The GWCL and the claimants' lawyer may possibly be trying to short-change or swindle the landowners. OMG! If educated folks can act stupidly like this in Ghana, then no wonder folks like Madam Donkor think that they could become President of Ghana.

And when that stupi Dovlo was caught pants down, by Lawyer Yaw Appau, he beats retreat with the flimsy excuse that he just took over, less than 3 months, thus he must be given more time to search for that RECEIPT. How difficult should finding a RECEIPT (not a LETTER) be in a company like GWCL, if they are up to any good thing. What is the account/financial section of GWCL doing? No wonder they keep embezzling funds - due to lack of record-keeping (simple book-keeping). The MD and his cohorts must be fired and prosecuted and possibly jailed. What a shame!

Just look at the amount of INSULTS that inundate this forum. There is lost of respect, so much so that people who used to be highly respected in our society: Kings, Chiefs, Queenmothers, Moderators, Bishops, Presidents, Vice Presidents, the Clergy,Lawyers, Medical Doctors,IGP, High-ranking Police Officers, etc, etc can't and are not respected anymore due to corruption and lack of TRUTH. The worst trend now is that we the EDUCATED FOLKS have even become the WORST CULPRITS!

The above, notwithstanding, should not have made a MISTAKE and be confused, to submit or present a LETTER as a RECEIPT. He or nobody would have any excuse for that, even if you took over management of an organization, like GWCL within 24 hours.

What the Dovlo should have done was to have asked for time to look for the RECEIPT that the Commission had asked for - and NOT TO appear before the commission with the LETTER he sent. Nothing prevented Dovlo from making sure that the Accounts Dept of the GWCL had given him a RECEIPT.

Kaw Ansah, I have reviewed things thoroughly as an educated person and as somebody who has manned similar organizations in Ghana before. Surely, things may and would have happened in his absence, but his submission or presentation of a LETTER in place of a RECEIPT is not acceptable. Just read into the tone with which Justice Yaw Apau spoke to Dovlo. Would you also tell Justice Apau to :Follow events carefully?

If EDUCATED people handle things the way Dovlo has done, then Ghana is doomed. My suspicion (just suspicion) is that the Counsel of the land owners may also have something to hide. There is the possibility that the landowners are/have been swindled or short-changed of the compensation. This is rather the point from where we can say: Please let's follow events/proceedings carefully!!
