cannot trust the Legibility of the Supreme Court again? How can we trust the Highest Court who compromises with a political Party in disputing what our laid down constitution enshrine? How can we trust their judgement if they are not sure whether swearing in President Mahama is right or not? How can the Chief Justices be Infringing on President Mahama's Rights? we now understand clearly why JJ Rawlings killed some of the judges. Why should Chief Justice be a political fanatics a particular Female Chief Justice has shown to the public that she is for Akufo Addo; There is no sense in dieing fo Akufo Addo, so she should be very careful but if she wants to prove that she is a tough woman we will help her to be tough. We are only fighting a just course; we will never allow any elected Sworned in President, irrespective of Tribal, Political Religious Affiliation to be deprived of his constitutional Rights; We don't want the court to determine ones rights since they are themselves Corrupt. We are well prepared, no one should dare the President. We will not allow what happened to Atta Mills, happen to Mahama.

The fact that no party in the past complained as is being done now does not mean Afari Djan's previously supervised elections were not without hiccups. In the past the man got away with wrongdoing and became swollen-headed. We were all witnesses to the way the man arrogantly repelled suggestions from stakeholders during the period leading to the elections and here we are. He least thought that any political party would challenge his wrong-doing as he had in the past got away with it. Any uproar (God forbid)in this country should be blamed on this man who got so swollen-headed because past elections were declared by foreign observers who only came here on sight-seeing and earned their per-diem from their Organizations and thus did gloss over his evil deeds and even promoting him to serve in other jurisdictions as a resource person. It is all these that got into his head and he thus decided to behave the way he did as a result of which all Ghananians now find themselves sitting on tenterhooks. GOD HELP ALL OF US!

Ghanaians are fatigued from military interventions in Ghana, but this unsavory and uncontrollable appetite for political power may derail our infant democracy—but for the worse.
If one listens to what goes on Ghana radio stations, reads newspapers and pay attention to public discourse, one can only conclude that many Ghanaians are politically immature and indulge in political illiteracy and attacks, political vindictiveness aka payback, arrogance, corruption, laziness, incompetence, buffoonery and aggressive love for power. What the heck is wrong with these fools?
If these politicians don't STOP this eagerness for political power, after the Supreme Court's verdict, the military will certainly fill in the vacuum and grab power at the expense of the feuding politicians—and, to me, that will serve them well!!

The rest of the issues such as the image of the Electoral Commission and instability in Ghana, these are dependent on a number of factors such as, what the Justices say as well as their final decision. Therefore, only time will tell.

DR. JONAH'S ANALYSIS OR VIEWS DO NOT INTGRIGUE ME. GHANA WILL ALWAYS BE GHANA. EVEN THE REVOLUTIONS OF RAWLINGS DID NOT CHANGE GHANA. SOMEBODY HAS SENT A CASE TO COURT SAYING THAT HE HAS BEEN ROBBED IN AN ELECTION. THE COURT WILL AT THE END OF THEIR INVESTIGATIONS DECLARE ONE OF TWO THINGS: EITHER THE ELECTIONS WERE FAIR OR THE ELECTIONS WERE RIGGED. IF THE COURT DELCARES THAT THE ELECTION WERE RIGGED MAHAMA WILL BE ASKED TO STOP RECEIVING HIS SALARY AND GO FIND SOME JOB TO DO. THE NDC SUPPORTERS SHOULD START ORGANIZING FOR THE NEXT ELECTIONS. IF HOWEVER, THE NPP LOSES THE CASE, I EXPECT THEM TO APOLOGISE TO THE WHOLE COUNTRY, INCLUDING MYSELF. THEY SHOULD DECIDE WHETHER THEY STILL WANT AKUFFO ADDO TO LEAD THEM TO THE NEXT BATTLE. EITHER WAY, NO FOOL OR IDIOT SHOULD DREAM TO CONTINIUING WITH THE INSULTS. NO ONE SHOULD DREAM OF GOING ON TO THE STREETS. NO ONE SHOULD GO TO THE PUBLIC AND TRY TO PUT A SPIN ON THE COURTS DECISION. NO ONE SHOULD INCITE ANY LOSER. THOSE WHO WILL BECOME UNEMPLOYED SHOULD GO LOOK FOR SOMETHING TO DO. SOME JOURNALISTS I KNOW WILL TRY TO SET THE CLOCK BACK. THEY SHOULD BE WARNED AND IF ANYONE THINKS GHANA SHOULD BE UNGOVERNABLE BECAUSE THOSE THEY SUPPORT ARE NOT IN POWER OWUSU BEMPAH AND JOSHUA SHOULD PRAY AND SEND THEM TO THEIR MAKER AHEAD OF THEIR SCHEDULED DEATH. MOST IMPORTANTLY THE SPECIAL FORCES WHO FRIGHTEN US AT THE INDEPENDENT SQUARE AT THEIR PARADES SHOULD BE UNLEASHED ON TO THE STREETS TO DEAL SQAURELY WITH ANYONE WHO DISTURBS THE PEACE. BUT GHANA WILL ALWAYS BE GHANA IN THE END.

Use a Business Intelligence system to avoid the supreme court issues in future
These systems can work by having all the 26 thousand polling stations on an online data base. Anybody in the country with the software can then click on region, then the districts, collation centers then the individual polling stations. For each of the above all the information on the pink sheets can be entered and then summarized up the hierarchy described above.
Additional features such as scanners can be added to the system to capture copies of the pink sheets, validation rules can automatically reject over voting and total registered voters can be added. All this can be done on real time basis so progress of the counting can be monitored as and when they occur
Costs will be reasonable as even the MTN CLOUD system can be adopted to produce such an effective system

There is too much tension in the country. The situation is like a lighted match being drawn towards gun powder. Explosion !!!
The SC should not rule in favour of any party. Already there seems like the Judges at the supreme court are showing some sort of partisanship. In such a situation it is expected that the people of Ghana themselves decide the outcome. The petition case has really educated Ghanainaisn on the election issues and will do well in next voting where all the issues brought up will be looked into well. For PEACE to prevail in Ghana there is the need for a RUN OFF off for the masses to decide for themsolves instead of SC ruling in favour of one party. Ghana must be very careful for things look very bleak ahead.Hmm!!!

I strongly think the outcome of the ongoing historic Supreme Court case will rather make Ghana much more united and stronger a country than before as the court case will expose some of the ills in our justice systems, national security, electoral laws and our general socio-political out-looks that will call for amendments to correct the wrongs for us to move on as one and strong respected people and nation.
The most important here is, we should all be grateful to the leaderships of both the two major political parties agreeing to disagree to go to court to sort out any political misunderstandings and differences by the laws of the land peacefully and amicably rather than sending us all into the unfortunate horrible Kenyan and the Ivory Coast bloody ways.
As a nation lets all pray that at the end of it all, mother Ghana and her children will be the winner. Period!!!

After the SC ruling, the government should go straight into action; that is, if and when things go in their favour. Government departments should be overhauled and purged starting with No. 1 - Customs & Excise, 2 - Land Registry, 3 – Churches; along with their pastors, 4 - Immigration and 5 - corruption in public office. And, Mahama will need to improve work conditions not just for people who go on strike but for all workers which means that he may need to resist the trademark ‘sikadicious’ attitudes of MPs, resist professional strikes and instead, strengthen departments with universal increments that fit proportionally into our national wage and inflation policy. Equally, Mahama should endeavour to sack lazy and bribe taking officials to show all the need to value their jobs and livelihood, sack MDs, CEO and people in authority to justify hard work, responsible leadership, accountability and propriety.
On their part, the opposition should critically scrutinise government contracts, negotiations, loan agreements, awarding of contracts etc. The opposition can rightfully win elections next time round if they work tirelessly with an eye to correct government anomalies.
If Mahama is not firm, the NDC will lose next time round. This is because Attah messed up big time and the NDC cannot blame the electorate if they fail to be resolute and firm this time round. This is what Ghanaians want and need – fair distribution of the national cake be they NDC, NPP or other. Mahama will need to be exceptional and excellent; it will not be enough to be just good.

Kwesi, let's us be positive. Kenya did not collapse as many predicted. What is important is the recommendations to make elections free and transparent and for the smaller parties and independents to have a meaningful share in the electoral process. Elections must create the environment that would lead to real development, reduce the systematic mass corruption across the country and the development of the productive base of the economy. Thus good political parties are needed today. Good leaders are needed today. And more women in governance at national and local levels.
It was Napoleon Bonaparte, the great French ruler who once said that: 'Every soldier carries the baton of a Marshal in his knapsack'. I would say every Ghanaian carries the baton of peace. Forward to a popular democratic Republic. Kwesi, look east, Kenya is up and running. Forward Ever!

Dr. Jonah's assertion may hold some water. But the fact of modern times Ghanaian politicians is that they don't have the integrity to solve problems of the nation. Those who do are often imbued with corruption and dishonesty. This election petition shall, regardless of the outcome, put some fear and caution into the politician and other managers of national resources and assets and liabilities. For example the Woyome case. The Woyome case has taken a dramatic turn against him partly due to the ongoing supreme court election petition. And obviously many more cases of national interest shall be handled with absolute care.

So far the goal of politicians is to make money with their self interest the only thing that counts then we are in for trouble. We need to cut down the incentives where people are going to public servicing for the wrong reasons.

Ghana will not enter into any civil unrest after the Supreme Court ruling. If the verdict goes to NPP or NDC, Ghana will remain the same. Trust me, no one will shed no blood if the ruling goes against his party. Though there will be hectic discussions all over the nation but in the long run, serene atmosphere will reign.
Nana Addo had said that he not shed a drop of blood to win power else, he will not go to the court to file for petition. That said, we should not let a single individual have all the power to push us into some trouble. The powers vested in the electoral commission, is too much. He needs some supervision from some civil organization.
The president had said that the petition will have some effect on our democratic credentials. It will test our resolve if we really have the gut to accept whatever the outcome maybe.
Kenya went through the same election petition and the naysayers predicted a gloom doom scenario buy what did we see? The opposition accepted the verdict and they are going about their business as usual. Why can't Ghana do the same or we should invite some unforeseen circumstances on us for the International community to label us savages, brutes, uncouth hordes, cannibals just because we are Africans who cannot manage their own affairs? I hope not. Let's grow because we are too old to act foolishly.

When Al Gore did not like the vote count in Miami Dade, he went to the Supreme Court. Did Jonah also know about that? The only illness in Ghana's Supreme Court is that, it can take the next 3 years to count - and re-count - 10,000 votes. And they can allow a derailed, unproven lawyer to call 10,000 witnesses and ask the same question 10,000 time without question.

Thank you Dr. Jonah. This is the sort of discussion or talk the nation needs at this point in time. Plain facts, bold, rich and wise counselling/proposals.
I wish this man were a regular visitor to the GhanaWeb forum. He becomes a shining and worthy template for those who can't put their views across without being unnecessarily angry and vulgar.
The points raised should be hummed by all of us; politicians, foot soldiers, media practitioners, columnists, security men and women, contributors on GhanaWeb, serial callers, students, etc.
The tempo of such positive deliberations must be increasing by the day as time ticks for the Court ruling.
It is extremely important for every single august body e.g. Christian Council, Conference of Catholic Bishops, Moslem Council, NUGS, National Peace Council, all Civil Societies to take the baton.
The Asantehene (Otumfuo Osei Tutu II) and Dr. Jona among others have set the tone. It yields little fruit to be so loud when something negative has already happened. It could be too little too late for all such bodies and other respectable sons and daughters of the land to raise their voices to quell any disturbance of the peace and attempt to calm nerves should the unthinkable happens AFTER the ruling.
The time to do such talk and appealing to the nation is NOW! And daily it should until we become saturated with the call to put nation before self, bored and fed up with the call to wise up and embrace peace come what may after the Ruling! It is only at this "saturation" point that we can confidently assume every corner of the land, every soul of the land and every nerve cell of our nervous system are calmed and copiously conditioned for peace and not WAR!
I only stand opposed to the pessimism Dr. Jonah apparently expressed that Ghana will never be the same no matter how the ruling goes. If the never be the same means a significant change in our Electoral System and our political interactions I concur. I hope that's his mind. Should the never be the same connotes division, tension, chaos and hell breaking lose on the nation, I shudder to stall it and say it loud let us all do everything humanly possible to forestall it.
Our politicians should not lose sight of the fact that a four-year term is not all that there is to power. If it's not now , time and season happens to everyone under the sun.

It's good for the masses to be educated about the correct and right way of doing things and always promote excellency as the sine qua non for any effective and efficient delivery of processes and procedures geared towards our socio-economic development. The eventual adjudication of this case should engender the right attitude and right approach, to doing things in Ghana and not the haphazard, error ridden way which has become the hallmark of all our endeavors. We need the shock factor to jolt us all into reality. The various players both individual and corporate, clergy, CSO's etc, etc, need to educate the masses of this truth. There would be no upheaval, there would be no violence, but what we would see is a renewed consciousness of what is right and what is wrong and where we need to be as a country forging together to realize our development goals.

AKUFFO-ADDO AND HIS NPP ARE CHALLENGING THE RESULTS OF 2012 GENERAL EKECTION IN GHANA.
GHANAIANS ONLY HAVE TO QUESTION THEMSELVES, WHAT DID THE SO CALLED 'PATRIOTS' DO FOR THEM WHEN THEY WERE IN POWER FOR EIGHT YEARS.
THEY CORRUPTED THE NATION, STOLE THE IDENTITY OF GHANA, DESTROYED NATIONAL ENTERPRISES, GHANA AIRWAYS,GHANA RAILWAYS AND VALCO,etc, etc PARALYSED RURAL LIVELIHOODS AND SQANDERED THE FUTURE OF THE CHILDREN IN GHANA.
TO THEM TECNOLOGY AND INNOVATION TO STIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND TO GENERATE INCOME WWRE VERY FOREIGN TO THEM.
NEO-COLONIALISM.
WHAT THEY ARE PRESENTLY DOING TO THE NATION IS THE MOST SHAMEFUL ACT IN THE 21st CENTURY.
IT WAS THE SAME WICKED STRATEGIES THAT WERE PRACTICED BEFORE AND AFTER INDEPENDENCE BY THE ANTI-ELEMENTS AND ANTAGONISTS FATHERS, MOTHERS, GRANDFATHERS AND ÚNCLES TO DERAIL THE ECONONC AND SOCIAL DEVELOMENT THAT HAD TAKEN OFF IN GHANA IN THE SIXTIES.
WHAT IS EVEN PATHETIC IS, MANY GHANAIANS ESPECIALLY THE SO ''CALLED EDUCATED''INCLUDING UNIVERSITY VICE CHANCELLORS,PROFESSORS, DEANS, FACULTY HEADS AND LECTURERS DANCED TO THE PRIMITIVE TUNES OF THE ARMED CRIMINALS IN MILITARY UNIFORMS FOR OVERTHROWING THE GOVERNMEMNT OF THE CPP UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF DR KWAME NKRUMAH.
GHANAIANS NEED TO ASK THEMSELVES,WHAT HAVE WE ACHIVED FOR THE PAST FORTY SEVEN(47) YEARS.
NOTHING,BUT THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR DEAR NATION, COUPLED WITH BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION; MANIPULATION, EMBEZZLEMENT AND STEALING OF STATE RESOURCES.
WHAT IS EVEN SAD AND PATHETIC IS, AKUFFO-ADDO WHO WANTS TO BE THE POLITICAL LEADER IN GHANA, HIS CONSTITUENCY IN AKIM-ABUAKWA, IS STILL IN SHAMBLES WITH BROKEN INFRASTRUCTURE WITHOUT BASIC AMENITIES AND COTTAGE INDUSTRIES TO GENERATE INCOME FOR THE PEOPLE LIVING DOWN THERE.
THE SAME BROEN INFRASTRUCTURE COULD BE WITNESSED IN THE CONSTITUENCIES OF THE MANY NPP POLITICIANS WHO ARE STILL VERY ANXIOUS TO RULE THE NATION.
THESE PEOPLE CONTESTING THE ELECTION RESULTS AT THE SUPREME COURT OF GHANA, SHOULD BE DEEMED AS SHAMEFUL AND DISGRACEFUL PEOPLE.
THYE HAVE NOTHING IN MIND but TO RUIN THE NATION:
IT WILL HAVE BEEN A GREAT DISASTER IF THE NPP HSAD THE MANDATE AGAIN TO RULE GHANA.
NEVER AGAIN.

Rather the election petition is good forGhana democracy in particular and to the Africa continent in general, for various reasons.
There would be peace & cohension bcos, thats the aim and what the national telecast of court proceedings wish to archive,as all Ghanaians are automatically put on the jury to make their own conclutions.
EC would be streamlined and strenghtd as all necessary corrections would be made for it to carry out its mandate as required by the constitution ofGhana. What sort of revenge is the writer taking about ?.I think the out com which ever way, would create aromatic political atmosphere in the country.
The question of over stretched security system is not a factor here in anyway and is therefore outright nonsense.
