Our people are so poor and can hardly make ends meet, yet they tell us our economy is improving. Why can't we feel the improvement in our pockets and stomachs. Do we blame them? Our leaders are "supercorrupt" and think less about the country. They cannot even establish, or promote the establishment of industries. Just look at Wayome's case that judgement has just been given on. Even common toothpick, Ghana has to import. What do we produce to export? Nothing. Except galamsey going on now. Tell the truth that Ghana is broke. Even teachers and nurses who are new have to wait for months or years to be paid. Is that how an economy grows. How long have Doctors and pharmacists been on strike for better pay? Ghana can be rich but there is so much rot in the system.

Agyeman you are obviously a student or a product of imperialist economics. One can simply not compare socialist economics with capitalist slave-created exploitative economics. Of course you will need to first exorcise your mind from the debilitating effects of the oppressive slave mentality before you can begin to understand this.

China is in fact way ahead of even the most advanced western economic power that thrives on cheap blood-resources from poverty induced third-world countries. That is why today the US owes China the worlds largest debt ever in history. If you factor into the equation the fact that China provides free education, a free health system, highly subsidized and often free housing, transportation and many other social facilities for its 1.5 billion citizens, the entire western economy cannot match up in anyway to that of China.

The entire western economy depends on what can be described as the 'industrial plantations' of former slave colonies to keep afloat and survive. The so-called successful economies of the west depend on the continued exploitation, ignorance and poverty of their neo-colonies. Should these neo-colonies rebel at any point in time from their subjective conditions, the western economy would simply crash overnight.

Ghana will never make any headway if it allows itself to be continuously exploited as a neocolony and of course it will take forever - if ever, to extricate poverty from our nation. If we decide to apply different methods, like Kwame Nkrumah did, perhaps we may make considerable improvement like we did in the nine outstanding and glamorous years of the first republic of Ghana.

I think that it is rather you who is being naive in this matter.

When the west hate and dislike you, then it means you are on the right path of development and doing very well for your people and not for them.

It is so obvious that we are rapidly declining down into the sordid ranks of a failed state and this homosexual sympathizer describes this as "commendable?" This is a slap in the face of long-suffering Ghanaians.

As a yardstick, 40 years ago, the incidence of electricity and water supply cuts, where these were provided, was considered shocking and outrageous. Today one is pleasantly surprised and even shocked when common water is made continuously available for two days running. White collar crime and politically inspired or assisted corruption has reached unprecedented and unmanageable levels. Does David Cameron want to tell us that they did not do a reality check on the Ghanaian situation before Mahamas invitation to the UK? Come on give us a break.

Cameron is right to say what he said because Tullows Oil Co operates oil fields in Ghana, and an elephant portion of it benefits the Britons. Poor Nana Addo. For how long will he continue to endure this humiliation from the international community? Nothing could be more spiteful of Nana Addo than for him to be constrained to watch from his sick bed his nemesis receive full honours and, above all, acceptability and approval from of his hosts, more so when they know he's battling against death. Won't the gesture of the French, Japanese and now the British aggravate or even precipitate his death, given his current state of health and his unyilding ambition to be president no matter the cost? But why will the advanced democracies suddenly be falling over each other to invite JM to their capitals and leaving Nana Addo in the cold? Simple folks! The foreign embassies in Accra have become convinced, after following the election petition mid way, that JM is indeed the winner of the 2012 poll and have advised their govts accordingly. The significance of these flurry of diplomatic invitations being extended to JM is to help manage the psyche of diehard NPP supporters who may still be thinking that Nana stood a chance at the supreme court. Secondly, it is a firm mark of imprimatur of acceptance and approval of the advanced countries for JM as the true and legitimate leader of Ghana. In other words, the international community is unequivocally sending the message that they're prepared to work with no one else as leader of Ghana but JM. For JM who has been falsely accused and wrongly contested in court, this endorsement couldn't have come at a more opportune time. After the French, Japanese, Brits, i can forsee the Americans, Germans, Italians, scandivians etc scampering to meet JM and leaving poor Nana deeper in the mud.

I don't blame PM Cameron; he's looking for a boost in trade so he must sing the praises of this atopahene to let him buy from Britain instead of China. But Mr Cameron must know that his representative here would say quite different things. Ghanaians are really suffering!
