I think the headline should read, Ayew Brothers have ended their retirement from Blackstars selection and not "Ayew brothers in Black Stars return" because they also have to be invited by the Coach. The fact that they have ended their retirement does not mean they will get automatic invitation to the Blackstars.

First, it was wrong for Mahama to meddle in Footbal matters.

Secondly, the Ayew brothers should have written a letter to the Blackstars Technical staff making themselves available for selection.

Third and this is my personal view. Whilst Dede might be an automatic selection, Jordan is not a Blackstar material at the moment and the same problem that led to their retirement might happen again because I can't see Coach Appiah dropping any of the Blackstars strikers for Jordan Ayew.

Kwesi Appiah should be a man and put his foot down and not invite Jordan to make Mahama happy. Mahama can appoint Jordan to his cabinet but he cannot force him on Coach Appiah, he is not a Blackstars material.

As for me, if I see any of those undisciplined boys playing for the Black Stars, I will not support the team. What? Has the Black Stars become a breeding ground for indiscipline and over-grown mentally retarded children?

Please keep them out of the team as their service is not needed at this time and may be never. Nobody sidelined them, they sideline themselves therefore the president made a mistake for having approached them to rejoin the team. Perhaps our accidental or error president could have channeled his energy to curtail the "duumso myelitis" that have plagued our country and economy. The role of a president of a country is not to recruit players to join the national teams....what a misplaced priority!!!

the president must stay out of many things and allow institutions to work. the minister must be told that superficially when footballers see a government functionary whqat they are thinking about is their per diem and fat winning bonuses. kwesi appiah is on top of his job. kwesi appiah has brought the spirit of competitiveness into the blackstars and those who feel they cannot compete are shying away. mahatma otto for instance si been called upon to compete. in the past it was not so. the blackstars was monopolised by certain players for long spells. there is a paradym shift now because the soft-spoken kwesi appiah is doing it but not with an erruption. which coach could leave out john paintsil?
