Yes, in Ghana democracy is meant everyone is free to hurl insults on people you don't like, irrespective of their standing in society. Thus, people like Afreyie, the NPP general secretary, can snarl like a hungry animal and abuse the country's president, Mr John Mahama.

Democracy is a system of goverment and not a moral conduct.
In Africa Children respect and obey thier elders and who ever is in high office.
The Christian faith conferms it, we in Ghana are suppose to be the most Christian Country in Africa, really? maybe we are only Church goers with Feelgood preachers, For true Christians are commanded by God to obey and respect their parents and elders.
There is a lot of blames to go around, but lets look at who are in Control of our Children in Ghana, its the Pastors, the Reverents, The Bishops, and the Prophets. Children no longer talk to their parents anymore, in many cases the Pastors tell them their parents are the reason for their suffering and pain, that their parents are wiches. If pastors are good parents take a closer look at pastors teenage sons and dauthers, are they the greatest children? Se kwatrukwa se obemawo ntuma' a swe die efatano. Lets stop playing church and be a Nation of Gods people and a blessing to our Nation and Africa, too many money collectors, brainwashing, intimedation, fear and control of the masses of our people, how long can you take from the poor?

JUST BECAUSE THEY SAY IT IS DEMOCRACY SO EVEN IF YOU INSULT YOUR FATHER IT IS NORMAL YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO SO, AH!!!! NONSENSE EVEN EUROPEANS NEVER DO THAT.
