To summarize it; nothing works in my country.
The people are magicians or may be with the help of TB Joshua's holy water, they are able to survive.
The MPs and Minister are saying they know people who are behind the fires and yet, will not mention any names and the BNI has no time to call them to ask but has all the time to arrest someone who "photoshop" the President.
The Leaders are corrupt to the bone and will do any to be rich. Gbevlo fired the then security folks at the airport and brought in his friend, Adelaquaye, yet the NDC is warning us not to talk about Gbevlo.
The Lawyers who are supposed to know court proceedings don't even know what they said at the court. They just rushed to feed us Toli.
Firstly, the EC did not have the time to train people for the election, yet he had time and money to create new constituencies and the EC who has been in his post for 20 yrs, does not know what over-voting is, so why are we trying to find how and why over-voting occurred?
It ain't funny anymore in my country.

The fact that this Electoral Petition was allowed to come to Court is a big plus to Ghana. There's going to be a winner or a loser. Both to Ghana. With this awareness, it's going to be a foolish political party that will try to connive with bug invested, partisan Electoral Commission(er) to turn the upside-down, the franchise of the Ghanaian. Our eyes are now opened. Anibue aba!
Ghanaians now should tackle the "Aha ye de, kro yi mu yede nti yerede mu agorogo", mentality of our elected leaders and people we appoint to high places. Erase fear, and stand up to stop them!
Casely, to your elbow. Don't stop here more grease to your elbow.
Let them call you NPP sympathizer, NDC hater, the most important thing, let those with such comments, produce something with salted party love that will help crush the corruption saturated mentality of our leaders. If they can't, but believe that our Security Capos should export narcotics to enrich themselves and political parties, well, the world is watching. "Over to you, Joe Lartey"!

I am beginning to re-evaluate my impression of this writer.I initially thought he was objective and non partisan but increasingly in a sarcastic tragedy his write ups always end in lambasting the government at the expense of the opposition whose note always end on a comedy.Ironically he pretends to be hard up and can hardly switch on his air conditioners because of dumsor dumsor and now he is helping to sell mobile units. He can also not reconcile how it could be possible how trans positional error could not affect election outcome.I see now,you write with a kite flying and on it written boldly I am npp and proud.

Is there any wonder? Most Ghanaians are so mentally lazy, refuse to crack their God giving brains, that every misfortune which happens to them is caused by somebody else execpt themselves.
These fireout breaks has been causing havoc in this Country every year, instead of the authorities using their brains to find solutions to them it is either blamed on the Witch or the political opponent. The same like floods which happens every rainy season, killing hundreds and distroying properties. As sooon as the rains start, the talk starts with every Government,"we shall do this,we shall do that,to prevent loss of life".As soon as the rains stop ,we also stop thinking.
Oh, Ghana is this the way forward, when can we start to have confidence in ourselves and believe that, there is no problem we cann`t solve if we are determined?
The brains the Whiteman used to developed his Country,is not better than the one the Blackman has got, only the Whiteman is more disciplined, and has trust in his abilities to solve problems, and never blamed the witch or political opponents for his shortcomings.
Lets stop runing to Pastors and use our brains, because our own brains are more powerful than we think.
And please lets have a thinking Government, which can lead us.

I have watched him on a couple of occasions on JoyFM`s PM Express as a panelist, and could not help but speculate that he was one of the paid spokespersons for the NPP. Now I can understand why a person appearing as an 'expert' on a program, would make the kind of submissions he put forward!

Thank you 'Obroni' Casely-Hayford for this refreshing and well structured article of yours.
There is humour, there is serious business and there is food for thought, all in your article.
Your day as a mobile phone top-up card hawker on the streets of Accra, was well presented and I enjoyed the experience.
The bit about the Market fires and how state ministers are blaming the ''world'' without first calling for any serious investigation is worrying.
Speaking to non-Ghanaians in the Diaspora, they were shocked to hear Dr Afari-Gyan's claim in the Supreme Court of Ghana that he did not understand what over-voting was! My colleagues here in the UK could not believe their years when they heard Dr Afari-Gyan. This is a so - called Electoral Commissioner or Expert with international reputation!!! Very disappointing.
In his attempt to copy Asiedu Nketia's tomfoolery , Dr Afari Gyan has enbarrased himself - BIG TIME! The world is laughing at him for not understanding what over-voting in an election means. Shame unto him!!
The other interesting part of this article, is : I quote "The shame is all ours, but our pride is democracy and we tolerate all, even those whose treason is constitutionally protected". Ghanaians have tolerated this nonsense for far too long. The question is when will it all end.
Thank you Sydney Casely-Hayford, you have given me hope that some of Ghana's 'obronis' have protected their brains and can actually make sense of what they do, what they say and how they behave.
I have enjoyed this article sooo much. Well done.

The fact that this Electoral Petition was allowed to come to Court, is a big plus to Ghana. There isn’t going to be a winner nor a loser. Both to the political maturity of Ghana. With this awareness, it's going to be a foolish entrepreneurial attempt by political party to connive with the bug invested, partisan Electoral Commission(er), to turn the upside-down, the franchise of the Ghanaian. Our eyes are now opened. Anibue aba!
Ghanaians now should tackle and erode the "Aha ye de, or kro yi mu yede nti yerede mu agorogo", mentality of our elected leaders and people we appoint to high places. Erase fear, and stand up to stop them!
Casely more grease to your elbow. Don't stop here.
Let them call you NPP sympathizer, NDC hater. The most important thing is, Ghana is waiting for those with such comments, to produce something, (even with salted party love), that will help crush, or do I say heal, the corruption saturated mentality of our leaders. If they can't, but continue to hold the notion that our Security Capos has the “right” to export narcotics to enrich themselves and their political parties, well, the world is watching. "Over to you, Joe Lartey"!
If they continue to hold on to the belief that election results can be “Kuti Achamponized” to entrench incumbency, yes, let them be. Remember the Union Government saga of Kuti Achampong and the ensuing palace coup? For how long, like the executioner’s dream, can they enjoy the suffering eyes of Ghanaians? The ravening clouds will not hold forever, they shall no longer be victorious!
To summarize it; nothing works in my country.
