Akadu, Dr Afari-Gyan was pressed to answer a question which he answered honestly. He hesitated because he did not want to give the impression that he was in any way influenced by his relationship with nan Akuffo-Addo.

The point Tsatsu wanted to assert was that Dr Afari-Gyan had no reason or incentive to deny Akuffo-Addo victory in the elections, even if he had the power so to do. This point will not be lost on the judges in their final determination of the case.

It is important also to note that Nana Akuffo-Addo alluded to his relationship with Dr Afari-Gyan in his last rally before the election. He confirmed what Dr Afari-Gyan said in court, that they he knew Dr Afari-Gyan very well, that they were room-mates at Legon. Nana Addo was implying that Dr Afari-Gyan could be trusted to deliver a fair election result. The recording has been played on Asempa FM and could be tended in evidence by the respondents.

This makes it all the more surprising the abuse that has been heaped on Dr Afari-Gyan since the election.

I am so glad that Ghanaian youths are getting a chance to hear and see such a distinguished gentleman of integrity, Dr. (Togbe) Afari Djan, testify on the tenets of his duties as an officer of elections, and thus democracy in Ghana.

Ghanaian youths desperately need these types of honest, morally upright dedicated individuals, who fulfill their duties with utmost integrity, to be in the media as role models for them.

The reason why Dr. Afari Djan can testify in front of his roommates undeterred is because he has been and still is fulfilling the tenets of duties with integrity, and there is NO shame in that!

Dr. Afari Djan as an Ambassador of Christ in electoral office, can even appear before Kings and Queens both near and far!

AKADU, YOU CAN LEARN A THING OR TWO FROM THIS AUGUST GENTLEMAN OF THE OUR MOTHER/FATHERLAND!

You literally work for Ghanaians and Ghanaians have every single right to know the truth. Although, it has been obvious on the face of the pink sheets that some malpractices occurred as well as cancellation of some results; he being the "boss" of EC should possess all the information about the 2012 elections to honorably admit that yes I faild to discharge me power as the E.C boss or yes I was bribed. With that assertion, the Ghanaian populace may have some sort of sympathy for you after being in jail for a while to grant you an appeal . But if you rudely ignore questions and rudely throw shabby answers out there, you are simply insulting the entire Ghanaian populace.

You literally owe Ghanaians, you ought to come clean for this cross-examination. You are guilty of negligence and claiming you did not know some results were canceled yet you hastily went on to declare the results is professionally unacceptable. Ignorance of the LAW is NO excuse. You need to serve time in prison. This will deter the next EC boss to be thorough and well informed with results' authenticity before declaring it to the gracious Ghanaians.

Ahh, why do you take Ghanaians leniency to be their weakness? Ghanaians are very loving people but they need to wake up and whip this stupid fool called Afari. Even Jesus whipped the thieves who were selling "ungodly" things in the church. That simply indicates that, if someone is abusing, neglecting and taking advantage of the law or the common good of the people, he/she should be "whipped"; in Afari's case be sent to Nsawam prison for life with hard labor. You are a big disgrace to the world, the entire world is watching. Shame on you corrupt man.

He has some hidden agenda against Nana Akufo-Addo, just as Tsatsu Tsikata has hatred against Nana. If Tsatsu has a free mind and clean heart towards Nana, he would have adviced his NDC cohorts to refrain from election fraud. But strangely, he's in court trying to defend the indefensible. What a man! Afrai-Gyan too thinks he's got company of liars who'd come to his aid when things go wrong, so he's pressing on his lies and deception before the Noble Justices. Hmmmm! Afari-Gyan keeps on digging his grave, by telling crazy lies in court. My friend's grand-pa would alwyas say: "a word to the waass is the "norf" meaning: a word to the wise, is enough.

Victor, i am not sure if you read the same transcript. According to this, all 3 stayed in the same hall, but only Nana was his roommate at some point. He also said Nana was his junior by 2 years and that Tsatsu was also his junior but did not say by how many years. It is reasonable to conclude that they were possibly one year apart or Nana and Tsatsu were classmates. I would also think he and Nana were much closer as friends/roommates than he and Tsatsu. So if he had to steal the election for one of the two, it is possible he would favor Nana over Tsatsu. Second, it is a lawyer's duty to defend his/her client, but in this case, political affiliation makes a difference. I dont see Tsatsu being hired by the petitioners the same way I dont see Addison being hired by the respondents. Until this case is decided by the court, people we can only speculate, but please try to understand what is published before you comment. Most importantly, let's be fair, patient and honest in interpreting what is published. Thnx.
