  Well said, B.A.Mensah was an industrial giant in Ghanaian entrepreneurship. No matter how you turn and twist it, he contributed a great deal to the Ghanaian economy. He employed a lot of people. There is so much hate and envy in our country that some in authority would rather help a fake lebanese or a Syrian businessman to plunder our economy than to help a fellow Ghanaian to get on his feet to contribute to the economy. Yes indeed that is why all we do is buying and selling. And on a cautionary side save our money in our homes instead of the bank. Because there could be an anti-business dictator some day, who will confiscate your hard earned money if it is in the bank. How long will the realization take in coming? Wake up!

  This man Mr BA Mensah Siaw Tata and others were great African entrepreneurs who had a vision to uplift the standard of living of fellow Africans in general but because of our evil tendencies coupled with envy for the hardworking rich and our PHD(pull him down) philosophy which is still existing today we have lost all the best we've had and the youth of today do not even gain any meaningful employment,Those entrepreneurs mentioned in the tribute had a vision like that of the late Kwame Nkrumah.

  Let everyone know that BA's properties were lawfully confiscated because he evaded tax. He cheated the state of trillions of Cedis at the time. So the children are being dishonest and just want to exploit public sympathy to coerce the govt.
  
  For us to have a just society we must all hate wrong-doing with a passion. If one cheats the public of tax resources he must be severely punished. All over the world governments confiscate properties of tax dodgers and drug barons.
  
  Why should we pat BA, the greatest tax frausdster in Ghana's history, on the back? If we give the properties back to the children we are giving a bad signal for people to cheat the state, after all we operate it!
  
  In the same way we must abhor embezzlers of public funds because they are taxes we have collected from law abiding citizens. In this sense, why should we leave the greatest thief that has ever existed in Ghana, i.e. President Kufuor, free to be enjoying his retirement? Kufuor presided over naked and blatant robbery of public property, yet we even honour him!

  There is something called posession of stolen property no matter how it was obtained. There is also something called buyer be warned. If the courts have ruled for a long time that properties forcefully taken from somebody must be returned to him and you go and buy them, you stand the chance of losing your money, for you cannot buy stolen property.

  Money is nonperishable. Ghana International Passengers are also waiting for their refunds and they would keep on demanding their money no matter how long it takes. Ministry of Transport says the refund has been given to Mr Newman of Circle Travel, if this is true he should not be allowed to get away with passengers money. Either President Mahama or the Minister of Transport should appoint a team to look into the whole refund process.

  Ghana is still broke because we don't have a proper mechanism in place to collect taxes from the public. The rich avoid taxation until jerry pops up unannounced.

  Do you remember what the aim of the revolution was according to Prof Kofi Awoonor? That should tell you why those businessmen were targeted. It's a shame and a disincentive to investment in Ghana.

  How would you describe anyone who advertised and sold cigarettes to millions of Ghanaian youth and adults for decades, sowed the seeds of cancer amongst generations of Ghanaians through cigarette smoking, and built an economic advantage for himself and his family while at it? This man is no Carnegie. Carnegie built libraries for educating people all accross North America. He did not sow the seeds of death amongst his people.
  All these observations aside, it is still horrible to have this man's properties siezed illegally. Can one really develop a sustainable iindustry in Ghana without meddling in politics?

I enjoyed rides in his huge Benz and join him at table sometimes. I really did not do any thing for him to merit his affection. "God, please pardon him for his iniquities and grant him a perfect place in your house; for we are all not perfect before you." Amen!
