  Please becareful with your comments. China's foreign policies have always favoured Ghana and the third world. The deeds of some indisciplined Chinese in Ghana and some heavy handedness used out of frustration by some of our people should not sour relationship nor generate any misguided and xenophobic comments in this forum. Ghana will always appreciate Chinese support against colonialism and imperialism, hence avoidance of making any comments in response to the communique. This does not mean that, we should also encourage disorder or indiscipline in Ghana OR, close our eyes on the implications of Ghanaian middlemen who encouraged them in the name of greed.

  Antwi Danso let me tell you that in todays world all sensible political leaders use the media to flaunt or bully their way through issues. In todays world politics and diplomacy have come to depend more on the media than on the out-dated and ineffective talk-shops that were the order of the day about 40 years ago.
  
  Your 1940s notes on international relations does not apply any more to countries that want to play a commanding and dominant role in international politics.
  
  In any case, are you also a state actor to advice govt on how to react to the Chinese diplomats press conference?
  
  You sound like some of these crass and ignorant opinions of the lunatic fringe of Ghana who very clearly and unknown to themselves, are being manipulated to look elsewhere at the small time Chinese galamsey miners to distract them from seeing the gargantuan nation sabotaging activities of those who have continued looting Ghana and Africa big time.
  
  As for the govt of Ghana, they are clearly lost in the plot. In the same way that Ghanaians were manipulated to vilify those who helped us and fought with us in the independence and liberation struggles of Africa, today we are being craftily being manipulated to despise those who can more likely assist us to recover from the tragedy of the African situation.
  
  If you were truly an expert and you understood the dynamics of the evolving situation, you would have rather come out with your pompous academic credentials to educate the public on how better to understand and manage the dire situation instead of adding fuel to it.

Dr Danso is absolute right only if Mahama and co will listen. Whatever we do, we should not forget there are reasonable Ghanaians in China and any action individually or officially will have untold repercussions and I do not think any of the countries want that. More so we can blame our poor security and breakdown immigration apparatus on the Chinese. If we had proper immigration system, they would have been caught but Ghana appears to be free zone where anyone gets plane ticket and fly to Ghana.

People are talking about Loans. Loans my foot! Who stands to gain more form that loan? Ghanaians or the Chinese? Having served with the UN all over the world,and having had the misfortune of coming face to face with stateless persons, it is just right to protect one´s country, no matter how poor. Are the Tuaregs in Northerne Mali not fighting for a place where they can call a country? If our unscrupolous and greedy selfish politicians and chiefs know how important a country is, they wouldn´t be indulging in such unpatriotic and disgraceful acts by aidding and abbeting foreigners to destroy our natural resources.
  Let us get these Chinese out of our country! Are they the only country that can give us loan? It is about time Ghanaians rise up against these criminals who are parading themselves as politicians and gradually destroying our very survival.The Chinese should go to hell a thousand times. Would they enterain such nonsense in their dirty smelling country by a foreigner? Rats!   Why must the government of Ghana not respond? It is absolutely illogical to advice our government not to respond to assure its own people that their safety, their land and environmental interests will be protected at all times and at all cost. It is indeed more so important for our government to do so when a foreign government representative stands on our soil and demand, in essence, security and humane treatment for its nationals engaged in illegal activities.
  Ghana will find itself in this quandary unless we manage our money and resources wisely and prevent the looting that has been going on since 1966. China is rich because the government owned everything. Ghana is poor because a few stole everything while they pretend we are in a democratic system as a result a rich communist nation and the thieving democratic wanna-be crowd and sticking it to the rest of Ghana’s majority working poor. Go figure.

After such a tour no diplomat would be able to fault the special tax force charged with trying to protect our rivers and the environment.

I'll rather be poor than be dictated to. Ghana ought not to be poor if our leaders will make sure we get value for our resources. we dash all our important resources to these countries and go back to them for loans, grants etc. what a shame.God dey. One day things will improve in my fatherland. the right people will be in power and Ghana will be great again. what are we getting from our oil and gold etc? virtually nothing! and why should it be like that, and more importantly, why should the good people of Ghana tolerate this nonsense from our leaders who sell off our resources so cheaply?
