HONESTLY, I SMELL A VERY BIG DEAD RAT IN JUSTICE ATUGUBA'S CLOSET.

So, Ladies & gentlemen, how couldn't the Court Registrar and Atuguba both figure out that one of the boxes was missing—for nearly 2 months now? How can we then TRUST this judge that he will render an impartial judgment in this case? His integrity seems compromised with this revelation.

"Wonders, they say, will never end" and Ghanaians have one on their hands!!

If 27 boxes contain 9,800 pink sheets, how will a similar additional box contain 2000 pink sheets? A box can only contain apprx 9,800/27 = 362 pink sheets. Adding this to the 9,800 only gives u 10,162. Why all this dishonest publications?

If Atuguba and the other judges did not know the number of pink slips submitted by the petitioners to begin with, then why did they proceed with the case?

I am not a lawyer but my common sense tells me that the procedures employed by this court are highly questionable.

And by the way, the petioners don't really need 11,000 pink slips to prove their case! NDC/EC arguing that they had only 7,000 or 8,000 slips does not change the case because the votes to annuled on the basis of those numbers alone is enough to remove John Mahama from the presidency.

I think in the calculation of the NDC/EC/Mahama camp, the fight is now to make the court rule for a run off rather than an out right victory for Nana.

Either way, Mahama is out because he cannot win a any runoff in this political environment! Mahama should start packing!

The whole courtroom administration procedures and efficiencies raises a whole lot of questions? It is obvious that the SC judges have not laid out any standards of behaviour, conduct, control, nothing. The are just assuming that the code of ethics of the profession should be implicit and followed.
This is a very sad development and it shows the Ghanaian and the African's level of administrative incompetence.
The result is the unnecessary need to involve an Expert witness like KPMG (which is acting as an Expert Witness NOT a Referee as the SC judges are refereeing to. The SC judges are the Referees NOT KPMG).

i am surprised that the number of pink sheets filed at the court is even debatable. The court upon receipt of pink sheets checked, counted and issued receipt to the petitioner. The various parties are then served by the court with same exhibits. if due to some problem, the respondents received less than submitted to the court, the court should be be able to verify that within minutes. This is no longer the problem of the Petitioner. It appears in this case, NDC is colluding with Mahama and saying they each received less that was submitted to the court. it is up to the court to prove them wrong and not the Petitioners. This is not something we should be wasting our time and resource on. If the respondents are not telling the court the truth about the correct number of pink sheets, then they should be charged with contempt of our court.

A wealthy man decided to go on a safari in Africa. He took his faithful pet Chihuahua along for company. One day, the chihuahua starts chasing butterflies and before long the Chihuahua discovers that he is lost.

So, wandering about, he notices a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the obvious intention of having him for lunch. The chiuahua thinks, "OK, I'm in deep trouble now!" Then he noticed some bones on the ground close by, and immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the chihuahua exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard. I wonder if there are any more around here." Hearing this, the leopard halts his attack in mid-stride, as a look of terror comes over him, and slinks away into the trees. "Whew," says the leopard. "That was close. That Chihuahua nearly had me." Meanwhile, a monkey, who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So, off he goes.

But the chiuahua saw him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figured that something must be up.

The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard. The leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine." Now the Chihuahua sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back, and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" But instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet ... and, just when they get close enough to hear, the Chihuahua says..................

"Where's that darn monkey? Sent him off half an hour ago to bring me another leopard."

If indeed he and his team are looking for the truth they could compel the EC to produce the original documents in contention to court so that they match those with what the petitioners have filed with the court so that if there is no merit they dismiss the case. Why I am saying this? as a lay man common sense will agree with mine submission. When Tsatsu Tsikata and other respondents were doing their cross examination the bench were lenient with them and even with his request for the count of the pink sheets was hurriedly granted and look at how the bench is trying to frustrate the petitioners council to the extent that Justice Atuguba in open court could say that the unwillingness of Tsikata & co to make known the pink sheets they are missing is their strategy. If the court fails to unravel the truth, the truth will surely and eventually emerged no matter the suppression

He did not like the idea of using the pink sheets of any of the judges. The Registrar of the highest court in Ghana has been compromised and can not be trusted. How can a box be brought days after the end the counting.The smuggling of boxes into the court has been on-going since the petitioners protested about the number of pink sheets. If 24 boxes could yield only 9,000 then it means an average of 375 pink sheets per box. Now how come one box will now contain about 2,000 pink sheets to arrive at the magical figure of 2,000 in one single mysterious box. Ghanafuo, I am not good at figures but can someone help me? 9,000 divided by 24 = 375. Maybe I am confused. Ghana is a joke indeed!!

Even assuming, without admiting that this story is true, you can using simple logic determine that there is know way one of the boxes will contain 2000 pink sheets. We know that KPMG counted 32 boxes on the first count and that gave us 13900. This should give you atmost 435 pink sheets per box. This makes it a more realistic figure when you take into account the arguement that Atuguba and all the respondents had 24 boxes which gave them a total less than 10,000. Therefore another boxe will only increase this total by atmost 500 and not 2000 as daily guide want us to swallow. Daily guide should know that not all Ghanaians are dumb and infact we can do our on deductions on facts.

When contacted, Joe Winful, a senior partner at KPMG, declined to make any comment citing ethical grounds. “I won’t be able to confirm and give you figures…, whatever we are doing is still not finished and until we submit our report, I cannot tell you anything that we are working on which has not been communicated to our client,” he told DAILY GUIDE on Monday.
