The Police should stop exposing informants to the criminals at their identification parades. They should always protect these identifiers behind a screen that would not expose them.

This is very bad on the part of the Police Aministration and they are now putting lives at risk. This is the one reason people who even have vital information(s) thjat we eventually lead the the arrest of crimininals or other offenders do not come forward with such infiormations because the Police will deliberately release names, etc of the informants. They must understand that they are putting lives at risk.

These people are already afraid for their lives and you go ahead and reveal their identities in your article. This is irresponsible and stupid journalism from Ghanaweb. Our police service is devoid of professionalism unlike the army. There is a need for retraining of our police to be more professional. We need a well trained professional police service. We also need a comprehensive witness protection program which will safeguard the lives and anonymity of informants.

Maybe the informants don't know that robbers share the booty with the police. Even if the robbers family don't attack the informants, the police will attack them.

Ghana is now a joke rather than a nation. No authority in Ghana is effective. There appears to be no professinalism in any form in Ghana and the police force is the worse example. If you don't believe this, then go to a police station to report a crime against you and if you are lucky, the police will ask you to provide a taxi and some cash to enable them effect the arrest. If you are not lucky, the police will ask you to go and arrest the suspect and bring him to the police station. It makes one wonder what is the state of affairs in Ghana. The nation has turned into a joke. The government appears to have lost direction and the opposition is only interested in stuffing their pockets or causing chaos and the poor are suffering untold hardship. It is a shame.
