Even criminals facing the death sentence, when they know all too well that they have lost their case and would be heading for the gallows, cannot do that in court. The fact that nothing is going right for you as counsel does not mean that you should show disrespect to the bench.
I am rather surprised that the opposite party is making no noise about Lithur's behaviour. If any one of the NPP's lawyers had behaved that one, much less the lead counsel, we cannot imagine what the contents of the various world media would have been. But this incident seems to have passed through with just some feeble remarks, just like the one the NPP's lead counsel made. It tells everybody who is winning this case. As Atuguba mistakenly commented, when sailors start jettisoning goods, it shows clearly that the sailors know that they are in danger of a disaster!

It's a battle in there and we don't have to like each other but we are required to treat each with respect and respect the dignity of the bench and the court. That uncouth behavior by Lithur would have elicited a heavy sanction in most courts but then we have a Presiding judge who is an uncle to the Secretary to the President who refused to recuse himself from the proceedings to negate even an appearance of a conflict. When the Presiding Judge is not adhering to the rules, how would you expect the lawyers to conform to the rules.The entire process is farcical and a joke with the Presiding judge and defense counsel playing fast and loose with the rule and acting with impunity.

If it was "no big deal", why was counsel reprimanded by the justices? Whatever the case, people should learn to comport themselves in court (however low or high), and certainly in the supreme court of all places.

This defence of Tony Lithur is wholly unacceptable to me. The guy was wrong, and what Ato Dadzie should be doing is rendering unreserved apologies, not adding to his insults!

They shouldnt be surprise if the NPP Lawyers pull something from the files which NDC and it Lawyers are not comfortable with. John Mahama team has lost the defends. Do even a sinle one of them has proven what Bawumia and NPP are saying is wrong. They all believe there were errors in the elections. Not a single one of NDC is defending John Mahama as president. Its time for Ghanaians to know what NPP and Addo is saying is true. The election were rigged and fiddled by the suppose EC who had no employed work at any poll station.

But Justice Atuguba rightly said that, it's only when merchant ships on high seas who're in distress does "off-loading" of their cargo, to save the ship or vessle from drowning.

The NDC is in serious trouble in this election fraud case; they'll have to tell the Supreme Court, Ghanaians and the World all about the discrepancies in the December elections. The pink sheets, over voting ect. It's funny to hear Afari Gyan telling big lies in Court. After warning the electorate about non-verification and consequencies, prior to elections, he's now standing before the Justices saying something else. Even a fool has good brains to disagree.

The EC and NDC's notion is that once John Mahama has been sworn in, there can't be any reverse. Well, let's see what happens. If the laws of the land and the constitution really works then they must wake to a shock of their lives.

It's so surprising to note how the NDC think everything is just for joke! They're saying "Oh, nothing will change; it's all theatrical stuff. "It's all over already!" Well, I'd like to differ; there's no comedy in this court case; there's simply no jokes here.

The electon fraud case before the Supreme Court is not for jokes; there's no "two ways" about that and the NDC better take notice.
