I very much appreciate your father even though he made some mistakes in his "youth". He did make significant positive contributions to our dear country and I forgive him for his short comings. SHE WAS PAST 55 OR 60 AND WAS GUNNING TO BEAT THE RED LIGHT. AS I MADE A LEFT TURN...BOOM!I WAS WITH A FRIEND THAT DAY. I WAS UNCOCOIUS FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES. ALL I COULD HEAR WAS MY FRIEND YELLING...BROWN, BROWN, BROWN. WHEN MY EYES OPENED,I WAS IN A DAZE. MY ARM WAS BROKEN, BUT I DIDNT NOTICE IT RIGHT AWAY. UNTIL THE AMBULANCE CAME. I WAS HOSPITALIZED AND ALTHOUGHT THE ACCIDENT WASNT MY FAULT, THE STUPID TURBAN WEARING INDIAN POLICE OFFFICER GAVE ME 2 TICKETS. MY LAWYER, A JEWISH WOMAN WAS ABLE TO GET THE TICKETS THROWN OUT, AND I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE ELDERLY WOMAN HAD PASSED ON. FROM THAT DAY,I VOWED TO STOP DRIVING. I WILL NEVER OPERATE A VEHICLE UNTIL I EITHER MOVE TO THE SUBURBS OR AM ABLE TO BUY MY RANGE ROVER. I REALLY WONT MIND DYIG IN A RANGE THOUGH.

Do you know that you got to med school because of the opportunities and doors opened to you because of your father's position?

Do you know how many kids in our rural and urban communities who have been condemned to a life of abject and humiliating poverty just because of public corruption perpetuated by your father's regime AND regimes coming after it?

I wish that your father had told you that the many underprivileged kids were well schooled to enable them and their families live a life worth living for.

When your father took over the reins of government in the country, he had the full support of the mass of the people but for some very strange reasons he squandered it. For example, all viable state institutions were sold to themselves and or their cronies. Now these sold state enterprises all thriving and making mighty profits that go into the dirty pockets of your mother and your father's cronies. Nsawam Something-Something is there for all to see. Your mother and her cronies are the sole beneficiaries!

What is even more despicable is the education system. Legon is now like a slum university. We still have schools under trees with their non-existent basic tools of education. Ask anybody who attended Legon when he took over power in Dec 1981.

Ask your parents how many innocent lives were lost just to make Ghana a country worth living for.

Ask them how many innocent lives were sacrificed just so law and discipline would be hallmarks of Ghana!

Now we have a lawless and indiscipline country and none of our leaders cares because they are corruptly profiting from the decadence and rot that have taken hold of the country.

We can't run away from these unfortunate facts!

All we have to do now is to pray to the Lord Almighty that something dastardly doesn't happen to this country of ours.

Hope you are reading me loud and clear and you are going to carry this GODLY MESSAGE TO YOUR PARENTS.

Yes, let's pray for the country - a country rotten to the core and ready to explode if the right things are not done.
