I am calling on the President John Dramani Mahama to do the same for all disgruntled Ghanaians who are living overseas start by asking that the law should and must change so every Ghanaian every where can vote, run for office and appoint to any position after a Ghanaian born overseas can play for the Black Stars but a nationalized Ghanaian/German, Ghanaian/Canadian can not run for office but his or her money is good.

He is really cool but let us be honest, our dreams of where Blacks Star is to be in a world stage, he is not the guy to be the head coach. That is the truth!!! Naturally, these young men we have, been around with world class coaches and always want to learn something new. Sometimes we bring these guys down and expecting them to kowtow everything so easily forgetting who they are and their level of understanding of some issues in the business itself. I wish as at now we have one single coach who has been outside as an international coach. That tells you the standard of our coaches and we are expecting these top class players to surrender to them just like that. Psychologically, it does not work that way and that may be our fundamental essence we still can’t penetrate the top ten. The first time we went to the world seen have Stephen as the captain; the young men were so determined to create a name for Ghana and themselves. Even though the coach wasn’t all that the best at time, the overall ambiance was somehow personal to them and all of us. I never did read a post here at that time that we cursing ourselves and those men. We were all behind them and they knew that and they gave everything they could and with that spirit then is what we have been holding unto it up to today. Let us start making fruitful debates agree to disagree and to encourage the young men for once. Thanks Buddy!

Mr President, remember this nonsense started with Abedi Pele, and Tony Yeboah who felt they were better than everyone in Ghana cos they played in the big leagues in Europe. These current kid players are just taking a cue from their appaulling attitude. Sports men and women everywhere in the world are given a hard time by their fans, but they never quit their national teams...players in England, Brazil, Italy just to mention a few. After their elimination from the world cup in South Africa, some Brazilian players had to go into hiding fearing for their lives, but they didn't quit the team...they played anytime they were called upon. For the nation's leader to blame fans for the retirement of these arrogant and self righteous players is a shame.

Speaking to the so called aggrieved Black Star Players,our President made this uncanny statement that underscores the main reason why our nation is the way it is.The primary responsibility as defined by our leader is to "take care of every citizen".He couldn't be so wrong!!!.It is that mind set that has wrecked havoc in the administration of our country.The goal of government is NOT to take of everybody.The government is NOT OUR PARENTS!!!.The responsibility of government is to PROTECT US FROM ENEMIES FROM WITHIN AND OR WITHOUT.And the last time I checked, they cannot even do that.We the people should be left alone to cater for ourselves with little or no interference from our government.
There are of course some things government is best suited to do e.g. road constructions,public schools,bridges,overall electrification of the country,drainage and sewerage systems construction and major projects.The rest,we the people should be given the free hand to get involved to provide better services for all.
The idea that our government has this mind set of "taking care of us" is what gives them the fodder to be corrupt to the core.We should shun and limit such expectations of our government and that would go a long way in eradication corruption in our country.Oh,and to ensure media freedom in Ghana,our government should get out of the media business completely.Initiating daily briefings recently is a good start.The Ministry of Information should be abolished and we the people should be solely in charge of what's the right of the people to know.
