Unfortunately the writing of bogus contracts started with Nkrumah, the VALCO contract had to be re-negotiated by Rawlings in 1985 to make it more equitable. Unfortunately, the West and I guess now China is able to bamboozle even the best of us.
The question I have always asked is how do you unite a whole continent when we don’t have unity in our countries? You can’t compare the continent of Africa with the country of China – China is more homogenous and ruled with a heavy hand. It is just a matter of time before the uneasy quietness in China explodes, especially now with the Internet exposing some of the rot in China and many of the CCP members sending their own children to elite universities in the West to study. Chinese are yearning for freedom.
Remember that the prosperity of China has nothing to do with its population but more so with opening of his markets after the death of Maoism in the last 30 or so years. China sells more now than it buys albeit in some cases inferior goods. In fact China’s GDP is lower than any country in the West due to the vast population and poverty in the country.
I still think until we are able to bring unity into our countries, and have the money to back AU instead of relying on the West and China to fund the budget; the unity of Africa would just be a dream that would not be lived.

Yes Nkrumah did some good for Ghana but was a dictator. Did he even ever had a Vice President? He wanted to be president for life. What kind of government did he want to establish? Then there was the PDA. What a dictatorship. If the people of North Korea are happy, why does the government prevent them from leaving the country? Trying to go to South Korea is punishable by long term imprisonment. Many North Koreans will find it a blessing to live in Ghana.

Even CIA documents released under the Freedom of Information Act confirmed. Unfortunately, we are our own enemies. Now colonialism has come back to Africa in different guises. The mistakes he did doom him and it is about time we make sure to paddle our canoe well on the high rough sea because any rogue wave can cause our demise with him.

After George Washington and co built the US and left, those who followed them use their brains to continue what they did. They are not calling on their past leaders to come back like we are doing.

We have laws in the books that should be implemented to tackle the nauseating stench of corruption, greed, injustice, nepotism, jealousy, dishonesty, stealing, envy, laziness, moral decay etc that will make our continent a paradise yet, what exactly do we see?

Nkrumah is dead and gone. We have to sit up and think and act like humans with brains and eschew all the vices destroying our very existence. Till then we are fighting a losing battle.

In the same vein Africa will measure its development with the demise of gangs like the NDC. Childish talk. It is easy for a continent of oppressed and enslaved people to come together to sing a song of lamentation but a continental government in Africa was impracticable, insane and ill-conceived. Oh, yes, Nelson Mandela knows Nkrumah better. Nkrumah and Jerry Rawlings were great risk takers but they were no great leaders. As for Ghaddafi, anyone who thought he was a great leader because he talked about African Unity and a continental government must seek medical attention. Ghaddafi was only looking for a massive continental army to protect him against what he knew was imminent. He got only got what he deserved.

His utterances create a lot of disaffection for us. His boss Ayariga is more cultured and can appeal to people when he is delivering. The amateur behaves like in a debating club or on a political platform. Jerry never considered more northerners in his cabinet because of what is being exhibited by this simpleton.
