  I really admire the thought process of the President of the AfDB, Africa is being cheated and destroyed! It's our leaders' responsibility to voice out, and take matters seriously to minimize such unfairness.

  Of course, companies will not pay more than they have to. But you need to consider, they can rip off African countries only because African leaders are so corrupt that they are giving away their countries wealth for gains to their personal wealth. It is mostly Africans who do the greatest damage to Africa.

  African leaders can be currupt no doubt, but which African leader tells mining companies to threaton, African nations. If they are not allowed to have virtually tax free access to African resources.
  
  I don't understand the African mindset these people still say that they civilised you. Through slavery and colonialism and that you should be grateful, that Africa will never amount to anything and you sill pussy foot. Around with these racist bastards when African get independent economic, military, cultural then, racism will disappear overnight.
  
  Until African get power you will be always treated like shit at EU airports and ports of entry its simple. If mining companies don't get what they want and you use the word nationalise you will be guaranteed a visit from NATO.

  African politicians and elites give away African resources, which could be used to improve the peoples' lives.
  
  Take Ghana for example, how much shares does the country own in the oil ,and gold being exploited?
  
  Shamefully, we don't own more than 20% in gold and oil combined. The oil and mining companies also use transfer pricing tricks to avoid paying the right amount of taxes.
  
  You want me to blame the white mining companies? Go to Mali and other African countries and see. African officials have invited the Chinese, Koreans, Americans, the Saudis and others to buy up arable lands for commercial farming, thereby displacing the poor peasants from their lands.
  
  Until Africans hold their so-called leaders accountable, Africans will continue to be treated as inferior everywhere we go. Period!
