What do you mean by "forge pink sheets"? I thought the pink sheets were collected by the party agents on the same day of voting so how could someone forge it?

The truth will triumph over evil no matter how hard Dr. Afari Djan will try to give evidence to complement that of NDC and President Mahama. He identified the lop holes in the system and tried to exploit them for his personal benefit. But he has forgotten he was toiling with innocent Ghanaian blood. He also took advantage of the peaceful nature of the larger Ghanaian population and one could see his posturing before and during the election. What I found so fickle about his presentation during his first appearance was his explanation on 10% extra ballots which I think a JHS student will not be convinced by such explanation. 10% of 25 ballots in a booklet will be 2.5 and round it up to 3 extra making 28 ballots in a booklet and the rest will not be difficult say 50 and 100 so there is something mischievous about such arrangement. I pray that the Justices can see through all these. At your age you allow Mr. Asiedu Nketiah and President Mahama to lure you into such a disgraceful act.

These statements by Afari Gyan sometimes irritates people no matter which party they belong to. When you are on the winning side like NDC, its okay. And in 2000 and 2004, it would have been ok for NPP. Afari Gyan has simply capitalised on the bitter antagonism and acrimony between NPP and NDC to become sometimes arogant and dismissive. He could explain further why a lack of signature by returning officers did not affect the results. The simple fact is that the results are already known by the party reps who track their performance from polling station to polling station. Infact they do more work than the paid EC agents. If NPP and NDC do not develop a common ground of cooperation to effect the necessary electoral reforms, there would continue to be weeping, wailing and the gnashing of teeth by either of them every four years, while Afari Gyan exploits their differences to his advantage. The sad fact is that the two parties would not ever know whether their victories or defeats were genuine.

If the Presiding Officer forgot to sign but the Party Agents present signed and these agents can be identified and they testify that the recorded results are correct, then there shouldn't be a problem.

For those who still don't understand, this is an example. If you say this is A and I say it's B, it is up to you to prove that it is A. I don't have to prove anything. I can only tell you it is B, that's it; you can go and burn the sea if you cannot prove yours to be A.

The pink sheets require several signatures by different individuals who signed to authenticate on behalf of all the political parties and the EC. Fact is all the agents for NPP and NDC have signed the pink sheet to validate the results of votes on the sheets. That is enough authentication by the polling agents that the votes recorded on the sheets are correct and were casted and counted in their presence. The missing signature by the EC official is not a proof that the votes on the sheets are not correct.

What other things will distract the officials to forget signing the forms THEMSELVES, but make the polling agents sign? Do you keep signatures of polling agents to be sure the correct or true polling agents signed these forms? Anybody could have signed those forms in contention, Mr. man!

So even if they had a whole gamut of things to do, all those got finished so why did they not sign the forms? Interestingly Afari Djan admitted that was an irregularity. Now it's the turn of the judges to determine it's significance. I doubt the authenticity of the party agents signatures.

We all know that the more particulars that appear on any form sent to printers, the more expensive it becomes. The country would have been saved several thousands of cedis if the forms had excluded serial numbers and space for signatures. Dr Afari Djan should try not to fool the nation.
The absence of signatures is a tool for rigging; because, and especially since serial numbers are of no consequence in this case, any foll can take a new pink sheets, transfer and modify the figures from the original pink sheet and present it to the collation centre. Afari Djan should convince the world that this could never happen according to his own reasoning.

It is only a fool or the person who commits election fraud who might think Ghana's election are 100% perfect. Serial numbers on pertinent docs are irrelevant, there would never be over-voting because there would never be a clear definition, etc. Unless guns, clubs, knives, etc are pulled by a mob on election days to disrupt the conduct of elections, Ghana's elections would always be deemed perfect and the EC would be respected worldwide.

We all make mistakes; bear in mind that the EC had to make declaration within a short time frame. The petitioner had enough time but could still not cut out errors in their materials. Hypocrites!!!!!!
