Pollster Ben Ephson has said majority of the main opposition New Patriotic Party hardcore supporters doubt if the party’s election petition has merit to be upheld by the Supreme Court.

Presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, together with his running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the party’s National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, is challenging the 2012 election results which they claim were rigged.

Two stalwarts of the party, Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby and Kwame Pianim have publicly disagreed with the party’s court challenge.

Dr. Wereko-Brobby recently described the petitioners’ key witness, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a ‘clueless’ and ‘confused’ person who lacked the practical understanding of what transpired during the elections.

Mr. Ephson has told XYZ News post-election works done by him revealed that only a few supporters of the party agree with the decision to challenge the results in court.

He said majority of the supporters are losing faith in the party’s ability to win the case.

“We’ve been doing some post-election work and from one of the questions, majority of the hardcore NPP are losing faith that the party has a case,” he stressed.

The dynamics in Ghana politics is that you need to mess up or annoy the electorates with your lifestyle, dishonesty and deceitfulness to be booted out, and that was exactly what Kuffour and his men did for eight years. Akufo Addo faced instant rejection when after winning their primary courtesy Alan Kyeremanteng's decision to allow him to go, he went on presidential convoy amidst honking and traffic buildup. He also started paying unsolicited visits to some African heads of states. Arrogance of a short man! He could also not bottled up his emotions, ego, ambition, arrogance and also could just not control his lascivious and immoral character as he went fondling with the big size breast of a married woman.

Perhaps, he was even saying "If I win this elections, all the beautiful women are dead. I will screw all of the married women silly!"

Attacking a person like Wereku-Brobby is like chiseling the very lower portion of the external walls of a house that took brains, sweat and muscles to build amidst various stop work signs periodically written on it.
The house here is the NPP party.
The way this son and father of the party is being disrespected for simply doing what is right, show of courage and bravery all in the name of repairing the image of a once known vibrant opposition and a ruling party that was steered by people like Dan Botwe.
How many of the leaders and members today can beat their chest like Brobby to spit the fact as it is? Most of them would lose their daily bread. Instead of thanking him for his bravery, they want to crucify him.
What they are failing to realize is that, every secret; evil and the good ones that the NPP and its leaders planned before, carried out before and the ones being cooked is already in the belly of this man. If pushed to a point, he would have no option than churn it to a fast killing poison that would keep NPP paralyzed for many political years or completely killed without trace.

We are practising democracy and not dictatorship. in democracies ppl have divergent views which must be respected. the fact that your views are in conflict with another person's doesn't mean we shd resort to insults. sometimes i feel sad when little boys like samy awuku, anthony karbo etc who have no work experience open their mouths to insult elders both of their party and opposition. lets be civil. u cant expect everybody to agree with you in a large party like the NPP. instead of resorting to emotions and sycophancy, lets be sober and reflect on what tarzan and nyaho tamakloe are saying and we can learn a lot to i mprove our political fortunes. we did this to Arthur K after the 2008 elections. we did not learn from the mistakes, they came to haunt us in 2012 and we lost the election. we lost the 2012 election period. lets rebuild the party and stop crying over spilt milk.
