  In all my 25 years in Germany, I have never seen any person using cheques, partly because it is OUTMODED.
  
  Instead, all money transactions (bills and payments) are done throguh direct-debit / bank transfers. This way, you don't need to first cash your cheque and then deposit it in the bank.

  The GhIPSS CEO did not say how much the express clearing of cheques cost. Or is it not a standard fee in all the banks?

  if you join a website(porn) you give your credit card number or they do checks online..So either way it instant! so why can't a bank do what websites or Gas stations and supermarkets that have point of sale doing!

  banks maybe faster but Ghana post and Usa Pot office are getting slower...Wait till your freinds in Nigeria(419) get in YOUR computer with the key stroke virus...I may get all my paychecks by direct deposit...But payments to my ex-wife and utilitys are check or money orders..All that stuff is only as secure at the antivirus on your computer!

  This is a really good and pretty comfortable service you know. Will it be available all over the world? Since I live in Canada and it happens I need cash really fast sometime sand by far they only source I am able to get money with North'n Loans fastand this is it. But with Express Cheque clearing system it has to different now. This should improve the entire payments system, I think because getting money in a matter of hours is really and really good you know.
